What if they made a masters set entirely dedicated to combos. Not just infinite combos, and not just durdly, Johnny/Jenny combos, but other fun things. Just basically a masters set in which the build-arounds are all groups of cards which combo with each other in some way. Like Sanguine Bond and Exquisite Blood, or Avenger of Zendikar and Craterhoof Behemoth, or Deadeye Navigator and Palinchron.
Or even less powerful or more subtle synergies like exert creatures and vigilance-granting abilities.
I think it would be a fun product. I could see the draft rules adjusted to allow the first pick of a pack to be two cards instead of one, just to ensure everyone gets a fair chance at a combo without people getting to hate draft it. Or something, idk.
I guess Masters 25th was designed with this exact aspect in mind.
Not that every single card in the set has a corresponding one that forms a combo, but instead of 10 well defined archetypes for each color pair, the set was a bit more open.
Well Palinchron is on the reserve list, so maybe Cloud of Faeries or of that ilk. I think that the are making a second iconic masters, but I feel that they should have just kept the tag as "Eternal" all of these masters sets are kind of situational or "seasonal" sets. 25th had a lot of combo-ish cards in it so I think that would be a good idea on their part from a consistency standpoint.
I could see a Combo Masters product having cards like Splinter Twin, Bear Umbra, and Panharmonicon. But, rather than a set full of just reprints, what if they did a supplemental set dedicated to combos, much like Battlebond was dedicated to 2HG?

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

Heck, what if it was a sequel to Battlebond, set in the same world, with a theme of players being able to combo off each other? Though I could see a theme like Alchemy also working.

Sure, though CSC might be better for set building purposes.

But I thought Hasbro regretted Urza's block?
EDIT:
Skimming back through those sets. I can't even joke - they were just so, so good.

Does this count as necroposting? In that case, I'll post an appropriate combo:
