The only guild leader we are missing is Simic, but so far all the other ones seem much better in relation to their guild than the guild leaders we got in Return to Ravnica.
The only guild leaders that meshed well with the mechanics of their respective guilds in RtR were Trostani and Jarad. Niv was not very Izzet outside of his colours, Isperia was garbage and Rakdos felt r/b but his ability had nothing to do with unleash.
In Gatecrash we have Aurelia that clearly works well with battalion, Borygoyboms (whatever his name is) is a bit like Rakdos in that he is very r/g but does not seem all that related to bloodrush (outside of the discard I guess, maybe Grull will get some kind of graveyard interaction?), Ozbedat that does not interact with extort but has it's own better version of it on a stick for free (and is looking like the chase mythic so far) and Lazav who feels very Dimir and obviously does not work directly with the mechanic since Cipher is on spells but has sweet graveryard-ish interactions.
I am liking the guild leaders a lot so far, if the Simic guild leader is any good Gatecrash guild leader cycle will spank the RtR one.
I think they did a fair job on all of them. Jarad and Ghost Council especially.
Well except Isperia...shes like the Krillen of the group.
OW!
Thats just not right.
Serious note thugh. Dimir, Boros, and Orzhov might be the top leaders in gate. Dimir is able to give Loners some form of horsepower in standard outside of the Fretter -> Taskmaster by being able to score and have him shift into your opponents strongest units heck maybe new phase of Esper. Orzhov has extort which not sure how it will interact thus far. Boros and Odric is going to be silly, even with or without Giddeon on the table.
Trotsani and Jarad are fun in EDH as commanders. Rackdos is like Haakon; awsome but a head scratcher for getting him in play. Yeh, Azorious guildmaster sucked cause if WoodWraith had not mentioned him; I would not even recall him.
Dimir guildmage and Obzedat is cool for standard play. They are not the ultimate win condition, but get the other player to say "crap! YOU". Thus fulfilling there true role.
I agree that the CTG guildleaders seem more powerful and in my opinion will probably see more constructed-play. Lazav and Orzhov are the most hyped ones, but I'm not that sold on them. Lazav might be just a bit too cute, and Orchov doesn't seem super good against aggro. I still think that he will probably see T2 play, I mean, at least everyone will try him out. I'm a big fan of Aurelia, and I'm certain we will see her here and there, maybe not a staple, but the powerlevel is definitely where it is supposed to be. It's the kind of card that will push you over the top. Borborygmous seems really good for reanimator, I'm definite we will see him played in those kinds of decks. Not a auto 4-of like AoS is, but 3-1 maybe.
Dimir is really bad. Relying on your opponent's deck to make him good is a no-no.
He's a bit of a wildcard but "really bad" is really pushing it. If the opponent loses a 4/4 he becomes a 4/4 hexproof for four, that's definitely not bad.
I think Aurellia and Obezedat are better than most of the RTR guild leaders, at least for Standard. The Dimir guy has potential, but we have to see what other cards get spoiled. Borbogymous has potential for reanimator, but it seems like that deck has gone down in popularity, so I don't know if he'll actually see any play or not.
Ghost Council will not completely change the format, he will be a good finisher in Esper Control, but Esper would have been solid without him, would just use a different finisher. However, I am considering an Esper creature-based attack strategy(which just seems weird). Ghost Council and Geist of St. Traft are both very powerful attackers. All three guilds for the color work well with it. Azorius had lots of tempo cards, Cipher encourages a creatures-attacking strategy, and Orzhov seems to like good value creatures(the high priest won't necessarily be in this deck, but he's a good example.
Sorry for getting off-topic, my real point is that while Ghost Council's impact on Standard will likely just be a good finisher for Esper Control, he could make the deck I was suggesting possible(without him it wouldn't be powerful enough), and if it becomes teir 1 it would be because of him, so it would be a big impact.

Giddeon = Goku SSJ
Rakdos has seen a large amount of play in modern.
Niv_mizzet dominates games you untap with him. Still my favorite finisher in grixis control.
Trostani is probably the worst. Too slow, too much mana, and too many board wipes in standard.
Jarad is fine but no real deck forhim to go in. B/G is not answering things well enough to make a strong standard deck.
Dimir is really bad. Relying on your opponent's deck to make him good is a no-no.
Ghost Counsil will be the best out of all of them. After testing him he is going to completely change the format.
Aurelia is a game ender. Question is what is going to be with her because she cannot do it alone.
Borborgomius will be insane in reanimator. He will get played across multiple formats.
