I would love to see Ixidor given a new card if they are revisiting Odyssey/Onslaught characters. He could be another option for morph decks, and I can see him being either monoblue or have a blue cmc and a colored activated ability to keep morph deck options open.
morph is in all colors and all colors have decent flip up tricks

I know that, we just don’t know what kind of cycle these legends will be. That’s why I said a new Ixidor could be monoblue based on past cycles or they could do like these latest JumpStart legends and have off color abilities. I’d be all for an Ixidor with abilities that make him five colors. Not just a generic five color activation like Golos or new Sisay, but a couple of abilities, or more, that fill out his color identity.
"I would compare Commander Legends to neither of those. The big difference is tons of awesome new cards. There are some cool and notable reprints, for sure, but the focus with the set is really on the new cards. Over 70 new legends is just the tip of the iceberg. :)"
So besides the 70 new legends there will be a lot of new cards
This, combined with the fact that we got a surprisingly high number of commander reprints in core 21 and jumpstart, make me think that we really need to tamp down our expectations for reprints in commander legends. Wotc knows they can space out the reprints and sprinkle them however they want. This set gives them the chance to create over a hundred new chase cards for the format, and they don't have to worry about balancing them for constructed or modern.

I did in fact come with a theory of quite a bit of these reprints are ones not showing up in commander legends
And they are focusing on newer cards
But for a reminder gavin confirmed one new card in commander legends
They are finishing the sorcery magus cycle (the green one is coming here)
I just hope that Gix gets a card, and that his card is a mythic, I really hope they don't pull a Kaervek on him, anyway there should be some uncommon legends, hard to imagine who is going to be demoted to uncommon prob a lot of new characters that they are introducing in Commander legends, a legendary dog should be in that set for sure

at least we already have a good kaervek for a commander
and they would never do that to the phyrexians and gix is almost certain for this hey might be a tiny bones Esque legend

Hopefully, anyways with 70+ legends and the 6 new legends from the commander decks they have the tools to pretty much have every important character that never got a card to get one.
The 2 separate commander decks that release with commander legends can also have some sweet reprints

Yep
And theory about the decks I think they may be tribal decks
So we can make room for the legends (some will be tribal legends)
Speaking of tribal I'm willing to bet one of the tribes in commander legends will be more missing pieces for dogs
Oh and by the way for the reprints of Jumpstart and Core 2021 I think it will buffer
But you guys forgot something it might be 3 sets that lessen the prices of commander staples
I honestly expect (or hope for) a cycle of low-impact draft-specific color identity smoothing. Maybe something like
Commander's Hawk
Creature- Bird
Supporter (When you draft this card, if you have not selected a supporter, you may draft this card face-up into your command zone.)
Flying
2/2
Something to act as a kinda-sorta extra commander that wouldn't actually affect the commander format in general and that would let you stick an extra color in your deck if you are having a hard time staying to just the colors of your commander (which seems like a very genuine risk in a limited environment).
I think that collector boosters will be in Commander Legends, and some if not all the new legendary creatures will get borderless full art threatment
I feel like that will be either crossover like the Godzilla cards or old style art like some of the cards in double masters showcase art
I'm gonna go with a bold prediction they will use old-school art(Like what they did with Karn and Urza lands in 2xm) for collector boosters and a frame that somewhat resembles their 1st frame

I love that the showcase simply being how cards looked near the alpha/earlier sets of magic
Oh by the way I heard from many if/when days a 2.0 of the praetors from new phyrexia we're big when's
So what do people think they'll show us on the 22th?
What I think they'll reveal
>How we will draft Commander
>Collector Boosters
>Green Magus, 5-6 legendary creatures and some other cards
>The contents of Commander Collection Green
>The release date for CMR

For cards probably around 15 cards (give or take 1-5) split into thirds (legends, new cards, reprints)
They mention future of commander so maybe another rule change or how they will be doing commander decks like the6 did with zendikar rising
The draft works will happen and also release date will happen for sure
When it comes to legends I predict they will reveal the following
>New Baron Sengir
>GIX
>BW Innistradi Angel
>Jeska PW
>A new Urza and Mishra
>Some random legend they made to fit in some tribal theme (Werewolves for example)

I think we will see like 3 cards outright max, but I do think we will see more art work/ named legends dropped. Rest I think is on point.

"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
I'd love a non-foil Thrasios and Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis, in the new Legendary frames.
Here's to hoping for even more Theros legends, and characters from the Kamigawa books finally getting cards, such as Choryu, Boss Uramon, an updated O-Kagachi, Kyodai, etc.
So many Legendary creatures though, can anyone here even name 80 legendaries(70 plus in the set plus 6 in the commander legends decks) in the lore than really do need to get a card
I’m worried that a lot of these legends will be Kaervek Core 21 levels of awful but will spark lore memories. I’d personally like a Yawgmoth at his final form. Urza. Three color Theros Gods. Three color guild leaders since those “bond” cards indicate guilds fusing their message.
I wonder if they do it in a Jumpstart like way?

They filled quite a few blanks in core 2021 in tribes and themes

Don't forget double masters it's already got blightsteel colossus, doubling season (well another shot at this one) , Atraxa, Praetor's Voice and Kaalia of the Vast
Ok Oubliette is being reprinted either here or double masters
EDIT: it's double masters! And more powerful than before now too with the rewording
