I feel like eventually we are going to take another trip to a snow set like Coldsnap and Ice Age. It would be a welcome change up from what we have been seeing. But what do you guys think? What would you like to see in a new snow set? More Kjeldoran cards? A new Marton(the now zombie-fied one). Lovisa or some ancestor of her? Personally I would love full art snow lands.

I had to fight the urge to insert a game of thrones image because I don't want the RM mods to get mad at me lol.
That said, it would be really cool to do another snow themed set. Coldsnap was technically an extension of Ice Age block rather than a return from what I recall. I don't know really anything story about Ice Age and if there would be any challenges in returning but its a mechanic thats super cool and realistically the price of snow lands is getting kind of high especially when you take into consideration that they are modern playable and Skred plays and needs several of those cards.
I guess I could see it. Overall I enjoyed a lot of the cards from the snow sets and I enjoyed the snow lands matters concept but I guess I am not sure if they really want to keep going with / pushing that concept or not.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
That would make me do cartwheels if that was the case. Ice Age block is among one of my absolute favourite periods in Magic and when Coldsnap was released it sealed the deal.
They could do so much with snow and such that I think it's in due time that it will happen. I know Ravnica Allegiance is supposed to have a winter-esque theme due to its release in the middle of the northern hemisphere winter. So maybe we'll have a sub snow theme with that.

I think it might be hard to justify a full snow-themed expansion at this juncture, but something tells me we'll get a snow supplemental set at some point soon.
I'd also personally love to see some new barbarians and possibly some new arts and creatures inspired by norse mythology (not sure how ell that'd fit into the story of that plane though)

May I ask why you think we will get a snow supplemental? and what do you think that product might look like?

Because there's obvious demand for more, including specifically for enemy colored snow dual lands. However, that demand is quite niche and comes from very invested, hardcore Magic players, a similar group of people who want more Kamigawa. WotC figures these people will each buy a lot of the niche product targeted towards them, but not a lot of overall people will buy it, meaning a full expansion with a large print run is not feasible. Instead something on the order of Unstable is what they'd want to do.
They've already done Egyptian gods and Greek gods, Norse ones would be cool. I'm not sure what their mechanic would be, though.
In real life the Norse Gods were not immortal; they would live and stay young for as long as Iðunn gave them her apples, but in one instance when she was gone they were in danger of aging and dying. This seems to me like it would be represented by always being creatures - the Aesir and Vanir were always ready for a fight - and being indestructible, because no ordinary foe could kill them, but getting a -1/-1 counter at the beginning of your upkeep unless you paid a cost.
I would like either a set themed around the four seasons, or to get four sets each themed around a season. In the four seasons set, the main winter mechanic could be snow, while in a winter set it could be one of the major mechanics, present in all five colors but likely more focused in GWU.
To accompany snow's return, I wouldn't mind a cycle of enemy-color snow duals, though a new ally cycle would be nice too. I would also like to see some colorless spells that cost snow mana, and to expand the snow supertype to instants and sorceries.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I feel like snow overlaps too much with colorless mana now for design space, except that there's more of a developmental failsafe in that case since wastes can't make colored mana as well. They'd have to make sure to print enough hate cards for snow permanents to counteract the upsides of using them.
We are getting a Viking/Norse set sometime in the future. It is going to contain three things if they don't want to make the Scandinavian's angry: Snow, at least one Squirrel, and Vikings.
Anything less, and we will be very unhappy.

...do we know that for sure though?
I mean we have loads of evidence supporting the fact that the first set er block will be autumn on Ravnica but I haven’t heard anything about a block featuring Ravnica’s winter.
It would make sense yet I’m unaware of Wizards saying as much.

If you listened to the original reveal, the art is reflected on the season that each set is being released. GRN is in autumn, so we'll get autumnal colours. Ravnica Allegiance is releasing in winter, so we'll have a winter-esque theme. I'm not sure about the third Ravnica set releasing in the Spring. I'd like to think it's going to follow those same parametres at least for these three sets if nothing else. Who wou;ldn't want to see Liliana or Vraska with a flower in their hair under the warm Ravnican spring sun? (Provided they survive the Bolas-Gatewatch fight that is lol).
I don't have the video to prove but I do recall the teams talking about that.

It would be an excuse to have a setting for the enemy-colored ETB tapped uncommon snow duals. That's a cycle waiting to finish up.
Think it would be fun to bring in some tribes:
Red - Yeti
Green - Auroch, Elephant (Mastodon)
Black - Skeleton, Specter or Shade
White - Wolf, Cat (Saber Tooth's)
Blue - Elemental, wizard
(U/B) is :symbu: or :symub: and the same is true for the other 9 hybrid symbols with their two colors in for the last 2 leters of the code. ((2/B) and co are :sym2b:)
