I heard a rumor that Steamflogger Boss is indeed in the pipeline. And if so I would suspect the very steampunk inspired homeworld of Chandra would be a good place to show up. Maybe even after Zendikar. Who knows?

Interesting to see this, now that we know Flogger will be in the 3rd Un-set.
For once a necro'd thread makes sense. And yeah, Steamflogger Boss had found a home. Wondering if the OP is still around to update the list? Should be... saw that Aven Mindcensor has been added.

Yes, I actually am the one that necroed the thread. See my post right above yours.
Yeah, the full-art vanillas will also always be candidates. But as I understand it there was some backlash to his "joke" about Nessian Courser being the "there is a future-shifted card in Theros", so I kinda doubt he would do it again.

I don't think we're powerful enough to stop him from doing it.
Ravnica sets have had Homunculi, multicolour, enchantment subthemes, and Gatewatch story links.
Personally, I think Blind Phantasm, Bonded Fetch, Thunderblade Charge, Emblem of the Warmind, and Vedalken Aethermage are the most likely reprints, in order from most to least likely. Sets always need vanilla creatures, and Phantasm's original art suggests a connection to Jace, Fetch is a good Ravnican creature type and isn't actually that strange a card, Charge allows crossover between Izzet spells-matter and Boros aggro (with admitted timing and power issues), Emblem feels similar to the Magemark cycle (and could be used as a reference to the Warmind collaboration from Gatecrash), and Aethermage probably actually isn't getting reprinted on Ravnica because of the Slivers/Wizardcycling thing, I'm just including my wildest bet because there's a core set coming up.
Or it could be Storm Entity as an Izzet card in GOR/RNA (While storm is a broken mechanic, I don't think this creature is super problematic).
Maybe Yixlid Jailer as a hoser if any major Graveyard mechanic is about to come.
Darksteel Garrison - mainly the fortification idea - was made for ravnica, and then become the planeswalker card type. But yes, the darksteel is clearly from morodin.

Well, that's wrong.
In Ravnica design they tried a new card type called Structure, that represented buildings and could be attacked by creatures to be demolished. They weren't "equipments for lands". And they did end up using the basic rules for the Planeswalker type later.
Well, just noticed that Grave Scrabbler was reprinted in Ultimate Masters. After over a decade, we are almost at 50% of reprinted future shifted cards (39/81).
Anyone have any thoughts on what might make its way into Modern Horizons? If anything?

nice catch, probably modern horizon will have 0 future sight reprints cause it will only be new cards and reprints that are not legal in modern.
This thread's been necro'd three times!? That's an academy record!

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
It was already reprinted once (Modern Masters). So it is marked on the list as a reprinted card.
.
Can't really count sets that only consist of reprints, sadly that means that some cards will never return to standard (like 'goyf)
Actually you can, and that's what I have been doing for almost 9 years now. The whole point of this thread is to speculate on what future shifted cards will be reprinted in coming sets. While also indicating when a future shifted card has been printed with a non-future shifted card frame.

Could be Bonded Fetch in either Ravnica-set? Homunculus (Homunculii?) are at home in Ravnica, and looters kinda always play a nice role in sets.
Cubetutor Peasant'ish-Funbox
Project: Khans of Tarkir Cube (cubetutor)
Could be Blind Phantasm. Maybe he looks like Jace because he's residual Jaceness from Jace being the GuildJacePact. Or something.

This thread is from 2010, it's been necroed many times and will continue to be, simply because of the nature of the thread.
Edit: Also, if anyone is keeping track, it's been necroed at least 6 times.

As the cards of Future Sight are already Modern legal, none of them will show up in Modern Horizons.
