Nice... But she is missing that "Serra can be your Planeswalker" line that makes all the difference
Jokes aside, that Serra has a sweet spot in my collection waiting just for her and I'm still hoping in some angel centered commander deck.
Cool that Serra's getting a card, but I think fans will still want a Serra CPW. Well hey, Saheeli got one, so there's always a chance!
I could see them making a Bant colored Serra eventually, you know to cover her time outside of her realm, specifically during her marriage to Feroz.
Bonus points if she has "partner with" a Feroz planeswalker card. And they should both have some sort of synergistic ultimate ability. After all, together they took down Taysir who is individually more powerful than either of them.

I second that.
From the lore Feroz looks more like a mono-blue walker, tho, so I'm not sure where the green could come from. I don't think that pulling another Tamiyo, Field Researcher (shoehorning in 1 or 2 colors because of balance) would be a good idea.
The difference in those planeswalkers and Serra is that WotC took some time between printing them in the commander product and printing them in standard sets: 2 years between the two Nahiris and 4 years between the two Teferis. Closest ones were the two Ob Nixilis (only 1 year apart), but they were almost different characters.
I don't think we will see another Serra for some time (sadly), unless we are very lucky.
I don't expect them to repeat Planeswalker Commander directly... So sure. I can wait. We still can play Serra in a Superfriend deck like Estrid and flooding the boards with Serra Angel tokens

Serra outside of her realm was always depicted as someone who used both green, white, and blue mana. Indeed, the first set that referred to her as a planeswalker directly was Homelands, and there she was associated with those three colors. As for Feroz, he should either be UR because of him being an elementalist, or WUB, to go with the Wizards' School he founded. Either way it would make the pair of them four colored together.
Indeed, I was pretty sad that Serra wasn't Bant colored in her first iteration, but since people closely associate her with her realm and the angels, I understand why they did it.
I wonder if we'll be getting a "Serra's Wedding Ring" legendary artifact...
Still, there are plenty of named old-walkers to pick from should WotC decide to go that route again this year (which, let's be honest, is unlikely), I mean, how many people here remember Manatarqua, Geyadrone Dihada, or Worzel? How about Ravi, Terrent Amese, or Sandruu? And those aren't even the most obscure named ones. Heck, for some of them, we have little more than a name.
I still think that if they repeat a theme this year, then tribal will be it, but I think it more likely we'll get another theme, such as planes (two old, two "new", one of which we will visit in the near future).

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
Looking at the previous commander sets, especially the last two years (commander 2017 and 2018)here are the following facts chronologically (please forgive me if I don't correctly order the colours in the usual way):
Ravnica set (including angel and demon/devil tribal synergy), still waiting for Bolas/war of the spark set to launch
Modern horizons - Serra Angel card present + that other card that has a cool Phyrexian theme to it
Then probs commander 2019 release
After Ravnica we will have a new plane to go to - probably nordic/vikings themed
After that probably New Phyrexia
Prediction:
Looking at the past it seems we will have a 2mana symbol deck and at least 2 3 mana symbol decks with potentially a 4 or 5 mana symbol deck to complete the 4 decks. We already have had mardu, jund, grixis, bant and esper shards, Jeskai has not received much love in commander formats so I would wager that will be 1 of the decks. After that there could either be Temur or Abzan or potentially 4 or 5 mana decks. No idea what the two mana deck will be (other than not Selesnia or Izzet), hoping for RG Werewolves - one can always dream as it would be very heard to print a commander flip deck for new players who may not use sleeves, what gives me hope is that a nordic theme could easily included werewolves.
I would love this new set to be plane focused with a tribal sub-theme, and as the theme could really be anything, I'm happy to speculate on what I hope happens:
Angel Theme likely as we have had the new Serra and strong angel theme in ravnica. Maybe for the innistrad plane. Just as likely a demon/devil theme with rakdos looking sharp - so Orzhov or Rakdos, unless angels get WUBERG
Assuming the next plane will be viking themed I believe that minotaurs will not be included as a creature type as they are very theme specific (unless they are hairy minotaurs in scandanavia. That would be cool).
Phyrexian/Mirrodin theme is possible. BGU at a push BGUW?
Left field plane Green;red and a third colour unless angels get WUBERG
And then a non-plane theme following 2018 commander trend. - is this where Jeskai fits?
I'll be really happy if:
We get a new Sorin card/commander card
They make a viable werewolf commander
Garruk makes his way back
Serra is trash. People are hyped for trash.
That being said. Themes this time around I’ll bet are plane based.
I’ll eat my invention sol ring if we don’t have a new Phyrexian themed commander deck. Since it looks like that is the next major story point. What with Karn having a hard on to bring the cylex to Mirrodin to blow it to hell.

