T1: Swamp, Dark Ritual, Liliana of the Veil, activate +1 ability, discard a dredge card and get your opponent to discard
T2: Dredge, you should now be set to go all kinds of dredge nuts.
This starts making dredge even more nuts.
Legacy Dredge doesn't need a discard outlet like Liliana when it has cards like Putrid Imp, Tireless Tribe, Careful Study, Breakthrough, etc. Having to play Liliana and Dark Rit would drastically slow down your stock Legacy Dredge list. And what is comin out for Liliana and Rit? A Dredger, Breakthrough, Cabal Therapy? I don't think so.
Legacy Dredge isn't changing anything unless they print a Dredge 10 spell, or Bridge from Below 2.0. Not happening. Plus, Mental Misstep has made Dark Ritual decks nearly unplayable in the format, anyway.
I'm much more interested in Liliana's applications in Modern alongside cards like Vengevine, Bloodghast, Extractor Demon, etc.

Since when did Bazaar get unbanned in Legacy?
With the little difference that Liliana IS A PW and those spells (imp, carefull, etc) NOT. Liliana give u the chance to keep her grow the next turn and next.
I'm not really a fan of Liliana of the Vei especially since her CMC is three, I really don't want to see this becoming a trend of planeswalkers costing three to come out no matter what their abilities are.

Yeah, but in Legacy you already have somegoodways to do that. Two of these let you drop all your Dredgers if you want to. They also don't require a 2nd card (Ritual) to do it.
Haha when I first saw the post I just figured the links were relevant Legacy cards, but did you seriously just put Bazaar of Baghdad as a Legacy Dredge staple?
I think Liliana is okay. I kind of like she has a CMC of three. But yeah, she's just okay. I like Garruk a lot better.
As for Kruin Outlaw, I had a good chuckle when I saw it. The woman in the art kind of looks like a girl I almost hooked up with the other night. As for the actual card itself, the werewolf part is alright. A 3/3 with double strike that can't be blocked except by two or more creatures is pretty cool.

I have enough faith in the designers of the set to make good cards that work well with Liliana, even her +1.
As for Fiend Hunter, idk if it's been mentioned, but it's very nice in Ghave EDH. Sac him when his first ability is on the stack for some awesome exiling.
Now we need a good creature outlet in standard to really abuse this.
She'll be a lot better than any of the other PW's that have come out recently, 3cc with hand and board control is pretty darn spicey, unless black has nothing else to offer that's great vs other archetypes this will be a staple of standard, and a walker you will usually want to run 4 of. 35-55$ till it rotates imo
Since when did journey to nowhere or oblivion ring get around protections?
I think he's just confused because they get around Emrakul's protection. The reason that works though is because he has protection from colored Spells. With O-Ring and Journey, they beat it by targeting with their abilities post resolution, so they're no longer spells on the stack at that time. Fiend hunter will do the same. None of them get around traditional protection though.

Liliana could or could not be broken, depending on what the rest of Innistrad brings. She'll probably settle down to $20 once enough of the set's been opened. I can't help but wonder if any black aficionados are peeved they didn't get their four-mana 'walker yet again. Maybe Sorin 2.0...

Which is completely irrelevant when you're removing effects that are integral to the speed of the deck in order to play her.
This card is very good. Depending on the rest of the set she has JTMS (potential) but to me that is very doubtful since you really need to build around a certain theme for lili and decks splashed blue to toss in JTMS. But in the decks built around her shes solid especially in solar flare (one lili away from solar flare dammit).:toot:

Which just may very well be the case, we won't know until the second or third set whether she'll be stellar.

Liliana does not belong in Legacy Dredge, ever.
