I would really love to see a Sultai colored control deck featuring big flashy spells like Villainous Weath and stuff.
If we're mentioning Sultai control, why not Stax?

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
How about a technology theme? Obviously that entails a lot of artifacts, but each deck's technological theme can also be represented through nonartifact cards.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

Doubtful. I don't think that people would be happy if we got an artifact deck, *again*. Not to mention, Kaladesh/Mirrodin/New Phyrexia is the most advanced we are going to see techwise.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).

As I have mentioned in previous Commander speculation threads, I think it should be noted that we can usually pick out colors/themes for the upcoming decks based on Popular Legends that have not yet appeared on cards. Can we get a list going of characters that have not been represented in card form yet to maybe pin down some ideas?

Just a quick look through and I feel like Gix, Colfenor, and the 4th sister all seem like cool characters to bring back. (You can tell I am biased towards black)

We also have yet to see colorless, monocolor, or four color decks.
BR seems highly likely seeing as all the BR trios have already been done. On the other hand, they may deliberately exclude BR for that reason, to leave it open for a future cycle. They likely won't be doing CPWs this year, so that also counts planeswalkers like Sandruu, Kristina, Feroz, Leshrac, Tevesh Szat, and Taysir out.

Alright, neato. I am also wondering what deck archtypes we have yet to see. I don't think we have really had many "Spellslinger" decks, save for the Izzet one awhile back. Also we have yet to see a Mill deck if I recall correctly. Mill would be hard to pull off in Commander, but maybe if it was mill, then use your opponent's graveyards as a resource it could be an interesting archetype. I would love to see a "political" Mardu deck, that focuses more on rattlesnakes and punisher cards rather than, eh, friendly politics.
Additionally, I would like to see a colorless deck, but I feel like there is not enough room to really make one work, unless they want to do an Artifact theme, yet again, or an Eldrazi deck.
I think Naya or Boros is likely because of the peppermint statement from Maro.
And cinnamon could be leading to Rakdos. These are the color combinations that weren't done in the 4 Deck-Combination.
I would like to see a mix of old mechanics, like 2 decks have one experience counter legendary one of them having it as face card. The same for 'scale if cast often' from the commander zone like Marath, Will of the Wild, Eminence for 2 tribal, 2x2 Partner, maybe even one or two Planeswalker as commander. I would like if they reuse some of the old mechanics more often instead of making new specific commander effects.
A legendary commander for superfriend theme decks seems likely with all the new planeswalker released in WAR including red mabe Temur for contrast Atraxa, Praetors' Voice a little.
looking through original Commander set cards from past years there's so many all-upside designs - endless variations of "when you do the thing you wanna do anyway, draw a card!" and "vigilance, lifelink!" and big mana, big stats, no drawback cards in every colour that this time I'd like to see some riskier cards. at least one commander deck based around pushed-cost cards with disadvantages, like a 1RB commander that's a 6/5 First Striker but when you play it, target opponent gets to steal one of your lands, or some mean sorceries with the additional cost of "Put your commander in your library, two cards from the top."... black and red is the ideal reckless colour combination so maybe the theme could be Lorwyne Boggarts?

I think naya has foot I think creatures wanting to take damage might be a factor and also a way to make more dinosaurs for the fans also since dinosaurs fit that theme and they are a 3 on the beeble scale
I can see partner commanders being made from here on in products (sad serra didn’t get the can be your commander treatment)
And rakdos I think devils/demon subtheme might be a thing rakdos, the showstopper might be a hint for that
At best, I'd expect CPWs to be an every other year thing. Which raises the question of what other themes want CPWs. First time, the decks were monocolor, so they needed something flashy. The second time, the decks were all card type themed, so...planeswalkers that care about those card types, I guess? For a third set of CPWs, I imagine something like the planes theme. But yeah, this year likely won't have CPWs.
We might see Experience return, it'd be a great followup to WAR's Proliferate cards. In which case, what would be some good new Experience triggers?

2) Make 5 mono colored decks focused around needed reprints. Make a red deck with needed red reprints. Make a green with needed green reprints. Etc.
3) Why focus on a theme? Why not just have random decks for fun. Maybe another Planeswalker deck along with a tribal, mechanic based(infect/deathtouch), and something else?

2011: The first Commander. Featuring Wedge Legends!
2013: Commander returns as a yearly product. Featuring Shard legends and abilities that work from the command zone!
2014: Monocolor planeswalker commanders!
2015: Enemy-color legends that give you experience counters.
2016: Four color legends! Introducing legends with Partner, which lets you have two commanders if both have Partner!
2017: Commander is now a four-deck product, perfect color balance is no longer a requirement, and the four decks follow some kind of theme. And the first theme is...tribal! Also introducing Eminence, another ability that works from the command zone!
2018: Planeswalker commanders return. This time the theme is card types matter! Only, people apparently didn't like all four decks being tribal last year, so this year one of the four decks is off-theme. Say hello to Artifacts, Enchantments, Land, and...Top Card of Library Matters!

Sifa grent for R/B and Xenagos for G/R would be ideal, but I'm still fairly unsure if they would do another round of C walker decks so quickly.
Rona was born several millenia after Gix's death, the colors of her card has no bearing upon the colors of Gix.
We are extremely unlikely to get planeswalkers this year, as we just got four last year.