The famous ones that have not ben put on a card yet are the following

There’s several other famous phyrexians but never got referenced cards

It'd be great to have two shard-colored planeswalker partners to have another 4-colored deck between Serra and Feroz. It'd also be cool to have a 5C deck with 5 different Taysir's - one for each color, that when assembled wins you the game on upkeep or end of turn (like Biovisionary).
Slowly but surely we're getting the 9 titans printed. We had Freyalise, Lord Windgrace, and Urza (his head, at least). Maybe at trickle speed but we could probably get Commodore Guff, Daria, Bo Levar, Tevesh Szat, and Kristina, as well. If they do Taysir I still think it'd be epic to have each of his 5 monocolored versions as a seperate planeswalker card. And when you control all 5 you win the game.

Right. That’s all fine. I hope they make all them.
I said new Phyrexian though.
Ravnica set (including angel and demon/devil tribal synergy), still waiting for Bolas/war of the spark set to launch
Ravnica Set does literally nothing for angel tribal. There is Divine Visitation a card you want to play in a small token deck. The card basically forces you to play, I don't know, human tokens or Selesnya tokens? In an Angel deck you can transform your 4/4 flyer in 4/4 vigilance flyer for 5 Mana or insert a number of Token generators that aren't in theme with angels. Other than that enchantment there were some angel creatures but nothing angel specific, just creature with the angel type (like ~4, Aurelia, white rare, White mystic and Orzhov mystic).
The last tribal stuff for Angels was Lyra in Dominaria.
Modern horizons - Serra Angel card present + that other card that has a cool Phyrexian theme to it
The Serra card has no Angel focus. The +2 ability works best in spirit decks or decks that can go wide with small fliers. Her -3 is her only ability that has something to do with angels because well create an angel token. Her ult. is Worship that works with all creatures.
You seem convinced that it is Phyrexian? I don't know. I just read the other thread about the modern horizon set and there are multiple suggestions like Eldrazi or Gaea (some Dominaria God). I have to say that it looks very planty with the leaves and roots/branches.
I couldn't care less about modern horizon. While Maro said that the product is for every magic fan I didn't feel myself as target for this product. I will draft it maybe once and get single cards if there is something interesting for commander. I will get a Serra because I want her as a card for years now. I don't think that anything coming from this set is an identicator for the commander set.
White Vampires released in a standard Set (Ixalan).
Amonketh cat tribal (I think like 2 cards?) released in a standard Set (Amonkhet).
Wizards tribal stuff released in a standard set (Dominaria).
I think they want commander player to buy some standard sets. I am sure that WotC thinks that modern horizon don't need that push.
Serra is trash. People are hyped for trash.

i ama aware im just saying they would probably want to focus on phyrexia before the new phyrexia era since those guys are more powerful and popular lore wise
but really if phyrexia was a plane chosen as a deck it would be doing both eras in my opinon
of course serra isn't bant - she is one of the most heavily mono-white aligned characters ever. she created a plane that was entirely composed of white mana. stop letting your overly specific personal desires get in the way of what is logical.

If they do Taysir, he needs to be five colored. He didn't spark until he absorbed the fifth version of himself as far as I am aware. He was the first confirmed five color walker, and there were only two other planeswalkers who could equal or surpass him in power (here's a hint, one is an elder dragon, and the other is a villain who fought Phyrexia before joining them). It took Serra and Feroz together to take down Taysir, after he had been weakened in battle with Sandruu.
of course serra isn't bant - she is one of the most heavily mono-white aligned characters ever. she created a plane that was entirely composed of white mana. stop letting your overly specific personal desires get in the way of what is logical.
I strongly suggest you go back and look at Homelands, and then do it again and again until you get it. Serra was always Bant colored from the start, and she became Bant colored again when she left her collapsing realm. She only stuck with white mana in her realm because the other colors would have unbalanced it, which is what happened when black mana got introduced there via Urza and Xantcha.

