It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
Gideon likely dies. Which I feel is a shame, as I don't think his story is done.
Nissa also likely dies. She doesn't have much a 'hook' left. Or, put another way, if Gideon is going to die even though everything dealing with Theros is still unresolved, Nissa also likely dies, even though 'rebuilding devastated planes' is a fine story continuation for her.
Jace doesn't die. Chandra doesn't die. Liliana doesn't die. They're the three most popular PWs.
Of supporting cast, Sorin and Nahiri are pretty clearly going to live, as there is no reason to narratively show their feud continuing unless they will continue it into the future.
Karn is going to live, as his concern is the likely next large arc.
Ugin, though, could very easily die. He is hyper-focused these days on dealing with Bolas. I like his 'planar ecology' approach to noninterference, but that has taken a back seat recently.
I hope Tamiyo doesn't die.
I think that if Nissa dies, Kiora may very well 'replace' her. Another Zendikari PW who is UG (though more evenly than Nissa) who likes ramping.
Ob Nixilis likely survives given that he is the 'other' 'tyrant PW' who can take over from Nicol Bolas.
Jaya likely dies. Teferi may or may not die. I think signs point to 'no', but it could go either way.
Teyo, Davriel, and the Wanderer are all too new to die, IMO.
Jiang Wanggu likely lives.
Ral Zarek probably dies. I hope Vraska doesn't, but she might.
The odds that any given GR PW dies is pretty high given the relative glut of them they have. Domri Rade almost certainly will die, given that he seems the most pro-Bolas PW out there.

This...shouldn't matter. Popularity shouldn't affect plot. I'll invoke Game Of Thrones and leave it at that.
I do think that if Jace DOES live, his newfound attitude of actually taking responsibility for the choices he's made may lead him to quit the Gatewatch in favor of actually being the Guildpact.

Agree about Jaya. Teyo probably ends up replacing Gideon if Gideon dies. Unless Liliana brings him back. I've said for a while either Jace or Vraska goes. Domri just bugs me for some reason, he could go. Dovin seems like a non-character and his inclusion on Bolas' side is just weird to begin with, not for personality reasons but just pure odds. The only actual connection between Dovin and Bolas was the Gatewatch. How did they meet? How did he get recruited? Unless Bolas' influence on Liliana's contract has more of a hold on her than we know about? Or Bolas is the Raven Man, and she's been his unwitting spy on the Gatewatch this entire time?
And Tezzeret needs to give the Bridge tech to Phyrexia.
Then there's all the redshirts - Arlinn, Ashiok, Huatli, etc. Flip a coin. My personal doubt is that the body count of known characters will be pretty low. Three maybe, at most?

