id like to see the Partner mechanic explored a bit further. While i loved Battlebond, I wasn't quite as impressed with the partner commanders from set as they could only be partner to one other specific commander leading to very linear deck building. it think mono colored Partner Commanders with subtle abilities would be cool.
Example maybe a mono blue deck, one partner has whenever an opponent cast a spell put a charge counter on this creature tap this creature remove all charge counters from it add one colorless mana to your mana pool for each counter removed this way, The other partner has BB tap: draw cards equal to the amount of mana in your mana pool then empty your mana pool you may untap two islands.
now these two commanders have abilities that directly synergize with one another, however they could both be effective as commanders in other partner decks.
if you wanted to go the multicolor deck route you could have a mono white commander who simply says whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control. Creatures you control gain vigilance until the end of the turn. and a mono green commander who says tap: creatures you control may block an additional creature this turn.
Again both creatures are created to have a particular synergy between one another, but could also be effective partners to other commanders. I think eight to ten new versatile monocolored partners would be a magnificent approach to this years commander set.
I would very much like to see another set of Partner Commanders, as a lot of the ones from the last batch fell very flat in my opinion. And with only one option for the Allied pairs, there's not a ton of viable combinations. Another batch of Partners would help to expand the pool of options greatly, which would be a net positive.
I think the first batch were popular enough, and it's been long enough, that there's a solid chance they include some partners in this year's offering.

Id like more than to simply see them offered id like them to be the focus of the set lol. Maybe a card that says if you have a partner commander on the Battle field ans a partner commander in the command zone, you may exchange them
The thing about the new cards in Commander products is that they have to theoretically be playable outside of the precon.
Mechanical parasitism would be bad in these decks.
Which is why i say very subtle abilities, nothing too specific to, or reliant on the other commander in the precon, but still enough synergy to have a precon focused on its particular pair of commanders.
I like sidekick (partner for anyone) in custom cards, but in a real-world context there are so many legendary creatures that it would be impossible to balance; I'm sure the "with partner" rider was once not on the original partner designs but was soon added due to balance concerns.
I'm all for more partner legends. They were my favorite thing about C16 incidentally, not only because of the deckbuilding options but also the fact I actually guessed something very close to Partner before the mechanic was revealed. Will and Rowan Kenrith have effectively demonstrated that Partner on planeswalkers is doable, though since Battlebond was just last summer it's possible Wizards is assessing the popularity of partner planeswalkers before comitting to a more flexible version.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I'm not an EDH player, but I love Commander cards, since they are generally a lot more adventurous in their design than standard legal cards. A lot of the commander partners (and really none of the Battlebond partners) are cards I really want for my cube (Like Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa and Ravos, Soultender). I think Sidekick would be fine, but the designs would have to be super conservative. Maybe they would have to share color identity with the main commander. I'd definitely be happy to see more partner cards, especially in mono-color. Edit: one or two colorless partners seems like solid design too. Add a commander, but not a color.
Partner is great for me, as it doesn't get in the way of being a playable card elsewhere. Abilities like Lieutenant and cards like Opal Palace on the other hand are unexciting to someone like me.
From the design of partner, it seems like an ability they ought to come back to at some point.
I'd be happy with either parter or parter with returning. I feel like both have space to still play in, only issues is I see is making balancing out all the different parter combos.

If they go back to a five deck cycle, then it would be easier to see as a likelihood. If they did, I'd imagine they'd have the allied pairs get 2 partners and each enemy pair would only get one to invert the cycle from C16.
I think it'd be neat if the uncommons this time were legendaries with Triad, a new tweak on Partner that lets you have three commanders. Five of the Triad legends would be monocolor, the sixth would be colorless.

colorless commander set sounds cool and is different. One for creatures one for artifacts so on ect ect.
One con with colorless though
Is it even relativivly possible to dodge a artifact or eldrazi as the focus for that one? That’s probably the only hard reason to make a colorless pre-con
I'd prefer mono-colored Partners using the original mechanic, but we're likely to get multi-colored ones that have some new "Partner with..." restriction, like: Partner with [color] (You may have two commanders if both have partner and have [color] in their casting cost.)

Sidekick commanders maybe? But I am afraid it would affect Commander forever instead.