I’m thinking if we get tribal again I think they will double dip tribes this time
Which means each commander will support two tribes and the other side commanders will separate each tribe
BR demons/devils BGW elves/saplorings WURBG humans/angels or spirits or both URW monks/birds (best I can think of for the didn’t see that coming catergory tribes)

druid or archer/elves
soldier/angels
shaman/elemental
Is it too much to ask for a cycle of mono-colored 1/1 creatures with no abilities other than it can partner with anything?
If you are asking for a card that reduces your deck size by one and allows you to add one additional color for absolutely no price... Yes, that's entirely too much to ask. Those cards would become absolutely ubiquitous in just about every playgroup. Like, I'd expect the cycle to collectively see play on similar levels to Sol Ring (at least among competitive players).

This. Cards that there is no reason to ever not use are bad design, especially when they smash the very rules of a format. If a card allowed you to circumvent color identity deckbuilding rules, it would have to come with a heavy, heavy drawback, but one probably won't ever be printed at all.
Question
“Who is the most requested character(s) to have their own card that has never had one”
Urza (I was right despite unstable they are still request him in black border)
Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar (from Dominaria, author of the Underworld Cookbook)
"Curse Guy" (from Commander (2017 Edition))
Fblthp (from Ravnica)
Feather (from Ravnica)
Gix (from original Phyrexia)
Hal and Alena (from Innistrad)
Khallist Rhoka (from Ravnica)
Massacre Girl (from Ravnica)
Pashalik Mons (from Dominaria)
Serra (from Dominaria)
Shadowblayde (from Kaladesh)
Unnamed white-black Angel sister (forth-sister)(from Innistrad)
Yawgmoth (from original Phyrexia)
But the part after that is where the “hmmm” factor comes in
A number of these characters, by the way, are currently in files of upcoming products.
We could be seeing quite a few “finally (name) got a card”

Remember, one is a number. So even if none of them other than Serra got a card, MaRo would still be correct in his statement.
That said, I expect at least three (including Serra) to get a card in Modern Horizons, and I'd be disappointed if we didn't. But know that he said upcoming "PRODUCTS", so it is possible that some of them are in War of the Spark, Commander2019, Core20, and possibly the fall standard set (although the last one is unlikely.)
But if they print Yawgmoth, and don't make him a black artifact creature with the god subtype, a lot of Phyrexians are going to be sad.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

I am sure that WotC thinks that modern horizon don't need that push.
i ama aware im just saying they would probably want to focus on phyrexia before the new phyrexia era since those guys are more powerful and popular lore wise
but really if phyrexia was a plane chosen as a deck it would be doing both eras in my opinon

Which means each commander will support two tribes and the other side commanders will separate each tribe
BR demons/devils
BGW elves/saplorings
WURBG humans/angels or spirits or both
URW monks/birds (best I can think of for the didn’t see that coming catergory tribes)
Or maybe mixing a race with a class like
cleric/demon
druid or archer/elves
soldier/angels
shaman/elemental
The face card could have race and class type.
If you are asking for a card that reduces your deck size by one and allows you to add one additional color for absolutely no price... Yes, that's entirely too much to ask. Those cards would become absolutely ubiquitous in just about every playgroup. Like, I'd expect the cycle to collectively see play on similar levels to Sol Ring (at least among competitive players).
maybe one of the worst ideas i've ever read.

Question
“Who is the most requested character(s) to have their own card that has never had one”
Urza (I was right despite unstable they are still request him in black border)
Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar (from Dominaria, author of the Underworld Cookbook)
"Curse Guy" (from Commander (2017 Edition))
Fblthp (from Ravnica)
Feather (from Ravnica)
Gix (from original Phyrexia)
Hal and Alena (from Innistrad)
Khallist Rhoka (from Ravnica)
Massacre Girl (from Ravnica)
Pashalik Mons (from Dominaria)
Serra (from Dominaria)
Shadowblayde (from Kaladesh)
Unnamed white-black Angel sister (forth-sister)(from Innistrad)
Yawgmoth (from original Phyrexia)
But the part after that is where the “hmmm” factor comes in
We could be seeing quite a few “finally (name) got a card”
Remember, one is a number. So even if none of them other than Serra got a card, MaRo would still be correct in his statement.
That said, I expect at least three (including Serra) to get a card in Modern Horizons, and I'd be disappointed if we didn't. But know that he said upcoming "PRODUCTS", so it is possible that some of them are in War of the Spark, Commander2019, Core20, and possibly the fall standard set (although the last one is unlikely.)
But if they print Yawgmoth, and don't make him a black artifact creature with the god subtype, a lot of Phyrexians are going to be sad.
