So I've read the announcement a few times over trying to understand exactly what TK is trying to impart to us, but either I'm so amazed by it or just am having trouble grasping it.
Wizards is printing all the Shock Lands and Gates again in The Dragon's Maze?
Again, I'm just a little bewildered by the choice (not that I dislike the idea), and would like a plain English "Yes, they will be printed in Dragon Maze." or "No, they will not be printed in Dragon Maze."
My understanding is that they will have the "Special" rarity? So they'll have a purple set symbol? That's pretty cool... I hope this drops the price of all those lands for a few years or to that effect in years to come.

Gates, Shocks and the Mythic land will be in Dragon Maze.
They will be replacing the sets land spot in boosters.
Gates and the Mythic land will have the new Set symbol, I believe the gates may even have new art.
Shocks will have their RTR or GTC symbols.
Cool, thanks for the replies and more info. I think it's very cool of Wizards to do this.
I get that the shocks are still "Rare" cards, but do you think the frequency of them will change based on them replacing the land slot in the pack? (If that's actually how it's going to work.)

It's been stated that you should see them at roughly half the frequency you see them now. (In RTR/GTC)

So is there no chance that we'd see the shock lands in the rare slot? Are they only in the land slot? There was a rumor about a month ago that we'd have 3 chances to see shock lands in a single pack (foil, rare, land). You know what? It sounds really ridiculous when I think about it.

I may be wrong, but I don't think so. The Shockland can only appear in the land slot, so there's only one chance for it. Likewise with the Mythic, and I believe the Gates, too, though I think, as those DO have the DGM symbols, they might appear in the foil slot as well.
Why people have so much trouble to understand how the deal is?
The basic land slot is now a nonbasic land slot. In that slot chances are, you open a Gate, you open the Mythic DGM land or a shockland. However, as these shocklands are not actually part of the DGM set (they're just like the ones you can open in RTR or GTC boosters), they cant be in any other slot, being those slots rare or foil.
Probably something to do with playing non-DGM cards in DGM sealed?
I asked into this on twitter a while back with Helene Bergeot. She said that the rules will be worked out in time for Pre-release/Release. As far as Full Block sealed, there will be no issues of course as the shocks are legal in the block.
As far as the other lands, Gates and the mythic CAN appear in the foil slot, shocks can't.

Also, If I recall correctly, Gatecrash booster have Return to Ravnica basic lands... there you have cards with other expansion symbol in your booster.
I believe WoTC's new policy is to make sure that every color can enjoy the exciting gameplay mechanic of making undercosted dudes and then turning them sideways. Clearly the future of magic.

The issue isn't with what cards are in the boosters. It's what cards can you play with in a sealed format. The rules say you can add any number of basic lands to your deck, so it doesn't matter if GTC basics have the RTR symbol. They also say that you can use a card from a different set as long as it has the same name as a card that is legal in the format, i.e. using an invasion cremate instead of a RTR one. If you wanted to do a draft and then replace your card with an old one, that's okay. So that's not the issue.
It's like with the treasures in Zendikar. If you cracked a pack and got a Bayou, you couldn't play it, because Bayou wasn't a legal card in the set.
They'll probably make an exception rule that says any format that uses sealed DGM packs can use the shocks with RTR/GTC symbols.
But seriously, people are overthinking this and looking for a "gotcha."
All the Shockslands in Dragon Maze will cause the price to fall about $5 worth. I would expect about 2 lands to be in the set besides the Shocks. We know the one Mythic, but another might be a man land. There also might not be a second new land.
It really only depends on how well received the set is. What's REALLY going to impact the price of shocks is that they will be able to be drafted again from both RTR and GTC. It's been a while since we've had that model, and people forget that having the ability to go back and play with older sets helps keep the money rares slightly in check.
However, all bets are off after M14 comes out and the whole block stops being drafted and given as prize packs as often.
I don't think shocks will drop more than a couple of bucks in the long run, and expect them to rise again after fall (see ISD lands).

I'd say that depends a lot on Modern Masters supply, and how well M14 is received. We always have a draft FNM; if Modern Masters is supplied to the store well enough to make it a draftable option(at a higher price point, prob.), that'll already be cutting into drafts, depending on players/stores' choice. If M14 is received like M13 was, then most players will probably prefer to draft something else instead of a core set draft--either MoMa, or RGD.
That said, I don't expect shocks' prices to drop much, or for long--my instinct is that there's a sizeable number of people who are hoping shockland prices drop, but will buy theirs at the first hint of a price drop--leading to a very short price drop, if any. Singles sellers can be pretty sure of selling them over time, so there's little incentive to lower prices to increase sales in the short term.

Dude M13 was the BOMB for draft, it was the only thing it was good for!

1 - I think you're being pretty optimistic about MM availibility. Even if it's as big a print run as one regular print run of a normal set, it will be gone quickly.
2 - People will draft M14, even if for a few weeks. Also remember that DGM will be drafted with RTR and GTC, so the number of people "sick of" drafting that format will be larger than ISD/DKA since they had a buffer set in between
3 - M14 and the Fall Set may not have a "good" dual land cycle to replace the buddie/check lands. Shocks will grow in value even more if this is the case.
But my point still stands that shocks will raise after rotation, even if they drop in the meantime. It's just how things work. People are more an eagar to trade them right now, thinking there will be plenty to go around for the next few months... but that dries up and then people will be back scrambling to get copies of stuff they traded away the year prior.
actually drastically. may go down to a dollar if the supplies go over the margin and the demand not moving a bit.

Yeah the set symbol actually has significance in the rules
Even though DGM sealed isn't a main variant, its a choice by some stores to do against suggestion.
It almost makes me think it isn't worth the debate. If you wanna draft or sealed against suggestions by Wizards, you're going to have issues.
