Now that you say it, I did notice that too, that's kinda interesting, i remember them spoiling at least the sets with the mythic symbol color now so why not this, but i'm not sure, but I also remember them releasing the precon EDH set with just the rare color and the legend shown was mythic i believe so these will probably get bumped up to mythic is my thinking.

This is super exciting, and the first FTV that I might actually preorder! Yay for official Commander love.

I'm so excited for this. I'm VERY surprised at the sheer volume of Commander love we are getting this year. I also want to mention that this set is exceedingly unlikely to contain any banned Commanders (which would mean Rofellos, for instance, seems out of the question).

Don't forget, a lot of legendaries are on the reserved list, so we won't be seeing them

With that in mind, Umezawa's Jitte would be great!

I could definitely go for an alternate art Sharuum.

This seems like an awesome addition to the FTV series. Foily EDH cards, here we go!

Just to clarify though:

"The 15 legendary creatures are all printed in the current card frame. For several, it is for the first time."

Unless I'm way off, I wouldn't count on any legendary lands/enchantments/artifacts. Thus, no Jitte, Karakas, etc.

I will actually buy the box for this probably. I got the dragons, since I collect them, and the other two I just got certain cards. But this? This is probably gonna be pure commander gold.

Thank you How I met your Mother (and Captain Black) for giving us the news in advance. This is the first FTV I'm actually really excited about. I might pick one up, especially if all the new arts are as sweet as that Teferi one.

That was before the Reprint Policy took effect. The new reprint list took effect as of Jan 1, 2011.

I'm actually going to take back what I just said. After checking the Official Reprint Policy it states:

Premium Cards

A previous version of this policy allowed premium versions of cards on the reserved list to be printed. Starting in 2011, no cards on the reserved list will be printed in either premium or non-premium form.

The printing of cards on the reserved list caused a big hoopla last year and caused WOTC to take another look at their policy, since the "reprint as promo" loophole for FTV/Duel Decks/Judge Promos was causing problems -- especially with dealers.

The new policy that came out of that is, going forward, nothing on the list gets reprinted, ever. I'm sure someone else has the announcement article handy.

This was before the most recent Reserved List Policy change. We won't see ANYTHING from the Reserved List anymore (supposedly), no matter the circumstances.

When relics came out the next set was going to be an artifact subtheme...

Now we get legends... Can this mean that the next sat have a theme of legends like kamigawa?

also, after the first mirrodin block the next block was kamigawa (legends).....

I was just about to post this.

Is the white to black boarder a confirmation that at least one P3K will be reprinted in this? I couldn't be bothered to search all 456 Legendary creatures printed to date.

I severely doubt we'll see reprints of any legends previously printed in FTV or even Duel Decks for that matter. I'd prefer not to see a card slot wasted on another Gerrard or Akroma (personally wouldn't mind Bolas though).

I'd like to believe that WotC would avoid SoA, Zen, and SoM blocks but I'd be surprised not to see at least one from those.

I feel that Sisay or Hanna, though not necessarily both, will be in there. I'm 100% sure we'll see one mono legend of each color and one WUBRG legend. Top 3 guesses are Karona, Progenitus or Scion of the Ur-Dragon. I'd rather see a non-Overlord Sliver though. Jhoira or Zur would make this set worth the $ though.

I would be all for this previewing a return to Kamigawa, at least in setting, hell even in power level.

It's definitely Teferi. Note the broken staff in the teaser art, then note the card art of Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir. It's the same staff. Plus, the exact same outfit as MoZ. Cho-Manno, Revolutionary's only resemblance is depicting a dark-skinned man.

Also, Sliver Queen will definitely not be in this, as she is on the Reserve List.

Karn is on the reserve list so they can't reprint him anymore. I'm thinking we're most likely going to get only relatively popular Commanders in this set, so I imagine we'll see Sharuum, Uril, Azusa, etc.

But ya, it look like Teferi is on it (based on the Previewed art).

Hopefully we got non-legendary cards that interacts with legendary creatures (such as Loyal Retainers)
