Grove Guardian the last that spits out 8/8 GW vigilance tokens that plus the cheap populate cards like the populate fog. Hands down best card was rootbound defense so good I love it O hay i'll kill your 8/8 i'm like ok buddy ill keep that one and make another
In my first flight I went 5-2 with Rakdos. Both losses were to Golgari. One with a 5/5 Daggerdrome Imp and the other to mana screw. Some of my all-stars for that flight were, unsurprisingly, Stab Wound and Hellhole Flailer

I'm surprised to see so many people list rares. They're always so bad. But seriously, of course your rares were great. What commons and uncommons were better than you thought, etc. Much more helpful in this kind of a thread.

I actually got a ton of mileage out of Launch Party. I didn't have much in the way of large or even middling creatures. Tossing one of my wimps to kill an 8/8 token or really anything dangerous plus dealing 2 wasn't a bad deal at all.
I didn't play at the Prerelease, but as I'm a beta tester from Magic Online, I managed to play for the first time with Pack Rat yesterday, and boy what a card! Probably the strongest card in limited.
I saw so many two-for-one massive tempo swings from Trostani's Judgement. What a card. In fact, it bothers me that it is, in many senses, better than black's 6 CMC removal. I guess the perk to black's 6 CMC removal is more universal, but less useful in the late game.
I second Pack Rat. Well two-hundred-and-second it. I think it is by far the strongest MVP for me and anyone else able to use it.
I easily won every game that I was able to drop it on turn 2 or 3, and it won the game all by itself with no other card besides land being played.
My other MVP was Rakdos. Rakdos was insane. Turn 4 most of the time they couldn't block everything or chose not to lose their creatures and I dropped Rakdos (usually for the win). Many times he also brought out the Rakdos promo turn 5 for only 2 mana.
Desecration Demon. This guy is absolutely insane, esp. if he comes down on turn 4. He just chews up the opponent's board and they die.
I'll be honest it was near impossible for me to deal with T4 demon in limited...he is a bomby bomb of bombs... Even with good removal, if he hits sits for a turn on the board he at least eats a dude and you still haven't gotten rid of him

Codex Shredder. I'm not even kidding. That sucker helped me break a stalemate in an Azorius mirror match, fetched back one of my two bombs, and even got rid of a game-changing topdeck (opponent groaned when his Trostani's Judgment hit the graveyard).
I'll admit that last bit was an insane bit of luck, but when your opponents are packing a lot of singletons in their decks, a free mill per turn can get bonkers.
My MVP was indisputably Nivmagus Elemental. A 1/2 for either one of my colors was really solid already, and eating up a spell I had no immediate use for always helped a ton. It didn't hurt that I pulled three of them, and I don't think I had a single opening hand without one.

Someday, I will own all of the dragons. All of them. 43/111, approximately 39% complete. Over a third done.

In my 2nd flight I picked Selesnya and ended up playing a ridiculously awesome 5 color deck with 3 Transguild Promenade, 2 Axebane Guardian & Mana Bloom. That let me play 2x Auger Spree, Mizzium Mortars & Supreme Verdict. Some of my common/uncommon all-stars in that event were Thoughtflare, Coursers' Accord and Axebane Guardian.
I finished 4-1 with that deck. My only loss was to an Izzet player that suited up a Splatter Thug with Pursuit of Flight. I had two separate answers in Sundering Growth and Trostani's Judgment but they both got countered with Cancel and Mizzium Skin, respectively.

Well, Trostani's Judgment and Essence Backlash did a lot of work for me.
Inaction Injunction was surprisingly good.
Seller of Songbirds (w/populate) pretty much won me most of my games.
