So as they have said: Avacyn is dead. But here is what I have to say: Sorin is still alive and Thalia is holding Avacyns spear, so if Sorin is still alive, will Avacyn be remade? Sorin was the first one to make Avacyn and basically has the blueprints on how to make her. Threats like Nahiri and Emrakul would supposedly have not gotten through if Avacyn was around, but Avacyn got corrupted and later got destroyed and because of that Emrakul came through. Emrakul is locked in the Silver Moon, but she might come out over the course of maybe 10,000 years. 10,000 years may not seem like much, but to Innistrad, it is a short time. Nahiri may be gone, but what if Bolas were to come through? Shouldn't Sorin investigate the cause for Avacyn's corruption and remake her in a way to where she is almost Hexproof? Thalia has her spear, so it still contains what happened to Avacyn, almost like a time keeper and might even tell what happened...if that was possible. I highly doubt that, but it could be a possibility. Sorin is still alive isn't he? So why not make the same Avacyn, but more Hexproof (and make her smile more!) I guess they could make a 5th Avacyn, except they have made so many Avacyn cards to where the 6th one might not be worth as much money. But it might be a good idea, just it might not get as much approval.
Even with her spear? I would have thought that that would have done it, but I guess not. But what would he do if he were to make another version of her that is similar, but is completely different? But i got what you were saying though, plus Gisela and Bruna are pretty much dead. The only reason that they would eb dead would be because Emrakul got locked up in the moon and that was what was supposedly keeping Brisela alive or something like that, but now that Emrakul is gone, that does not mean Brisela diffuses, but more or less starts to die. So the only one left that is an Archangel is Sigarda. That is a shame. I bet when Sorin finds Sigarda, he would be quite happy to know she was still sane.
If anything, I expect Sigarda to inherit the Moonsilver Spear as the one remaining Angel allied with humanity. Or Thalia might undergo ascension to become a new guardian Angel.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Do we know if Avaycn actually killed the WB Angel?
The Fourth Sister's fate is completely unknown.
But really I expect Sigarda (Thalia) vs Olivia (vs maybe Kord). It be a good set for a Tribal War between Humans, Vampires and Werewolves.
With Werewolves as the wild card faction seeing as they're part-time Human, part-time monster? I'd really like this, it'd be a fresh version of tribal.
I'm kind of a negative nelly and I hope that they all horribly die without Avacyn. I venomously hate Sigarda, Thalia, and the idea of them "replacing" Avacyn. I used to hold hope that Avacyn would come back, but sadly I don't think Wizards will when they have their two plucky "bastions" for humanity.

Honestly, if SIgarda were to inherit the spear, it would not probably be the same as Avacyn holding the spear, I get it. Thalia may be a Guardian of Thraben, but even then she was only the leader of the Order of Saint Traft, she could not possibly ascend to angelic rank unless she would to die and resurrect as one. I looked up one article saying that Avacyn banished the other Fourth Sister somewhere, but no one knows where she went to. Since Avacyn was the one who banished her, then now since she is dead, the idea of the Fourth Sister coming back may be of an interesting option. Though I heard from a friend that Wizards will stop supposedly producing sets after Ravnica. I would only think that would be possible only due to the fact that they have basically re-visited every set at least twice. They might just recycle cards afterwards, might even see an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn in a pack one day. I would only imagine if they were to go to the world where the Fourth Sister was banished and take up a set there, but I highly doubt they will take up that request. Sorry, but Wizards is supposedly running out of ideas.
Killing Avacyn was a grave mistake. It's obvious they did it to maintain Innistrad as a horror world, with market research favoring Innistrad to AVR, despite the fact I actually loved the contrast, and the idea of Innistrad's horrors existing in spite of and in secret from the Church of Avacyn. Now that tension is obliterated. Innistrad is pre-packaged now as horror world for the sake of it. Considering Avacyn was created with pre-mending PW powers, she's unlikely to ever return. Her design was so elaborate, she was able to single-handedly hold off Emrakul herself from entering the plane of Innistrad as the lone and final ward. Nahiri had to work endlessly just to see to it that Emarkul's influence could corrupt Avacyn and the angels in order to eliminate that barrier.
Worse yet, Sorin pawned in Avacyn knowing he couldn't re-create her, just for an army in order to get even with Nahiri after having been the one to wrong her all along. So yeah. screw Sorin. Reminds me of King Agamemnon. I hope another character, or group of characters, finds a way to revive Avacyn. Lessons from the Church of Serra, or Gideon studying Devotion on Theros, or something. But Sorin doesn't even deserve to re-create Avacyn at this point.

