Could it be GRN will be about internal conflict inside the guilds before Bolas attack? We already know some on the guilds have in-fighting going on:
Golgari Vraska vs Jarad
Orzhov Teysa vs the ghost council
Izzet Niv-mizzet vs Ral Zarek (He's also an agent of Bolas right?)
and if she comes back in the sunlight Feather vs Aurelia for the Boros
i'm sure i forgot some infighting in other guilds and for guilds without any.
I expect the guilds to join either Bolas or the Gatewatch in the third set, so the infighting could be a prelude to that. It is already pretty clear in Izzet with Ral being with Bolas and Niv likely against him (he wouldn't let anyone take his place as the biggest and baddest dragon on the plane). Golgari will clearly be Bolas-side, Vraska will betray him only in the final showdown. Similar split is expectable in the rest, Bolas would be dumb not to have agents in all the guilds, either in current leadersip or as the usurpers.
Prediction: Teysa hires Kaya to kill the ghost council.
How Tesysa should even know that Kaya exist? I mean unless Kaya is willingly going on Ravnica on her own will, but why in that case?
There could be any number of reasons for Kaya to visit Ravnica. It is a multiversal Nexus (much like Dominaria is/was), so a planeswalker going there would not be unusual. There are basically only three nonplaneswalkers on Ravnica that logically know about planeswalkers, and that is because they used to pal around with Azor.

I am just hoping this gives the Gatewatch their final and third act... as a lot of us are tired of them and had a breath of fresh air w/ Ixalan and Dominaria. Just think this waaayyyy over-arching battle of Planeswalking Goody Two-Shoes vs. Bolas has been going on for almost a decade now. Kinda reminds me of 1997 - 2003 (Weatherlight to Scourge) when it was Gerrard and the Weatherlight vs. the Phyrexians and/or Volrath in the Tempest Saga. Then came the era of stand-alon'e sets w/ Planes. Then Return to Ravnica happened w/ the "NWO" and we began to revisit older planes and bear witness to Bolas becoming the new Volrath.
Hopefully we get another break... Who wants to visit Lorwyn or Alara again?

WotC will not be getting rid of the Gatewatch as they are pretty popular, particularly among new players. And the addition of Teferi has pleased a lot of old players as well. Like with most "hero" teams, the rooster will change over time, but the Gatewatch as a whole will remain. Also, Bolas is closer to Yawgmoth than Volrath. Volrath was a low-tier midboss. Tezz or Ral are closer to Volrath, except none of them have abandoned their role to pursue a personal vendetta.
I mean the Chandra Comic and the Art Book are suggesting major changes but I doubt it.
I mean sure I will be right there if Bolas snaps his fingers and kills half the Gatewatch and Allies since about half of them are killable in theory.
Bolas will likely lose, but he will also kill a lot of heroes in the process. However, the Gatewatch has a secret weapon to use against him (Vraska). Not to mention, there is no friggin' way that several of the guild leaders do not know that Bolas is coming. Niv-Mizzet is a hyper intelligent *telepathic* dragon that is nearly as old as Bolas himself, who used to pal around with at least one planeswalker. Rakdos himself has interacted with at least one planeswalker. And you can bet that not only does Lavinia know that Jace is a planeswalker, she has reported it to Isperia, who, as the current head of Azorius, probably knows about planeswalkers as well. Maat'Selesnya may be a planeswalker herself (we don't actually know), and if she is, then the current head of Selesnya knows about the planeswalkers as well. There is no reason that the Orzhov leadership doesn't know about planeswalkers either, mostly because the Obzedat has been around for a very long time. That's five out of ten guilds that are likely to not only know about planeswalkers but have plans to deal with them if necessary.
It is also quite likely that the Dimir knows on account of what they are, and the Boros have likely been told by the Azorius. The Golgari are currently run by a planeswalker, although one associated with Bolas, but once her memory is restored, she'll likely turn on him.
Basically, the only guilds one can reasonably argue for not knowing about planeswalkers already are the Simic and the Gruul, and even then we cannot be sure.
Remember, the guilds are ancient, over 10,000 years old, and several of them have leaders that used to pal around with planeswalkers. Bolas will have one hell of a fight on his hands when he invades, and he knows this. I fully expect multiple casualties on both sides, both among the planeswalkers and the non-planeswalkers.

Does she have the ability to summon planeswalkers? If so that'd be an awesome part of the plot!

I doubt Marchesa knows about planeswalkers, yet she hired Kaya to assassinate Brago.
