The rep I just talked to from Hasbro said they will enforce the one per household and all extra orders will be canceled, restocked and sold. I'd expect those who got a few threw to be aware of this or maybe get lucky and slip through the cracks
First of all, a HUGE thank you to whomever suggested that Auto Refresh Plus with the 6-second alarm. I was just about to leave my computer when I heard this bizarre sound only to realize the cards were up.
So to give people some perspective as to how long exactly someone had to get this item, here's what transpired for me:
Was logged in on HasbroToyShop on Chrome. Auto Refresh Plus's alarm goes off.
I check the page and see it's the only new item and click to add item to cart
I click about 10 times on the button to proceed to checkout, but Chrome keeps giving me the shopping cart over and over.
Got on the phone with a relative (whom I helped to set up an account a couple days ago) to help me buy one on their account.
While on the phone, I changed my cookie settings in Chrome to make sure to allow all the cookies. Tried again. Still can't proceed to checkout.
Got off the phone after explaining to relative what needed to be done.
Tried to add a second card set to cart to see if that would fix things. Was told I was limited to 1 at the cart screen.
Removed the first one from the cart and got the same shopping cart screen again when trying to proceed to checkout.
Copy/pasted URL to Firefox. Logged in.
Clicked homepage, then exclusives, then added one to cart.
Proceeded to checkout.
Signed into PayPal. Clicked a bunch of cookie confirmations (really during the whole process on Firefox) due to my browser settings. Said "No" to Bill Me Later option.
Finally got through PayPal and returned to Hasbro's site. Clicked the confirmation button to finish the order.
Got phone confirmation from relative that they were able to buy one too. Good thing we have different addresses. Tried to see if we could get someone else signed up to buy one, but before we could start on that, they were listed as sold out.
So we'll see if the cards end up at my place, but on my end, Hasbro appears to have taken my money and sent me a confirmation (Hasbro confirmation took a lot longer than PayPal's confirmation), so it looks good. But that was a lot of time spent trying to get my order placed, so there was definitely a reasonable window.
One thing to note for those who haven't gotten it yet, from the HasbroToyShop FAQ (emphasis added):
If for any reason additional inventory becomes available, we will make every effort to add those items back into inventory as soon as possible. Once the item is removed from the HasbroToyShop.com website, the item is completely sold out and will never be available for purchase through HasbroToyShop.com again.
According to this line, since the item is still on the site, but listed as sold out, it's possible that more will be put up. Good luck to everyone who missed this round.
'I ordered 5 of them so I can screw over the other people who want them and make some money'
sounds like your everyday magic player
i doubt it, they maybe had that many at Comic-con.
^Second this.

Same happened to me. Oh well, would have been nice to get for $60.
