Uhh, yes can't die to bolt, because activating the ability is what puts the counters on, not the resolution of the ability. It is the cost of the action, so for the action to be put on the stack, you must 'pay' the cost.

I see! That is the best way anyone has put it, and what a relief! Hahaha I guess someone playing PW control should know this. I'll have to let my friend know too. He'll be surprised to hear he was wrong though lol.

But yeah, new Jace looks really nice, however I'm kinda sad. In my current deck, Beleren is my power house drawing engine. I guess this guy can replace, but he won't have the same drawing power.

I'm 100% certain. The addition or subtraction of loyalty counters is the cost of the ability, and all costs must be paid before the ability reaches the stack.

"Las cartas..... Biblioteca del" means "the/all cards....... library from the"

Looking at the space available, "Exile all" fits nicely in front of cards.

"Exile all cards from target players library, then that player shuffles his or her hand into his or her library."

Correction, it depends on the circumstance. It could either refer to the person, or the article (in this case, the deck). Without any more text, you can't be sure.

Yeah, PW ability definitely has first priority over everything. If the brainstorm ability is -1, and heck, Unsummon 0 (wow that'd be way too much to ask wouldn't it?) I'd play the card.

In order for him to be useful, he needs to stay on the board a few turns. So if you get him to 5 with his first turn, then use brainstorm, he's gone by his third turn. So you don't even get the synergy you were looking for.

And to Iron Maiden Avatar guy: I'm not whining, I'm speculating on possibilities. A card is only worth what it can contribute. If this doesn't help monoblue, it's worthless IMO.

Wouldnt it be funny if the ultimate did something no one expected?

Hi, I am italian and I think the italian version of Jace is already pretty much complete and all his abilities are clear, so just the loyalty costs now are missing.

The first one is already complete, so I'll just skip it.

The second one is Brainstorm, as it has already been speculated, not Dream cache, because you cannot put them at the bottom and you can do it only for your deck, not opponent's.
So it says: Draw three cards, then put two cards from your hand on top of your library in any order.

The third ability is Unsummon. In italian are clearly visible the words "creatura" and "proprietario" (owner). So it's Return target creature to owner's hand.

The fourth ability, that is still the most debated, is quite clear too and even if it's hard to believe it, it's really that way! Exile all cards from target player's library, then that player shuffles his hand into his or her library.

This one too is quite clear in the italian version, because you can read the words that are missing in the English version, like "all cards", "target player's library" and "shuffles his hand" "library".

So I think now we only need to know the loyalty costs!

I appreciate your full ability to discern the proper placement of so many minor words. In full respect, I did not bring the "target opponent" into my train of thought due to my immediate concern of the 'del'.

You know it could be:

-X: Exile XXX cards from target player's library. Shuffle hand into library.

Something like that would be pretty powerful. Hmm, nvm. That would be stupid.

No no! The 13 isn't "random." It's thirteen because if you are lucky to get all four in your opening hand, and they crack a fetch, they will have ONE card left in their library. Or zero if they crack it T2, T3, etc. Not random. Carefully chosen - also happens to be "unlucky," fitting with the trap aspect. It's really a cool card.

But yeah looks like the bets are down for this guy's ultimate. We'll see in a matter of hours. Exciting!