I'm not sure of that Baan is very much under the mantle of the "well-intentioned extremist", and if he thinks you are an asset to his vision (like Tezzeret was on Kaladesh, despite his personality issues), he's more than happy to defer to you.
I can see Baan going either way here. On one hand, he is a fundamentally decent person who just has... ideas on way society could function. That's the whole reason he took over the Azorious, and Bolas' true intentions are kinda anathemic to that. Also, the flavor text of Dovin's Veto strongly suggest there's something deeper at work with him.
As far as who I think lives or dies...
Samut- 75% sure she dies. This is way too personal of a situation for her, and I can see it costing her.
Bolas- 75% sure he lives. He's going to lose, but I don't think he dies.
Ashiok- Almost certain they live. One of the few true villians here, will be needed further down.
Kasmina- 50/50. Could be a hook for post-WAR storytelling, could be a mauve shirt. We'll have to see.
Domri- Almost certain he dies. He'll have bought too hard into the end-raze for it to be otherwise.
Teyo- Almost certain he lives. The way he's marketed, it seems like they have plans for him.
Ral Zarek- Leaning towards him dying. His position is too volitaile.
Tamiyo- Leaning towards her living. She's a fairly non-action girl to begin with, but shown to be a survivor. I can see her helping come up with a plan to beat Bolas, but don't see her on the front lines in harms way when it happens.
Karn- Completely certain he lives.
Jaya- Almost completely certain she dies. I was amazed she survived Dominaria.
Tibalt- Already confirmed to have survived
The Wanderer- Almost completely certain she lives. Something tells me she's going to get herself intentionally trapped with the immortal sun, though, to stop her planeswalking "curse". Either way, she's too intriguing to off yet.
Kiora- 50/50. I can see her doing something entirely reckless and stupid that gets her killed.
Sorin- Probably lives, unless Ugin gets completely fed up with him.
Teferi- 75% certain he lives. If he's going to die, I think its going to be in the New Phyrexia story.
Angrath- 75% certain he dies. I don't think there's much else to use him for.
Baan- 75% certain he dies. Almost certain he dies, if not a hero, not the villian we all think he is.
Ajani- Confirmed lived.
Arlinn- 75% certain she dies. What else is there for her?
Ob Nixilis- Completely certain he lives. Just too good a villian to side-swipe him in another guys story.
Jiang- Completely certain he lives. I don't think they're going to off someone they invested heavily in to market to the Asian market.
Huatli- 50/50. Her story's done, but I can see her being usable in the future.
Sarkhan- 75% certain he's going to die. This is too personal for him.
Saheeli- Almost certain she's going to live. If anything, Huatli saves her in a heroic sacrifice.
Narset- 75% certain she lives. I think Wizards has more planned for her.
Nahiri- 75% certain she dies. I think the Sorin/Nahiri feud gets a casualty, and I don't think the survivor's going to be all that happy about it in the end.
Ugin- 50/50. But he'll be instrumental in Bolas' defeat
Davriel- Completely certain he lives. Just too cool to kill, right?
Vraska- 75% certain she survives, although I totally can see her going out in a heroic sacrifice.
Kaya- 75% certain she lives. I think Wizards has more for her.
Jace- 75% certain he lives. We need to go back to Vryn.
Gideon- 50/50. Hazoret's warning from the last Amonkhet story should be blaring very loudly right now. Especially with the Amonkhet gods coming into play.
Liliana- 75% certain she lives. That trailer tried WAY too hard to convince us she was going to die, and we still need to figure out this Raven Man stuff.
Nissa- Almost certain she lives.
Chandra- Confirmed survivor
Vivien- 50/50. This was the moment she was created for, after all.
Baan is literally the worst aspects of blue and white combined. An extremist with the mindset of either you fall in line or you are removed, which is right up Azorious's alley.

Hope they don't kill Nissa. She could be a good seed for a character to leave lingering in the multiverse that has a long lifespan and has been involved with multiple threats for newer walkers to seek out. I think she'd be an awesome survivor type character. Super grizzled traveling from war torn world to war torn world mending and healing them.
She is tied to chandra in a way that could lead to a lot of growth for chandra I think. Especially if they push her into RG.
I think nissa's perspective on fighting for and saving zendikar could form a redemption style story for nahiri. Nahiri was so focused on paying sorin back she never even tried to fight for zendikar, nor did she interact with Ugin or the gatewatch on zendikar from what we know. Nissa also knows sorin, and would give that plot more texture if they dig into it.
She's one of the only characters to have precognition that we've seen in a long time. It's a story telling device that I wouldn't want to dispose of too readily. Hand it out to too many people and it loses its ambiguity and uniqueness. On the other hand it can be a severe writing clutch.
While I do find her portrayal frustratingly one dimensional at times I think that'll take a back seat now that we have more experienced hands handling character development.
She's very mechanically different from vivien so they gain little by killing her off. Imho killing off Kiora and pushing Nissa to UG would open character growth opportunities and clean up the slate a bit. Gaining a color and the associated philosophies is a great way to show character growth. Kiora was such a cool concept and so poorly handled on cards and in story imho that I'd rather they just scrap it atogether. I think with her having the bident that is probably wishful thinking though, because aside from elspeth she is another hook to return to theros.

They handled Nissa's precognition very well in the Amonkhet story, and it was what eventually led her to leave the Gatewatch (and she was proven right, Lily did turn on them).