I think they really messed up on Sorin too. I found it unique that a vampire betrayed his own kind to save everyone on the plane and they tossed it all away for some contrived revenge story. I also find that he kills her because she's too crazy very suspect and mostly just a melodramatic way to get from point A to point B. In the same story he created her with multiplanner threats in mind and when there are signs that such a threat is outside his door and he's like well I guess I'll kill you and go after Nahiri cuz that makes sense. I mean she was even like I am crazy and indistructible maybe you should lock me up he's like no I'll just unmake you. I mean she was crazy and needed to be stopped but he did realize that he would jeapordize the plane even further by destroying her.

Maybe the Fourth Sister cast a curse that, upon Avacyn's demise, she would return? After all, when the Helvault was opened in the original Innistrad block, we didn't know then that Nahiri had also been trapped inside, and released.
And when the Fourth Sister returns, she first seeks out her sisters, and learns from Sigarda what has transpired. The Fourth Sister finds Sorin, possibly still trapped in stone if Ugin hasn't found him and freed him by then, and learns from him that Nahiri is the one who built the Cryptoliths which lead to the corruption of Avacyn, Bruna, Gisela, and virtually every Angel on Innistrad besides Sigarda. When she inquires as to where Nahiri might be, Sorin tells her of planeswalkers, so the Fourth Sister seeks to acquire a spark of her own that she may find Nahiri and punish her for what she did to Innistrad and FS's sisters. She would probably try to take Sorin's seeing as he's the one who created Avacyn in the first place, and thus played a role in FS's initial demise. Sorin, who wants payback against Nahiri as well, might offer to lure Nahiri back to Innistrad so they both might take vengeance upon her.

There is only one power on Innistrad powerful enough to remake Avacyn, and I doubt she is interested in recreating the archangel, or anything else for that matter as she currently rests in her self-imposed imprisonment in Innistrad's moon.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
Crazy idea, but what if the Lunarch Council end up creating their own version of Avacyn based on how they remembered her before Sorinunmade her? And then the Fourth Sister returns thanks to a little curse she placed on Avacyn before her demise, resulting in a new three-way Angel war between Sigarda, Lunarch Avacyn, and Fourth Sister. Sigarda wants to protect the Humans, Avacyn wants to destroy them, and Fourth Sister wants to rule them. All that's missing is a WU Angel to round out the cast, but maybe that's where Thaliaand/orSaint Traft come in, though they would be allied with Sigarda. Maybe Sigarda becomes GWU to carry on the duties of her fallen sister Bruna? That would make Sigarda the guardian of both the living and the dead. Then the insane Avacyn, Lunarch Angel can be RW and the dark Fourth Sister is obviously WB.
Of course, since the Lunarch Council has been infiltrated by Skirsdagcultists, Avacyn, Lunarch Angel could be RWB, to set her up as the main enemy to Sigarda. Fourth Sister could appear in either Commander or in a set taking place in the past.

The Avacyn created by the Lunarch wouldn't be the same Avacyn, just an imitation based on the cryptolith-crazed Angel around which they were founded. Sincere or not, the Lunarch Council is certifiably insane, so it makes sense an Angel they seek to "recreate" is just as mad and psychotic. And if the Skirsdag play a role in creating the new Avacyn, and all signs point to that being very likely, then it's possible their evil corrupts New Avacyn further.

Even if Sorin himself re-created Avacyn, it wouldn't be the same (unless they retcon that when he unmade her, all of her memories and personality went (back?) to Sorin himself, so he has the basis for re-creating her personality and history) anyway.
Sorin initially created Avacyn because the creation of the Vampires by Edgar imbalanced the plane (tilting it towards darkness). We don't know what really happened to the 4th Angel Sister, but I wouldn't call it a far cry that the creation of Avacyn didn't quite balance the it still and Avacyn disposed of the 4th sister as a result of trying to balance the plane.
If the 4 original Angels were "natural" (in the same sense that when Liliana slew Griselbrand, it was noted the energies he manifested from will eventually return as a similarly strong demon), it's possible that with Avacyn gone, she could naturally reform back, but with the same clause of Neo-Avacyn/Neo-Griselbrand, that it is essentially a new being in all aspects but name (and perhaps power).
I'll be blunt, they didn't really give Avacyn much of a personality before and during the brief time they did before she was unmade, it was pretty much a robot on a spree of regrets, which to be blunt, made me feel like she was an inferior Memnarch in every way - at least Memnarch never stopped to regret his madness (he was way too mad to recognize/care about it)... and he was smart enough to figure out a spark was the best solution to his problem (stops the oil on him and allows him access to Karn, although I'd suppose he'll be leaking oil all over like his creator did if he really succeeded though). Avacyn was pretty much a killing machine without a long-term purpose (and then proceeding to regret it when she does realize it, but still didn't think of long-term solutions).
Oh, and not only was Memnarch turned back into the Mirari, said artifact was completely treated as worthless by Karn and the Phyrexians. I'll honestly feel so much insult for Memnarch if Avacyn came back, to be honest.
