Prowress on a 2 color man land is kind of stupid because it already costs 3+ mana to activate and then additional mana for the ability to do anything at all and you just get a +1/+1 bonus per spell. It's about as dumb as prowress on the leviathan they did. Now, maybe a souped up prowress like ability might be interesting.
I was very excited when I saw the topic because I thought the UR manland was finally going to be spoiled. I guess I will have to wait a little bit longer. I really hope it has evasion and not prowess. If it is prowess it better be somthing like:
Izzet Manland
Enters the battlefield tapped
[T]: Add U or R to your mana pool.
UR: Izzet Manland becomes a 2/2 elemental with prowess.
If it costs any more mana than 2 it will likely not be playable in any decks that would actually want it.
Would be too similar to Desolate Lighthouse for my taste.
Really excited for this if it is just GB to activate. Was kinda hoping for something similar to Scavenger Drake, but a regen beater sounds great too. Wonder if Abzan aggro can get away with eight manlands.

One of these day I have to get myself organizized.
Ugh, I hope the UR manland isn't Prowess. Manlands are at their best during a lull in the action, especially the manlands in control colors. I don't want to need to spend mana and cards to make my manland a viable size.

Formerly Angrypossum over at the now-defunct WotC forums.
You guys can doubt (i can and hope its fake. Dont really care to hand modern jund more tools, espeically since the boros one was such crap #salt) but at least dont run the poster off... Jeez, if it turns out to be true you all insulted a dude who was nice enough to share info.
If its not... So what? We get fake leaks all the time, and its always a little fun to theory craft with them. Dont hate, deck create!
To be fair, he was very abrasive in the way he responded, especially when doubt was cast. Running him off may not have been right, but I wouldn't quite say he was nice either.
Not exactly sure what the OP did wrong here. People asked for the source; it's an inside one, so the OP gives as much info as he can without risking the source's job. People continue to question the OP, so he states that he'll give the exact source to a mod. This isn't some holier than thou dismissal- it's standard behavior for protecting sources here. The diction doesn't even suggest superiority complex, which is the first thing some of you assumed for some reason.
It's too powerful, especially compared to the other enemy manlands. A 1/1 or 2/2 for that activation cost I could see, but not a 3/3.
Why no? Its basically a Treetop Village but with Regen over Trample... and has a 5 mana 2 color requirement. I still think Raging Ravine is better for Jund. There are games he becomes immense.

Agreed. I have no problem with how he handled the request for sources. And since this thread is still around, I'm guessing the mods were satisfied with his answer. I believe this to be real and am not looking forward to what this means for standard.

I would have responded in some nearly identical fashion if I were the OP.
In contrast though, I couldn't care less about standard, but I am worried about the modern implications. That's the lowest activation cost on any of the dual-color manlands. You can reasonably afford to activate and regenerate it even pretty early in the game. It's probably more powerful than Stirring Wildwood/Shambling Vent/Lavaclaw Reaches and comparable to Raging Ravine. I really don't think that GBx shells needed any kind of boost. :s
What's strange is this is the exact card I spoiled 3 months ago for this block, probably same source. This forum needs to chill out ripping everyone who puts anything on this site, that's why I stopped revealing cards to this site at all. I had the expeditions over a week ago.

I can back this up as you did spoil the G/B one three months ago and specifically answered a question for me. I also agree that the OP went about it the correct way to insure that less fake spoilers are posted. I think if people have a history of spoiling correct cards they should be trusted until proven false.

Seriously wondering if some of the people calling fake on every potential leak they see are just plants from Wizards. We should really be erring on the side of giving people the benefit of the doubt so that people with leaks are more inclined to share them.

Yeah honestly you should. I spoiled 4 cards and the entire dual land set and then was instantly booed away because I didn't use 'proper' text whatever when describing a card. So I just left the spoiling zone. People just love to hate. Give this dude the benefit, even if he is just posting my post about this land.
