I'm going to be going to the prerelease on Saturday and I'm wondering which clan I should chose? I'm more of posting early for the people that go to the midnight release but I'm sure there's else ideas floating around now. I've ruled out the dredge clan or the r/u/g. Sorry if this sounds stupid but I haven't played limited in awhile, the last time was boros at the gtc prerelease.
Value is good. But Dredgevine isn't supposed to be about value. It's supposed to be about V-8; 2000 pounds of nitro boosted war vegetables. The more velocity, the better.

Gisela, Blade of Goldnight

I would say Abzan. Their sliver like mechanic is amazing in limited and both W and B have removal.
Second would be Temur or Mardu. Temur has strong colors and a solid game plan. Mardu is strong, but need something to the late game.
I dont recomend Jeskai and Sultai. Jeskai need noncreature spells to be really good, but its difficult to do in limited. Sultai will probably be one of the strongest in constructed, but to limited you can go really bad with their game plan. Still, if you can, use 2 or 3 delve spells to gain value.
So, Abzan is the best to limited, with Temur in second and Mardu almost there
I somehow find it tragic when an attacking Traveling Philosopher gets blocked by another Traveling Philosopher, which normally results in two dead philosophers. Shouldn't they just sit aside and start discussing?
"This is really exciting, so much to find out about, so much to look forward to, I'm quite dizzy with anticipation . . . Or is it the wind? There really is a lot of that now, isn't there? And wow! Hey! What's this thing suddenly coming toward me very fast? Very, very fast. So big and flat and round, it needs a big wide-sounding name like . . . ow . . . ound . . . round . . . ground! That's it! That's a good name- ground! I wonder if it will be friends with me? Hello Ground!"
Curiously enough, the only thing that went through the mind of the Sprouting Phytohydra as it fell was Oh no, not again.
I second that Abzan looks like the best for limited. As much as I despise outlast, it's a stalemate breaker and those often happen in limited, especially if you play a defensive deck. I have no idea how fast Mardu is, but if it can be constructed as an aggro deck similar to how Boros was in GTC, I'd consider it. I doubt that it can, however, because of slow the fixing is.
I was leaning towards Abzan or mardu, but like you said mardu doesn't really have a late game. I am also hoping to get some temur non creature spells to go with my creatures that have power 4 or greater.
