I have heard some players talk about some of the guilds might team up in the battle with bolas. I personally love Sultai but now that golgari and dimir are split that won't happen. So I started thinking about Jund when I realized there is the perfect chararcter to see in the battle. A character who lives on Ravnica, loves wars, and is Jund.
Well, it's not impossible, though I see no reason why the original can't simply be reprinted, barring the desire to play better with Gruul and Rakdos' mechanics. You got me thinking about the idea of color trios in that third set. Sultai actually is possible, but it would be between Dimir and Simic. Assuming the two sides will be color-balanced, these are the possible trios within each side:
Thing is, Bolas himself will be UBR, so unless Rakdos ends up being one of the Bolas guilds, we're not likely to see a Grixis team up so to speak. But maybe they'll just do a cycle of tricolor legends, including Bolas himself. Shattergang Brothers could be the Jund legend of the set.
More likely though, I think we'll see legends who didn't fit into GRN or RNA, like Feather and Teysa (the Obzedat will likely appear alongside Kaya in RNA).

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Keep in mind the 3rd set won't be about the Guilds, it'll be about the war against Bolas' army. We might get a few multicolor cards, including legends, but it won't be anywhere near the volume of GRN or RNA. That said, there'll certainly be room for cards of all ten pairs.

To be fair, as long as there are at least two of them, they can still be the Shattergang Brothers.
I'm hoping to see a third cycle of Guild legends. Much like how Jace became Living Guildpact by uniting the Maze Runners, I suspect a key to Bolas' defeat lies in uniting the Guilds against him, starting with a close ally within each guild. To that end, I suspect Lavinia may be saved for the 3rd set since she's a close ally of Jace and the Gatewatch (which would leave Leonos II as the most likely candidate for an Azorius legend in RNA).
Likewise, I expect Teysa will be the Orzhov ally of choice.
Of course, if Emmara isn't the Selesnya ally, then who would be? Though I suppose it's possible Ajani ends up taking the Selesnya legend spot, in which case not every guild will be getting a third legendary creature in the third set. If they were willing to put five or six PWs in the third set, it would be neat to get PWs for color combos not covered in the first two sets. Right now, that includes UB (Tezzeret), GW (Ajani), and RW (umm...Chandra + Gideon? :P).

I don’t think “the final battle” is happening very soon, mostly because we are missing a few big planeswalker a: Sorin Markov and Elspeth Tirel. They reminded us recently that Sorin is still stuck in the wall and to my knowledge Ajani has yet to return to Theros to Rescue Elsepth from the underworld, as that is how that plane deals with “death”.
True the might have forgotten about Elspeth like they forgot about Garruk (who would be the next “big bad” as last we saw him he was hunting planeswalker), but the fact they reminded us about Sorin means there are plans for him.
Were there only two Shattergang Brothers? The P/T and abilities made me think there were at least three.

Originally there were three, Rakkig Gardagig and Dargig, but Dargig was killed by Krenko.
Dargig was the bomb expert in the trio, so maybe if the bros get a new card with just two Rakkig and Gardagig, it will have two abilities instead of the three on the original card.

Garruk was cured and forgoten after M14-M15 and the (last) Duel of Planeswalkers game(2015).

Hmm, a monored 2/2 Goblin Artificer with a B ability and a G ability?

They could do that. Another cycle of legends like the FRF Khans would be neat, though I would have suggested that for a return to Alara.
My favored guess is still a cycle of guild legends who pitch in to help fight Bolas' army.

It's Shattergang Brothers.
So do you think that Wizards might make a new card for Shattergang Brothers in one of the new sets?
"Good Guys"
GWU Selesnya + Simic
UBR Dimir + Rakdos
RGW Selesnya + Boros
RWB Rakdos + Boros
BGU Dimir + Simic
Bolas
WUB Azorius + Orzhov
BRG Gruul + Golgari
GUR Gruul + Izzet
WBG Orzhov + Golgari
URW Azorius + Izzet

There's only a little problem for a Shattergang Brothers repring: 1 of the brothers was killed by Krenko.

Then it will be Shattergang brother. We got Pia and Kiran and later a sad and lonely Pia, now we can get one
