I think many (most? Is that safe to assume?) are blown away by this news. The only thing bigger would be Star Wars and Magic... but Magic and Marvel? These is a dream mash-up. This is what geekdom has been brewing up in custom card forums for over two decades now.
We can now actually have some credence in the idea of this as a reality. This isn't a spot for custom card creation, but since we do have a deep understanding of the physical, the history of and the characteristics of the heroes, as well as the maniacal reasoning, the origin stories of and the psychology of the villains (and everything in between... like J.A.R.V.I.S., CXD-23 from S.H.I.E.L.D., or any character that's been important but neither a hero or a villain, like Lucius Fox).
In the trailer we see allusions to Captain America (his shield) and Thor (his hammer & the comic the boy is reading). He's also ready an X-something comic, where the X is in a circle... but don't know which one that is.
Captain America, flavor wise has to be RWU, a human soldier.
Thor, RW, a human barbarian
I would even go so far as to say both of the items are so iconic, I can see them as legendary equipment.
For now, I'll just leave my brief guesses at the color of the card, creature type and what I see as class/role (job?... is there a better word for it? In D&D it's the character's class, so I'd go with that).
I am not sure about Thor being a human. They could give him just the god type, too. I don't see them adding Asgardian as type. I am not familiar with the comics just the movies and some animated series and God sounds the most likely for me. Their weapon are iconic for sure and white/red usually has a heavy equipment focus.
I am a little confused about the color distribution, tho. Most heroes (almost every hero) act selfless and show traits that will be in mtgs white color while most villain will be black aligned... Sure they can add some color to spice it up a little and there are some exceptions but the core seems to be good(selfless, good for most people) agains bad (selfish, good for themself).
I can see Hulk being a green/red card while being the Hulk. Dr. Bruce Banner would be more core blue and white. It may depend in which state of the story (or time in their life) they are shown in the card. Thanos seems to be Black/White... at least the motive to wipe out half the galaxy wasn't totally evil.
I can see them making a basic mono colored circle of popular super heroes/villain like Blue Ironman/ Doctor X, Red Thor/Wolverine, Black Black Widow?, Green Hawkeye?, White Captain America but I am just throwing names now. And in addition have them as multicolor cards in the same product... like in LotR sets.
I actually really like your monocolor suggestions…
Mono White Captain America
Mono Blue Mr. Fantastic
Mono Green Hemswor-Thor
Mono Red Hulk
Mono Black Widow
And we absolutely need a commander deck for each of the above original avengers.
If they keep all 5 monocolored, filled with bomb staples, that set would sell gang busters no matter how high they price it.
I am curious to speculate what color combos work best for various newer avengers (Please keep atleast 5 of the OG Monocolored).
Black Panther = UW
Doctor Strange Stark = UB? (Hes smart, well read, and plans but he is also reckless and was a greedy narcissist before his accident)
Natalie Portman Thor = UG??
Yes falcon captain america would obvious be WHITE, but you couls add BLUE for his strategic and technical mind, RED for his red hot passion for justice and the red hot passion he induces in women and Green for his preference for natural exercise and refusal to use injectables/steroids/super soldiers formulas he was offered and turned down in that disney plus show no one watched.
On second thought, yes just keep both captains mono white.
But with a multicolored or RWU captain america, you could easily swap white for black in his Hydra version.
What would Thanos colors be? WG for his unhealthy obsession with nature + R for choatic random half live and half die + U for his staregic mind and stone cold heart + B for obesession with death? Which colors of the infinity stones did I miss?

and for one of those UB creature types unless they just do “Alien” or “ooze” I think “symbiote” might be a creature type.

because Marvel Characters nowadays arent that one dimentional anymore
and it allows them to partner with any Contraption. Many heroes have a significantly different alter ego, which could call for a DFC.
Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."