I do agree that it was handled very well. It seeded enough of what we didn't know and was concise and clear enough to give everyone a general direction without really spoiling much of anything.
If they can pull off this level of futuresight on a more regular basis, I'd be all for it.
Crazy idea I just had: Bolas's plans get accidentally derailed by Fblthp being in the wrong place at the right time, Fblthp absorbs a spark and becomes lost in the planes. The little guy then shows up in the art of cards from all kind of weird places.

ok heres my take on who lives and who dies might do a bonus and mark which ones might take a oath maro did confirm more oath cards
i will bold the ones who i think in my opinion will make a oath
i will start immediately with all of the new characters that are introduce in war of the spark will live
oh and i think teyo will make a oath i will explain why
survivors
Jace (no way hes dying)
Chandra (already confirmed)
Tibalt (already confirmed)
ajani (already confirmed)
liliana (i think the trailer is a booby trap that she will die i think she will be saved somehow from bolas contract oh bonus prediction i think they didn't show liliana's triumph) non promo yet because it revels this)
Nissa (simple logic oath of nissa mana fixes for planeswalker spells no way they are throwing away the oppurnity to reprint it since she quit on dominaria besides i did speculate she will come back around eventually)
Kaya (Kaya's Ghostform confirmed shes anti bolas in this (learns the truth about him basicly) she might take a oath or not but i think yes just top make a orzhov oath card)
Saheeli
hautli (still too new)
Ob Nixilis (not only that it mentions karn and him work together in war of the spark believe it or not)
karn (99.9% sure he will survive im still think the phyrexians are next for the villians)
Angrath (he will come to his senses)
Teferi
Tamiyo
Sorin
Nahiri
Sarkhan
Jiang Yanggu (by the way just for fun maybe take a oath if nissa still refuses to come back)
kiora
50/50
Bolas (either he dies or retreats to heals and replans another day one will happen 100% hes gonna lose in this because if he did win it would end the mtg story for good but i hate to say it but i think death is more likely)
Vivien (it could go either way for her but if nissa wont budge on rejoining i think she will)
Samut (im sure shes gonna live maybe she will make a oath but im not sure)
Dovin (i think he may not make it bolas is tricking all of the walkers thats working for him obviously since he wants all the sparks tezzert included i think when doving fails again a eternal appears and takes his sprak)
ral (hard to tell if he makes it or not i know niv mizzet comes back/resurrects oh next bonus prediction based on the card i think he becomes the new guildpact survives niv or jace bannishs him or just dead)
ashinok (either they want to revel more lore on this walker i just leave it be)
Ugin (this is 100% a coin flip for him theres no way they are not puting another fight between him and bolas i think he survives and wins this time because i think him or liliana or gideon will deal the knock out punch to bolas)
Vraska (really depends if they want her and jace to start dating or not hard to tell if she will make a oath after her mind is back)
narset (hard to tell to be honest)
Arlin (same deal hard to tell if they would keep going with this character or not she might stay and join selesyna guild though)
think whos dying
Dack Fayden (the war of the spark trailer confirmed he didn't make it which is why he didn't get a card)
Gideon (this is probably the most likely of the bunch not much story left for him and this is also why i think teyo will make a oath to take gideons place bonus prediction do the same scenario as hercules disney movie he rises as a god on theros and not in the underworld like elspeth the reason is i think he will sacrfice himself to save liliana from the contract and become a true hero or whatever you know what i mean i think)
jaya (same thing not much story left and shes getting old)
Domri (its not looking good for him hes in just for riot and may lose his life because of that)
a question, just out of curiosity, how do we know the confirmed survivors?

Dramatic deaths will likely include Jaya, Vraska, and Liliana.
The villain planeswalkers all escape with their lives but also mild humiliation.
Ugin and Liliana's deaths will probably be reversed in later blocks.

If they can pull off this level of futuresight on a more regular basis, I'd be all for it.

i will bold the ones who i think in my opinion will make a oath
i will start immediately with all of the new characters that are introduce in war of the spark will live
oh and i think teyo will make a oath i will explain why
