Magus of the order, as in Natural Order? I'm probably way off, but it exiles itself to get a green creature? I'd actually play it though.
This seems more likely than Magus of the Channel or Magus of the Eureka. Other vague possibilities include Life from the Loam (Magus of the Loam), Glimpse of Nature (Magus of the Glimpse), Scapeshift (Magus of the Shift?), and Tooth and Nail (Magus of the Tooth). These are all way newer, and probably less likely. I think Natural Order seems like the most likely contender.
What about Magus of the Natural? Order sounds white.
Does it have to be a pre-Modern Sorcery? Because Magus of the Genesis would be sweet.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

Tooth and Nail would be awesome. I'd get a few copies however the two abilities would be hard to mediate through entwine, unless the activation cost would have to be 9 to have both abilities. Maybe for 7 it gives you just the option of either or?
I have a personal fondness for messing with the color pie and giving green a ridiculous utility creature, so I would vote for Magus of the Twister any day for Desert Twister. Now the exact cost for this kind of effect in mono green would be a big ol' question mark.
There are a few possibilities other than Eureka or Channel. Note, I will be sticking to green pre-eight edition sorceries. I will also be ignoring Cold Snap for obvious reasons.
Magus of Rebirth, drop the ante part and change it to reset your lifetotal to your starting life total instead of 20, and you're good to go.
Magus of the Collective Unconscious, the most likely candidate in my opinion. Collective Unconscious is a really good card.
Magus of Elephant Resurgence, good if you have a heavy creature deck and was recently hit by mass removal. Bonus points if it is an Elephant Wizard/Druid.
Magus of Nature's Resurgence. Note that you will draw at least one card of it.
Magus of Saproling Symbiosis. Another likely candidate, will often produce a boatload of saprolings in the right deck. Is completely bonkers with doubling season and almost any form of recursion, unless it exiles itself.
Magus of New Frontiers. You get a land, and you get a land, everybody gets a land /meme
Magus of Crush of Wurms. Hi, I would like three 6/6 wurm tokens with trample, please.
And that is about all I could find that would be worth making a Magus of. Personal favorite Magus of Saproling Symbiosis. Imagine it in either a Golgari deck or a token deck. Insanity, thy name is green.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
Could be something as basic as "Magus of Cultivation", that lets you tap to Cultivate.
Or something more obscure like "Magus of Corrosion", which taps to Creeping Corrosion every turn.
And if we're going really off the wall, "Magus of the Surge", where he taps to Primal Surge.

The "Crazy One", playing casual magic and occasionally dipping his toes into regular play since 1994.
Currently focusing on Pre-Modern (Mono-Black Discard Control) and Modern (Azorious Control, Temur Rhinos).

Magus of the Find? Everyone knows εὕρηκα means "I found". Yeah, it would still stick out compared to the rest.
Magus of the Tooth could be in reference to Tooth and Nail.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

Primal Surge magus would be solid, but it would also be a 10-drop based on the pattern of how these cards are built. I'm not sold on a ten-drop that I have to sac, personally (a theoretical Biorhythm magus, as someone pitched earlier, would be fine to that end despite an 8-drop with a sac ability not being particularly appealing either...). It also violates the rule behind the others (of being old), which might be okay because we might have only seen ones based on old spells up to this point. But it feels less likely considering how all the others have been so far.
And no, a theoretical Magus of the Creeping Corrosion would not be able to be tapped "every turn," it would die just like the others would on using their ability, unless it was part of a separate cycle (or not part of a cycle at all).

Biorythm is pre-eight edition, so it is pretty old.

If that's true, then Eureka Magus has much stronger chance to be printed than Channel one (but isn't obviously definitive since Balance wasn't a RL card and get printed)
Note that he is talking about the three original cycles of "magus's", and not the current cycle. Only half of the current cycle we have gotten so far are cards from the reserved list. Both Balance and Mind's Desire are not. It seems the only qualifier for the current batch is that the card is a sorcery and powerful.

I say, Iconic it's a more fitting word. All Magus represent iconic cards (which, of course, are also all pretty powerful on their own, that's why they are iconic in the first place). But how we can judge how much a card is iconic for the game? Well, a criteria could be, among the other things, throwbacks and meta-references of other cards of said iconic card...But looking at the Vintage/Legacy banned, restricted list, is a very fitting criteria, because it seems that almost all Magus comes anyway from there. Anyway, are cards that made the history of the game, and older players recognize them as such.
And I'd go with "Banned in Legacy". That leaves only Channel.
Of the suggestions here, I'd rather have a magus based on either Channel or Eureka, as I can't run a normal Channel in commander, and a lot of players are priced out of playing Eureka in commander. If not one of these, I'd love to see one based on Tooth and Nail.
Magus of the Weeds would be adorable, especially if they made it a Cat Wizard.

Not to revive dead topics, but if they wanted to go the aggressive route, a Triumph of the Hordes magi would be cool (Magus of the Hordes?)
Interesting as that would be, it would also mean committing to bringing back infect in a Commander product, which would be divisive; if the rules committee decided to make the infect victory condition in Commander 20 counters instead of 10, then it would be much less controversial, but that move comes with its own set of problems.
"2GG, T, Sacrifice ~ and another green creature: Search your library for a green creature card and put it onto the battlefield. Then shuffle your library."
