I've wondered if Emrakul is a little more aware than the other two titans and what it would mean to be a little vexed about being penned up for a while. Maybe this leads her to select planes associated with her captors as her next snacks - this would lead towards Innistrad and then wherever Ugin is from...
Most likely on innistrad. Based on the new card call the gatewatch both ulamog (already confirmed) and kozilek (from the artwork in the card) are on zendikar. Meaning Emrakul is the one casting the shadow over innistrad. Unless the forces in zendikar fail and get defeated and both the eldrazi bolt for innistrad
Stellar logic. All decks that will ever be tier 1 or 2 have already been discovered. Might as well lock up the forum here and stop brewing everyone. Format solved.
I strongly doubt he is on either zendikar or innistrad. He'll show up 12 to 30 months from now.
If I had to pick a 'return' plane, it'd be dominaria. it's unlikely to be somewhere new - showing off a new plane as emrakul eats it (a) is a waste of a plane, and (b) doesn't give the potential for actually caring about the plane an existing one does.
(s)he is not in the OGW set, and that is certain, because of the name/number crunch (eldrazi mimic is 2 and endbringer is 3), unless emrakul is not being called by it's name, wich is almost impossible given it's a character in magic story.... My hint is Innistrad! because of the distorted cross in the teaser. Actually, can Emrakul distort thing too?
Yes - but the only hint that the folk of Innistrad have of his presence on their plane are the corrupted angels. Emrakul, being known as Aeons Torn, is hiding within the aeons of Innistrad. Specifically - the aeon in which Sorin first established the balance with Avacyn and the angels. So yes, Emrakul is there, casting a shadow across the aeons of Innistrad. The only hint the mortals have are the angels and demons twisted by the Eldrazi's presence within Innistrad's aeons.
Honestly, if Emrakul is on Innistrad, or even in any block for the next two years, that has to be one of the top ten worst things EVER in Magic history. It's a terrible concept all the way around. Mechanically, we jump from one set that cares about giant colorless fatties fighting the colored small guys to a set about....giant colorless fatties fighting the colored small guys. Storywise, we get the same dumb story about fighting against a swarm of alien monstrosities twice in a row. It will be boring, it will feel rehashed, and worst of all, it will detract from what might have been a really cool Innistrad story. It's already cool enough to imagine the entire plane realizing Avacyn's existence is only to farm the human population for vampire sustenance. It's cool enough to have the angel become corrupted because the humans have become too powerful, causing a loophole in Sorin's magic that makes them attack what they once protected. There's no reason to turn it into BUT THEN EMRAKUL SHOWED UP AND IT WAS ALL HER WARPING THE ANGELS AIN'T THAT DANDY!
Everyone always seems to want the Eldrazi to show up in every block, but really, you don't ACTUALLY want them to keep showing up. Look at how negative the community has reacted to the swarm of low-costed Eldrazi, making them boring and straying from what they initially were. You can't make them keep showing up, because that is not what Cthulu mythoids are about. They are about beings beyond comprehension, something so abnormal and terrifying that they drive men and beast to madness. That's why they worked initially in ROE; they were gigantic, rare, and destructive. Now in BFZ block, we see them much more commonly. That was necessary for design perspectives, but the Eldrazi did lose a bit of their story when they became an army. Granted, that's fine for a block. After all, the two titans and their high-ranking brood still create the atmosphere of the initial Eldrazi. However, if we have an entire year of the same Eldrazi with the same reduction in power, they will become boring. Mundane. Expected. Just like when Slivers became like Predator, the community will become disillusioned with the Eldrazi. Bring the Phyrexians to Innistrad if you really need to tie a backwater plane to a greater evil. Don't do it with something we just spent six months hearing about.
I thought Eldrazi decks were getting popular? FWIW, I didn't find the Eldrazi to be any of that the first time around - beyond comprehension, driving things to madness etc. I'm more a fan of having them out in the open, to which they get a "what the **** is that thing?" response from me. It works better than trying to do Lovecraft. I see them as more a chance for you to surrender your humanity. To forget all the painful things that come with being your own...being.
I still say the "Mindbreaker Demon" or whatever it translates into is a possible hint of Eldrazi presence on Innistrad. The fact that Emrakul is known to warp biology only strengthens the theory.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
However, if we have an entire year of the same Eldrazi with the same reduction in power, they will become boring.
Come on, is 1 year with 4 sets really any different than 1 year with 3? And if they did it right Eldrazi wouldn't even show up in the first set of Shadows over Innistrad, but the second. So really your comparing 1 year 3 sets, to 1 year 3 sets. Yeah what exactly is the problem here, I don't see over saturation...
My thinking based on the story on MTGs website is either Ob Nixilis or Bolas is the new threat to Innistrad with Ob Nixilis being the most likely since he wouldn't want to stick around after releasing Kozilek. I think Emrakul is still trapped on Zendikar just not risen yet. The next two blocks with this set will probably require all the walkers to join for one final fight and we aren't there yet.
Otherwise: maybe eldrazi blood is the new phyrexian oil, and Inistrad is eldrazified. But we can bet that it is Avacyn`s blood.
More on topic: I would like to have Inistrad pure, non-eldrazified. DFC has enough design space to fill a set without Emrakul, and dont forget that they WILL print new planeswalkers egniting on DFC. What better place to do that than on innistrad?

