Wizards, you glorious bastards. This card would be bonkers in Legacy and Modern if you had only added "X or less" to the card! A one-of in junk or jund builds to win out of nowhere in late game.
As it is, it's potentially explosive, and tricky to build around. If you want to swarm out your one-drops, Proclamation of Rebirth seems superior. Spamming two-drops could be a very real deal, but if you build your deck around two-drops, you're asking to be Spell Snared out of the game early. You cannot build your deck around three-drops because that's just too slow, so you're not gonna hit many three drops late game.
Gawd so close to awesome, yet so far...
I read the card the first time wrong and didnt saw that it is not "X or less" and I thought Wow this card is crazy. But I mean if it would read that, this would be seriously overpowered. After running out of steam you could just bring every creature back you played before. I would even go that far and say it would be on the same powerlevel as Sphinx's Revelation for many decks.
This card has legitimate potential, however it's clearly something you need to build around. Self mill is the answer, as I wouldn't trust it to reliably do anything otherwise.
Focusing on X =1, 2 or 3 is also how you're realistically going to get the most possible value for it. Anything higher, and you might as well be playing Unburial Rites.
Funny thing, this is terrible for Doran rock because it legend-rules away Doran if you have multiple copies in the yard. Except that Shaman lets you fix this problem... hmmm..

I really like this card, but only as a 2 of in deck or side board. A three mana plus X is good for "with green" decks, but can be hard to be standard competative without green mana excelleration. All I keep seeing is boros, zombies, and Human decks using this.
Abundant Growth acts as a fixer/cantrip for T1
Burning Tree double functions as a board accelerant and possible 4 damage coupled with Lightning Mauler on T2
Casting Immortal Servitude for 5 is really easy and if they waste their turn 4 Verdicting, oh boy, pure value.
The cards I'm in doubt about are the Forests (which could become Caverns), the Boros Charm (combat trick, defense against Pillar, a bit of reach, etc) and Rancor, which I like because it enables a pure aggro strategy in case the cantrips/looting don't come. Flashbacking Looting is hard because of Zealot, sadly.
I had Deranged Outcast to counteract targeted removal instead of Elvish Visionary, but the (repeatable) cantrip is way too good to pass on. Gotta test it to see what happens.
I wanna try a Jund version of this cutting W for B (so Mulch and Grisly Salvage can be played). Maybe Angel Reanimator is better because of uncounterability with Caverns, but I feel this version can be an aggro menace on it's own, unlike Angel.
I spent all night building this, combo's off turn 6 frequently, was play testing today with proxies, if my opponents didn't have lethal by turn 6 I usually won while playing today, very redundant and consistent, here's what I was testing as a standard format list:
Treacherous Pit-Dweller (it's another 2-drop with undying and with the ton of sac mechanisms in your deck, giving him to the opponent will generally not happen) Disciple of Griselbrand (sure, it costs one mana to activate, but you can actually get a decent amount of life from it. It's also a sac outlet that costs two mana... a deck with Immortal Servitude wants to concentrate its mana cost) Korozda Guildmage (Possibly a little expensive, but the ability to get multiple extra creatures off the one you're sacrificing might be worth it) Ambush Viper (Removal that can be resurrected and triggers your Artist/Noble)

He didn't mean in an actual "Reanimator" deck I don't think. It's amazing with a sac outlet and Blood Artist, like with what my deck I posted above was doing with Butcher Ghoul, same value.
I like this X spell the best of all of them of this set. Immortal Servitude is not as good as Paitriarchs Bidding, but there are alot of 2 and 3 cmc spells that dangerous to use in edh, comander, Modern and Standard. Thus I think its better besides the legal play cards fact per format. Wennie Decks will get alot of miles out this for shure.

It might still serve that function, but it's definitely a build-around me that invites someone to play a Chalice or Spell Snare and screw you over.

Good card, legitimate sleeper.
Why do people keep thinking this is CMC 2? It's 3.

Cast it for 4, return all 1 cmc Elves?
Possibly a slower Naya or Jund build that can take advantage of bring back 4 Burning Tree Emissaries...
It would be easy combo your grave full of cards, but you'd need to build a very rough deck that was either almost all 1 or 2 drops
Might be a fun deck building exercise

Oh hey, I like this. Blood Pet would be a cool guy too, in a different way.
The color requirement doesn't even really matter with Realmwright.

If you're running Faiths Reward, you should remember that Ghost Quarter is legal.
