What kind of irks me is that the people who picked these up at the con this weekend, will also be able to pick these up if and when they show up online. This would make it harder for those who don't have any to order one. But equal opportunity I guess.
Just got off the phone and had a lengthy convo with a Hasbro toy shop manager. I was told that management is now telling the employees that the overflow from Comic-Con will hit the website "sometime this week". It could be anytime any day but she said "tuesday, wednesday, thursday or friday, we just don't know when." So hopefully you can all count on one of those days.
This is coming from a manger as well so I'm pretty sure it's solid information.
Now the lady also said that she has NO IDEA if the specific item (MTG Planeswalkers) will even hit the store and seeing as Wizards has stated themselves: "After the event a limited number will be put up for sale on the Hasbro Toy Shop website for $59.99 plus tax."
This makes me think that there will, in fact, be some sort of stock available online. How much and for how long? Who knows. But we can all keep each other posted right?
"If fetch lands are reprinted I really believe they will be in allied colors (aka Onslaught fetches). If the fetch lands are reprinted you better believe that we'll all be fetching up basics. This would lead me to believe that the set after THS may have a reprint as the temples can't be fetched but it's pure speculation." - posted 03/22/2014 proved correct during Khans spoiler season.
"The set releases for fall 2015 (Blood, Sweat and Tears) and fall 2016 (Lock, Stock and Barrel). One or both of those 2 blocks (I'm betting) are going to contain either Fetch reprints or (more likely) Filter reprints. Filter lands still need a reprint. They are getting pretty high up there and it's been longer than ZEN so it makes a little more sense that Filter lands would see print earlier that fetches." - posted 03/22/2014 proved incorrect about filters coming earlier than fetches, still pending on filters in Origins block.
Coming from the world of buying Phish tickets (record sellouts @ like 12 seconds) here's a few tips for people trying online.
1. Make an account so you can use the one-click checkout. (your item isn't "reserved" until it's purchased so while the suckers are putting in their CC information. You can speed by that stuff.)
2. NEVER reload your browser. Unless you were the first person to see that these are available, the website will be heavily bogged down with extremely high traffic and will be running at a snail's pace. If you reload your browser, you lose your place "in line" so to speak. The server handles so many connections at a time and it bases it off request times. When you reload your browser you reload your request time.
3. Get in and get out. Trying to purchase more than allowed will only cause you headache and heartache. It's never known how many will be up, how rare they will be, when, where, what, how, why, etc.... From my experience, just buy what you need and be happy with that. Re-Selling is a pain and puts your Karma in the red. (and you don't want that do you?)
4. Share with your community. Whenever we had really hard tickets that a buddy got shut out on we would always make a list of people to share with, sell them for what you paid and sometime down the line your friend will remember it and help you out when your short a few cards for your playset or something. It works in the Phish community, why shouldn't it work here?
5. Last but not least, CALL! I always try to place orders online and via calling at the same time. Usually you'll get a busy signal and the operator might have the same problem as you but they might have a faster internet connection, who knows? It's always worth it to sit on the computer and the phone. You aren't missing anything. If you get through and the sales rep doesn't, just say thanks and goodbye.

Thank you for the tips, but this one I don't understand. If I go to the website and the promos are not posted there yet, then when I want to check again later, what is a better way to do that than reloading the page?
The amount of people viewing this thread is insane. I have a feeling the sale is gonna be like one of those youtube videos where the hyenas proceed to mangle the hell out of a zebra's corpse.
Except they specifically said:
So obviously they do have some, probably set aside from before the convention.
Awesome like I was guessing. I hope you're right fingers crossed

The FAQ on SDCC exclusives said there will be a limit (There is a limit of 5 on the My Little Pony for example).
The Limit will be 2 Per person just like at the con.
