Do we see the preview card for RTR in Planechase II and not FTV:Realms?
We wont see anything from RTR.While its not confirmed that i know of,but we'll see M13 cards in PC2.
They only give us preview cards for things being released about a month later.
We'll get two preview cards for RTR in the duel deck:izzet vs golgari.
Karric
The release info for FTV:Realms said nothing about a preview card, which the previous FTV's all have. It's either a mistake on WOTC's part, or the preview card is in HOP2.
Your gonna have trouble finding a preview card for FTV:exiled...since there wasn't one.And what is HOP2?
I'd assume the Planechase mana rock is in all 4 decks just like Command tower was in all 5. It's also about 6th down the list on 5 color mana rocks, so its play outside of using Planechase will be pretty much zero.
I don't know about you guys, but I would want a ninjutsu general even if it did work in the command zone, because then they would know it was comming.
I would have want a Ninjutsu General, only because it gives me the right to play a Ninja theme Commander deck with the other existing 8 Ninjas from Kamigawa.;)
Something I just noticed, the original Planechase had a preview card of Zendikar in it. Do we see the preview card for RTR in Planechase II and not FTV:Realms?
Oh neat, much cooler than I originally suspected ;p
Really hope there is a preview card for RTR!

Easily the 2nd best cascade creature ever made and perhaps even better then the obvious #1 once the dust settles on legacy/vintage after this guy is officially launched.
You can sig me if you want on this he will make a huge impact in formats he is legal in.

Love the cascade bear. I dont think it will see play in vintage because cascading into a mox is less than amazing, but in legacy the card is really strong. Turn 1 disruption, Turn 2 bear and cascade, hope to hit a cabal therapy, then pop him for flashback on cabal therapy, turn 3 play something to win the game with.
Or alternately, t1 Delver, T2 this guy and get your set up card or another delver.
Or hypergen or ancestral visions. It is too bad the cascades in the 3 slot dont play as well with this guy.
I actually think it will help give black and blue a fighting chance against maverick now.

They already had perish and dread of night and virtue's ruin if they saw fit to run that. Also, since when is maverick dominating a bad thing? When zoo was the best deck in the format, no one really complained. Same case with maverick. Whenever something without blue dominates, very few people complain except the people who love blue to death.
That UB cascade card is absolutely nuts in legacy and maybe vintage. With all the library manipulation, it could be anything from dark ritual to ponder to top to ancestral vision. Of course making hypergenesis even faster is great too so that might be a deck, but that seems unlikely ATM with canadian thresh packing either spell pierce and/or stifle and all this countermagic.
If it's a wizard, I would definitely play riptide lab with the card. Repeatable cascade? Hitting swords, brainstorm, etc. etc. every time is ridiculous. I don't think wizards knew what they were doing when they decided to print that card. Did they even think about the effect it would have on eternal? Maybe briefly like with snapcaster mage but they just decided to roll with it I guess.
I just had a funny thought that what if the cost of the UB cascade dude is actually 3? That would be a blowout just like with manaplasm and slithermuse and such when manaplasm was originally spoiled at 1G it was widely regarded as the next tarmogoyf. When the evoke cost on slithermuse was at 2U it was windfall. But if this card is indeed cmc 2, expect it to see play in legacy. A lot.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
Also, since when is maverick dominating a bad thing?
Anything DOMINATING is a bad thing. I would love a balanced and open playing field.
The thing with this dude is that if you want the cascade to be something very specific it limits your 1 drops and your opening plays, which can be devastating in legacy. If you jsut slap him into other existing lists hes probably just a cantrip creature, which is still good, but not devestating.
He has tons of potential. I think I like him in rack strategies since he himself can also fish out the rack and along with Inquisition or thoughtsizes and snapcaster and cabal and hymn and force you can play very early control into very rapid top deck or die while still being a psudeo "fair" deck. Only concern I have is this guys price tag and the following price jump in underground seas.
In vintage it becomes hard because of moxen. Obviously you want to hit ancestral but you also want to use your moxes and hitting one of them is just ok. Might be something to this card though as a tutor, where maybe you only run fastbond and demonic consultation or something and go gush crazy as soon as you can?
Still can't see the word/symbol X^2 on a magic card.
If these are really true (I'm still dubious) the only way to put it in "magic" words is "X times X".
They don't need it.
Devour X (As ~ comes into play, sacrifice any number of creatures. Put X +1/+1 counters on ~ for each creature sacrificed this way)
It provides X^2 power without using X^2 in the cardface.
I guess OP wants it to be 'keyworded' like "dies" was. What word would you replace ETB with though?
When Aegis Angel is born?
When Huntmaster of the Fells arrives?
When Kitchen Sphinx lands?
When Faerie Imposter busts in?
When Dread Cacodemon pops in?
When Malfegor shows up?
They don't need it.
Devour X (As ~ comes into play, sacrifice any number of creatures. Put X +1/+1 counters on ~ for each creature sacrificed this way)
It provides X^2 power without using X^2 in the cardface.
But nothing in this 'reminder text' tells you what X is, unless he has something like.
Maybe something like:
This has devour X, where X is the number of creatures it devoured?
I'm trying to think of how they would word it, but it's hard.. I keep looking at Chain Reaction to come up with ideas.
But nothing in this 'reminder text' tells you what X is, unless he has something like.
It doesn't need anything. The normal reminder text for devour doesn't define the number, this doesn't need to either. It might simply say if you sacrifice 2 creatures to this ability, it has 4 counters, three it has 9, or something of that nature.
My point is in short, it doesn't need any template change, I don't think.

It would probably have a separate entry in the CompRules like Bloodthirst X.
Devour X (As this enters the battlefield, you may sacrifice X creatures. This creature enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters for each creature sacrificed this way.)
702.80c. "Devour X" is a special form of devour. "Devour X" means "As this object enters the battlefield, choose a value for X and sacrifice that many creatures. This permanent enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it for each creature sacrificed this way."

When ~ deals damage to a player, look at that players and hand and cast an instant or sorcery spell from it without paying its mana cost.
7/6
I really hope they use this name and creature type.
Card is pretty meh. Wrexial, the Risen Deep does the same job, but you have a larger selection, since the casting if from a graveyard. If anything, an Ornithropter turning into 7 damage out of nowhere could be nasty, not to mention a possible free cast of something from their hand.
That reminds me, any rules gurus out there? If you cast a card from their hand, where would it go? The graveyard? If so, you get a free spell and deny them of ever using it. I may had undervalued this guy, then...

I really like this guy. GU is my favorite color pair, and this slides right in to so many of my decks. I'll require a minimum of 4.

I have never played Planechase, so I have no idea how good that second ability is. Outside of Planechase, it's heavily outclassed. Coalition Relic and Darksteel Ingot say "Hi".
It actually makes perfect sense that the cascade bear guy is in UG instead of UB. Now he is perfectly within the colors for Mr. Double Cascade himself, Maelstrom Wanderer.

Frankly, I thought the Ninja did that from the beginning. Mostly because I misread it, and partly because anything less would make it worthless.
By the by, this should be updated in the second page and should be added in the first post, right (or at least a "See Post # for More Information")?