Interesting that you mentioned phyrexian oil. I think that's exactly what's going to be happening on Innistrad.

I think it could be Ob Nixilis as well. He is a demon after all and Innistrad is like a haven for demons. Plus, it'd be cool to see him fight an old walker like Sorin, or encounter the chain veil against Lili.
So since we are going back to Innistrad here is my theory. Avacyn is Nahiri... Why? Because both have the same qualities. Both are white aligned protectors, that bind unkillable entities to stone. It's even hinted that Ugin knows that Sorin has done something with her. And since the great spirit dragon is sending Jace and the gang back to innistrad it can only meanthat Sorin's little home defense system is backfiring horribly

Let me stop you right there. We *know* that Sorin does not know where Nahiri is. That in itself is proof that Avacyn isn't Nahiri. Was I the only one that paid attention when Sorin and Ugin spoke during Tarkir block?

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
I think that he will be on innastrad, but I hope he will be on another plane that people loved so we can bring back other planes, for example loryn, kamigawa or Domanaria. Some planes people loved have no reason to return to them, but Emrakul would be a great reason to return to a plane. Also Inastrad and eldrazi don't mix well in terms of flavor...
I think he will be on a later block for which design will start just after the standard rotation of this Zendikar block. Will it be a Return to Zendikar or something else depends on how well BfZ block has been received and what to expect also on what has been good and bad with the eldrazi plot. They sure need data on this set before forecasting more C spells or eldrazis...
I expect Emrakul to be featured on a plane in which he corrupts the livings (regular inhabitants of the plane) instead of spawning scions and eldrazis everywhere. I would love a return to Mercadia or such with the "rebels" being cards with colored and C costs like CG 3/2s and maybe mercenaries has pure C cards and the 'upside down mountain' actually be emrakul... (noticeably the Ramos plot could very well be turned into something that involves Eldrazis...)
Considering that we visited Mercadia while Emrakul was still trapped, then no, the upside down mountain of Mercadia can not, has not, and never will be Emrakul. Besides, the plane is infested with Phyrexians.

Emrakul vs the Phyrexians would not actually be such a bad story. It would put planeswalkers in a tough spot. If Emrakul were to go to a plane where all that is really left are Phyrexians, then planeswalkers tracking her down would have to make a tough decision. They have 3 options. They could help the Phyrexians defeat Emrakul. They could help Emrakul defeat the Phyrexian. Lastly they could sit back, enjoy the show and then try to defeat the victor. I personally hope that is the direction the story takes when we finally see Emrakul again. I don't believe we will see Emrakul on Innistrad. A feather turning blood red seems to be the corruption of an Angel. Sadly it wasn't a black/blue feather. If it were, it would likely mean the return of Storm Crow in a red version. Maybe a 2/1 flying for 1R

Still wouldn't be as broken as Storm Crow. I think the feather represents the corruption of part of three Hosts, perhaps even of Avacyn herself. Now wouldn't that be a plot twist.
In before reprint of Fallen Angel. I just hope the art doesn't such this time, the last art it got was...pretty terrible actually.

Nothing can be as broken as Storm Crow. I'm still shocked it didn't get the ban hammer over Splinter Twin. Personally I expect the same as you about the feather. It represents corruption in my opinion. I would not be shocked if we received an Angel Demon creature. I'm not up on the story of Innistrad the first time around, but Gisela, Blade of Goldnight dropping white, becoming a demon and gaining black would be cool for a corrupted angel. Heck, all 3 of the dual colored angels dropping white and gaining black to become Angle Demons could be cool.

Never knew of that card. Super sweet! It depicts exactly what I was imagining for an angel becoming a demon. If we get transform cards again, we might see angels flipping into demons. I know it is still baseless, but I have high hopes for SOI. I've pretty much lost all desire to create decks with BFZ in full swing.

What about Alara? We don't know what's happening there since the whole time-travel thing during Tarkir and the plane is separated in five different shards, there's lots of mana ready to be devoured for momma Emrakul.

Also according to MaRo, the initial plan for the block (when 3 sets per block was still a thing) was that the third set would be Emrakul centered:
http://markrosewater.tumblr.com/post/136556648348/if-battle-for-zendikar-was-ulamogs-set-and-oath
However, he said it happened to early in the block design, so the story wasn't fully developed.
http://markrosewater.tumblr.com/post/136565518608/did-switching-to-the-2-set-model-heavily-modify
This makes me think that they didn't push Emrakul too far away. If she's not on Innistrad she's probably on the block right after it.
Commander: WUBRG Superfriends, GW Rhys Tokens, WUBRG Scion of the Ur-Dragon
