Cemetery Reaper would not have been created if it weren't for more zombies. That said, I'd expect them in Prosper. Magic would be a mess with two of the same colored tribes in the same block.
Not true.
Couldn't the same be said for ALA's zombie lord?
But there wasn't a high number of zombies printed due to it.

Ok a shepherd of rot? Ok then why dont we reprint wellwisher for the elves. I want to see zombies as a tribe again and i can see them being a small factor in worldwake, due to the fact that i see zendikar waking up in the next set and zombies might come about due to this

Cemetery Reaper creates his own zombies so I don't think that he is support to more zombies being printed. If wizards was going to go forward with zombies as a major tribe then they would have left Lord of the Undead in the core set.
If Wizards is going to create good support for Vampire decks then we will have to see very few zombies for the next few sets. I just don't think zombies will return to there former glory any time soon.

You do know that almost every culture on this planet has a vampire myth. Cultures that have never came in contact with each other share a myth of a creature that comes back to life and drinks the blood of the living. If all of the different cultures that exist or have existed here on this one planet can create vampires I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't be on almost every plane that Magic visits.
Yes I am well aware of this but please do not confuse the real world with that of magic. My point was two fold. First, worlds like Mirrodon (which we are seemingly likely to visit after this block) that have been cleared of most life would not have vampires unless they were brought there by planeswalkers and I don't see any of the bradywalkers doing that or even being powerful enough to do so. Another aspect of this is forcing them into a set. Zendikar is a plane where having a large number makes sense but think about it not every plane can support those kinds of numbers. Alara and Grixis in particular is a perfect example of this.
Secondly if there are too many vampires made they begin to lose what makes them special. Look at elves and goblins; people almost cringe now because it just seems like they are everywhere and personally I do not want to see my favorite tribe go that way. Zombies can do that because they are mindless undead and really who cares if they show up in most sets; it is not hard to find necromancers. This said I do understand why the switch from MaRo's article and black does need an intelligent iconic race I just don't think they should throw zombies under the bus to potentially make such a cool group pedestrian.
Why should Black have two tribes when its the least team tactic focused of any of the colors.

Don't you see that the whole aim of Moderators is to narrow the range of thought? In the end we shall make infractions literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it. Every concept that can ever be needed, will be expressed by exactly one word, with its meaning rigidly defined and all its subsidiary meanings rubbed out and forgotten.

Speak for yourself, sir. While I do support other tribes like Orochi, Centaurs, Orcs, Minotaurs, Dwarves, etc., I still like having the familiar elves and goblins represented to some extent.
Toward the end of that article it describes "Nulls". I personally find the flavor interesting, and the flavor of Vampires in Zendikar to be something almost solely created by the team behind them. Sure, they have the traditional bloodsucking bit, but the idea of nulls isn't something I've ever heard before. The end of that article leads me to believe there will either be more zombies that care about vampires, or some other sort of undead creatures that care about vampires.

I am not saying that I don't like seeing them represented but I don't like the over saturation that they have and do not want vampires to go that way. MaRo in the article that I was talking about compares what he calls the characteristic creatures like goblins and elves to starbucks. The simple fact that they are everywhere in America makes people associate them with America even though there is nothing inherently American about them. This is the same reason that people associate elves with green and goblins with red. I have no real problem with this, I in fact like starbucks, but don't you kind of shudder a little when you see people building a new Starbucks not a block from another one? I do and I don't want vampires to become that lest they lose that certain allure. I think that WoTC has done a good job so far but like I said earlier they simply do not fit everywhere. This is the same problem white has had with finding a characteristic type, which is different from class for those who will say soldier.

Except, Lord of the Undead is an outdated lord, notice Goblin King didn't come back either. They'll only print cards the give bonuses to creatures you control.
I hope that any future Nulls will actually be improved by having a vampire in play, not just made less worse. Or maybe a vampire that gives bonuses to zombies too, kinda like Death Baron (whom I'd prefer replace Cemetery Reaper in M11).
