Will we ever see full art versions of the snow-covered lands? I know its a long shot but it seems like a fun addition to the next Commander, Archenemy, or Planechase set. I would really like a bunch of full art Snow-Covered Mountain to tech out my Godo, Bandit Warlord Commander deck.
No kidding. Snow was a cool mechanic that didn't get any real time in the limelight. Perhaps it will again some day. I think we'd all be interested in that.

while i'd love to see some snow mechanics come back, i think quite a few people would be a bit iffy about it.
mind you, the game changes every set, and mechanics ebb and flow like tides. if someone doesn't like a mechanic, they can suck it up. it's better to have more new ideas when a few of them aren't great, than no new ideas at all.

Modern: G Tron, Vannifar, Jund, Druid/Vizier combo, Humans, Eldrazi Stompy (Serum Powder), Amulet, Grishoalbrand, Breach Titan, Turns, Eternal Command, As Foretold Living End, Elves, Cheerios, RUG Scapeshift
That would be an ice thing. The snow-covered lands are all beautiful and definitely deserve full arts. Though, it would have to be in a new Standard block, and while Maro said they would use snow if it's appropriate to the setting, they won't go out of their way to make a set with snow in it.
Why not have any of the ETB tapped land with two land types? I'd be content w/ painlands w/ two land types. The power of those land lie in their ability to be grabbed by cards like Nature's Lore or Knight of the White Orchid.
I would buy so many of whatever they put them it's unreal. All my edh decks are snow. I would play them in standard and modern too if legal. Snow is just such an awesome mechanic which has barely been explored and all the while beautiful art.
I think they could use snow as a returning mechanic in a Core set. It's a big set so there would be no problem with drafting like in Coldsnap. They could also easily print snow basics and duals in a core set. They could also reprint snow cards from Ice Age block. If they don't want to dedicate a full block to it it would be a really nice way to bring it back.
It would help explain the extra cards in the new core set. You could have a set of snow duel lands as well as two more of each of the basic snow lands. That sounds as good as any theory right now to me.
I fully expect the next Eldrazi block to involve snow permanents. I just feel like Kiora trying to steal Marit Lage (giant 20/20 kraken from coldsnap) just fits way too perfectly.
I really don't see the appeal of the Snow mechanic it is extremely parasitic and self contained to within the block. Unlike things like Metalcraft (they print artifacts in every set), Landfall (Well they are everywher....), Devotion (spells have mana symbols), Bestow (creatures need auras), etc...
The last sets to use such parasitic mechanics were Coldsnap with Snow and Kamigawa with Arcane. The minor Gate them in RtR block was just that a minor theme. Maybe you could make an argument for Infect as well.
Also in an environment with Snow if there is just a lot of stuff that deals with snow then it becomes a disadvantage to not use it unless there is a competing mechanic which leads to more parasitic things going on.
Your problem is the assumption that Snow has to be the major theme.
I like snow. I think it works great as a minor background theme. I think one of the issues with Coldsnap (as opposed to Ice Age and Alliances) was that it was overly reliant on Snow. It seemed like, both in terms of the art, the feel, and the mechanics, that the set just went "LOL SNOW GUYS."
A good 'Snow' block needs to be set on an icy plane, but not be an entire block about ice. Have a few cards that care about snow. Have some snow covered lands, more for art effect and diversity than a sharp adherence to 'Snow matters'.
Make it feel like a real set in a real place; not a Christmas Kiosk in a strip mall.

Cyme we inne frið, fram the grip of deaþ to lif inne ðis smylte land.
the problem with coldsnap is that it relied too much on other things instead of snow. the snow-caring cards were almost all meh and playing snow just for them wasn't worth it. the set focused more on other stupid things, like trying to make cumulative upkeep a good mechanic. guess what wotc, it's impossible.
the only use i see for braid of fire is to pay the cumulative upkeep of other things...

Be a lemming hunter. Don't be a lemming. Really, all you had to do was explain to him the popularity metric, not give him the lemming hunter manifesto...
So, if they have snow lands in the set, does that mean there are nonland snow cards and/or snow mana costs?

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Thoughts?
But then again, I've long been of the opinion they don't make full use of Snow anyways.
They don't make any use of snow sadly.
No kidding. Snow was a cool mechanic that didn't get any real time in the limelight. Perhaps it will again some day. I think we'd all be interested in that.
Radha, Heir to Keld, Vorel of the Hull Clade, Kemba, Kha Regent, Vela the Night-Clad, Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, Barrin, Master Wizard, Slobad, Goblin Tinkerer, Patron of the Orochi, Oloro, Ageless Ascetic, Thraximundar, Roon of the Hidden Realm, Prossh, Skyraider of Kher, Marath, Will of the Wild, Teneb, the Harvester
If you did this, tell me and I'll credit you!

Sorry, I couldn't resist!
ALso, I doubt we'll ever see snow lands at all reprinted. Unless they do that Viking set...

Snow lands are gorgeous.
Kaldheim, 2016-17? We've seen that plane twice now, in Planechase and Duels 14! I'd be down for that. Full-art snow lands would be nice!
