Some of the Ravnica characters could be in Wars (3 May). Except Khallist Rhoka, if I remember correctly he died.
The other characters have to wait till modern horizon (14. June), core 2020 (12. July) or Commander 2019 (23. August) or maybe even some later Products.

making a version of yawgmoth that represents him later in his life is probably unwise, as he became a sprawling and godlike being. that version of yawgmoth would be better represented as an enchantment or something.
"Doctor" Yawgmoth, as I've said before, is more plausible to make as a card. But "Death Cloud" Yawgmoth at the end of the Dominarian Invasion was essentially a powerful "Black Mana Elemental", sorta, so that might be doable on a card as well.
I could see a Yawgmoth DFC being printed in MH. Starts as a WUB Human Artificer, becomes a monoblack Avatar or God. Although, it would be ideal if he could somehow be a WUBRG commander so the various multicolor Phyrexian legends can be included in his deck.
So if mixed tribal is the theme this year, what if there were Demon/Devil and Snake/Naga Partners?
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.

At the end of each players turn, return all permanents put into your graveyard this turn to the battlefield.
If the Father of Machines deals combat damage to a creature or planeswalker, exile that permanent.
Your opponents can't take control of the Lord of the Wastes.
If the Ineffable deals combat damage to a player, that player loses the game.
Anything less would be an insult to Phyrexians everywhere.

I think Snake/Naga is very likely in that case, probably by making good use of batching.

Yeah, but that doesn't actually capture the flavor of Yawgmoth.
Yawgmoth is literally unstoppable. It took a Deus Ex Author for the coalition to defeat him, and that is just poor writing. They made the Lord of the Wastes so horribly overpowered that not even old-school planeswalkers could do anything but die in his presence. He literally could not be defeated. The Father of Machines at the height of his power was the single most powerful entity in the multiverse. What I posted above was the toned down version. The non-toned down version would only have one line of text: "You win the game."

The one thing that seems somewhat consistent in the last two years of commander is two new characters and two existing ones at the helm. One great flavor win would be a new Mishra + Ashnod, or maybe Yawgmoth + Gix although that seems less likely. I don't feel like we'll see an old walker again though unfortunately, which rules out a bunch of folks (unless they make it into the 99). I think one of the decks will then have a sacrifice/graveyard theme, as that is the focus of a lot of these characters. I also think that Gerard is a likely candidate as we've seen a lot of the Weatherlight crew be reprinted and Maro has mentioned him a lot in my recent memory. Maybe as a Boros commander or mono-white in another deck. From newer sets there's some Ravnica and Innistrad characters that could show up (Feather and Gerard maybe?).
What I posted above was the toned down version. The non-toned down version would only have one line of text: "You win the game."
if wotc made cards that were meant to represent the lore 1:1 the game would be unplayable. making the game fun is more important than capturing the power levels of specific characters accurately. you can kill a blind seer with a lightning bolt.
I am convinced that Feather will make her debut in wars of the spark. I mean common, Zombies everywhere, the plane in major danger and she is still an Angel. Commander will more likely provide us with a W/B Deck for the 4th Sister (Innistrad). She doesn't fit in any other set. Presuming that the Core Set will not play in Innistrad past, which is unlikely and modern horizon will not contain her. She should be Mystic Rare to fit better with the other Sisters, that would make her the Face-card or alternative Commander.
Gerard actually deserves a new card. But I don't know if they will include him that fast. I think it was in the last quarter of last year, when MaRo had mentioned him.
I think Yawgmoth will most likely be in the modern horizon set. And yes his representation in the game shouldn't represent his power in lore. Look at other cards/characters. The most recently spoiled Serra should be more powerful than her card version. She was an old walker afterall. I think all the old Walker representations are under powered compared to the power they have in lore. Or he should be extrem over costed and really hard to cast.

Thus the toned down version. You can bet that WotC would get massive amounts of grief if they didn't portray him as immensely powerful. Also, you need to remember that although the Blind Seer was Urza in disguise, we didn't learn that until near the end of Invasion block, and even then Planeswalker Cards were not a thing, and although a lightning bolt would destroy the planeswalkers physical form, they'd still persist. Pre-mending walkers were notoriously hard to kill. Serra had to will herself to disperse after her body was killed to actually die, and Urza spent the entire Ice Age as a Popsicle.

First it’s a flip card and this is the other side and very hard condition to flip
I say he should end up with a ability that turns him into the cloud form as seen in last stand which would add hexproof to his current abilities but also add can’t attack players
By the way minor error you made his creature type would be spirit god not just god
Well, with the current number of Ninja plus the plausible number of new Ninja they could print (~9 new rares out of 17 new cards, and that's assuming all creatures), there would barely be enough to scratch by. Now, a UB deck themed around Rogues, Pirates, and Ninja? Yes, please!

Well, ninja's need evasive creatures to be effective, and could make good use when paired with shapeshifters, and they need a way to return to hand so you can use their Ninjutsu more than once. So it *is* possible, that said, I find a pure ninja theme deck unlikely, and your suggestion with Ninja's and Rogues (no Pirates, they're natural enemies after all) however, are much more likely. After all, rogues are often evasive, which works well with the Ninjutsu ability.
Well, supporting just two of the three would be easier. Rogues and Ninjas, then. Though if they do UB Rogues/Ninjas this year, BGU Nagas/Snakes will have to wait, and vice-versa.

That does not prevent an eventual (hopefully Bant colored) Serra Planeswalker card to show up sometime in the future with the line "can be used as your commander". It just means it is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
The issue with certain characters, specifically oldwalkers, when making cards for them, is that regardless of how they make them, one subset of players will be disappointed. For example, if they show up as a commander in a commander product, the modern and standard crowd will be sad. With Serra specifically, both the Commander and Standard crowd are sad because, a, commander players can't use her as a commander, and b, standard players can't use her in standard.

I mean she is dead. It will be really difficult to add her in a Standard Set. In addition to the fact that she will rotate out and be unavailable for the next 10? or more years.
They added all old/killed Characters as playable Commanders. Serra is the first legal (black border), old Planeswalker card without the line.
It is a little confusing to state that the set is for every magic fan but letting the extra line on her out because of aesthetics. The card would be still perfectly playable in modern without any restriction.
Now you have the same issue like with Maelstrom Angel. You have to inform your group (every group you like to play with) that you are actually playing an illegal commander. I don't know how a group will react. She can ulti the same turn she comes out (Even in White). Her ulti isn't that powerful and doesn't stack like others but it is an emblem.
I have no problem if the answer would have been 'maybe in the future.' or 'Yeah. Sure sometime, somewhere.'. The answer was the worse. Like he thinks that it is normal to play anything (without restriction) as commander because well is casual. Why has the format a banned list or rules. It is casual you can do what you want.
Saheeli Rai didn't stop Saheeli, the Gifted from being made. And Lord Windgrace is long dead as well. They can always do a Serra CPW down the line. For all we know one's coming this Commander and he simply didn't want to spoil her.

Angels, phyrexians... why should they be 5-colored? I can see a point for superfriends, even if we already have atraxa.
Not every tribe or concept must be showed in 5-color. It worked for dragons, yeah. It didn't work for warrior. I don't see anyone playing warrior tribal najeela, the blade-blossom, only goodstuff combo machines builds.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

Oh it’s not just windgrace that got a card despite being dead
Xantcha got a card
O-Kagachi got a card
Besides bolas New versions of the first elder dragons
There’s lots of character who are dead who gotten a card in supplemental and core products so being dead is not a a factor that prevents a card from existing by all means
