Perhaps the cycle Auramancer, Scrivener, Gravedigger, Anarchist, Cartographer will return. But it would be cooler to print a better cycle that is a step above these, such as legends/rares and having the trigger every upkeep.
On the other hand, being another graveyard block, I think they would avoid reprinting cards from Oddeysey block to give it its own character. My guess will be cards like Think twice or Dread Return. Cards like Gifts Ungiven or Intuition are possible but unlikely candidates as well.
We already have Auramancer and Gravedigger reprints in M12. So that cycle isn't likely to return... maybe the other three members, but I doubt it.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
I haven't seen all of the future shifted cards, but from what I've seen, there are so many that have to do with the graveyard, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they went into future sight with this block pretty much in mind
They didn't even have Alara's themes all nailed down when they did Future Sight. They didn't even have Eventide totally figured out. At most they'd have known that they probably would do a graveyard-themed block sometime down the road and included things like that, but the flavor wouldn't necessarily follow from those. I believe the multi-year plan at that time only lasted up until Zendikar block (or Scars, I can't quite remember).
an old file showed Phrexian Arena on a stick and we were given an updated Phyrexian Negator.
I'm also rooting for poisonous to come back... it was future sighted with a sliver. On its own it could work with small, evasive creatures... vanilla at worst for draft, not nearly as dominating as it was in SoM. But for constructed it could give infect a reason to play more competitively.
All cards are in regular (modern) frames in D12. Including Damnation, from Nicol Bolas's Archenemy deck. It means nothing as far as what cards we'll be seeing in the near future.
Honestly, Yxilid Jailer has always seemed like it's in the wrong color, and I'd be surprised to see it reprinted as-is. I mean, putting a hoser in the color that's most hurt by it seems a bit weird. I wouldn't be surprised to see a functional reprint shifted into White or Green, though. Particularly Green thanks to Ground Seal, though white certainly has a strong flavor claim to the mechanic thanks to the symmetrical rules-setting nature of the color.
A horror-themed block might also see the return of Haunt, which would make for some interesting deckbuilding tensions in a graveyard-matters block where Haunt cards could be reliably triggered but wouldn't contribute to stocking the 'yard. Blind Hunter, Sieze the Soul, Belfry Spirit, and Cry of Contrition seem like possible reprints on that front since they're fairly setting-generic in name, though I do wonder if the mechanic would be shifted completely into one color or the other. If it is, shifting it fully into white would make a good bit of sense since hauntings tend to be punitive in theme and white would otherwise struggle to have something that feels like a natural "graveyard matters" mechanic to fit into the block.
On the other hand, about 2-3 years ago my son happened to encounter one of the WotC website columnists, who told him flat out that a Damnation reprint was going to happen... was the columnist mistaken? misleading? Did they change their minds?

No, they won't burn two keywords on returning mechanics. (debatable if delve is "returning.") R&D has also complained that the rules baggage with haunt is too unwieldly. A new mechanic inspired by haunt is a possibility however.
While not everything has to be perfectly synergistic, Wizards has been dumbing tension out of their game lately. A while ago, sure they'd stick flashback and delve in one set, but not now in the age of titan timmy-tastic spike cards.

I'm casting my vote for entomb, following the reprint of grim lavamancer after it appeared in a premium deck. I think we have a good chance of seeing some functional cephalid stuff too, whether they use the creature type or not.
If that was going to happen, it would have to involve Dominaria, since that's where he is at the moment. Bolas never lost his spark, and Karn fled to Mirrodin during Planar Chaos.

Plus if they really wanted to bring him back, they could either ret-con something, or just say he magically found a way to get to this plane.
That said though, it would be really random to bring Teferi back on Innistrad.
I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.

So what? Venser was on Dominaria until a couple of other 'walkers came to take him to Mirrodin, right?
Because some acolytes told Koth that he would need Venser's help on Mirrodin, an established plane that had connections to Karn who had connections to Venser. Froze wants Teferi on a plane we know almost nothing about just cuz. It wouldn't be hard for Wizards to do whatever they wanted with their game, I can agree with you on that, but are you seriously defending baseless speculation regarding a Teferi PW card and ISD because some guy wants it to happen?

I think it unlikely, as WotC has kind of toned down the new/recent sweepers (Day of Judgment vs. Wrath of God). Plus, Black Sun's Zenith obviously serves a very similar function.

i strongly doubt Bob will be in INN, I could imagine that card causing some complaints...

What? Dark Tutelage was in M11, so Dark confidant without Sensei's divining top is nothing special.

I'd suggest street wraith but we know cycling isn't in this block.
Perhaps it is like ghostfire or nacatl war-pride, in where it inspires a plane but is not in the block associated.
I think it is time we see compulsive research, deep analysis, and some lhurgoyfs back.

That didn't stop Karn. Or Bolas, who was quite dead for a long time.
If they want to bring Teferi back as a 'walker, it's not hard.
