Why would you want this in control? It's overload effect costs 4, and with that mana you could cast Supreme Verdict. Feeling of Dread is a better stalling tool.

Feeling of dread won't ALWAYS be a better choice... but I agree... for the four mana version I might only play it as a 1-2 of. I like that it can be played early in a pinch if they have a strong start though... Options are never a bad thing.
It's certainly no Cryptic Command, but... well... ok, it just seems mediocre to me.
Remember that you would have to tap their guys precombat against aggro. This isn't a spell you can fire off on the end step for much value in a control build. Of all the great overload spells, this one seems to be the junkiest. It just doesn't do enough in constructed. Tapping one guy for one mana is not worth it unless you get a card back or some other kind of value. Cryptic's modes of "Tap your dudes, then bounce your land/counter/draw" was pretty awesome. Losing the modes makes it pretty bad, actually.
Sleep gives you a chance to swing unblocked twice whereas this is only once
Seriously why don't more decks use Sleep
True, and I do love that about sleep, but in a standard with plenty of detain running around, I don't think I'll be too worried about swinging unblocked.

I didn't say feeling of dread was strictly better, I said feeling of dread was a better stalling tool, and it is. It taps twice as many creatures as the not overloaded and its usable twice. Its mana cost allows you to not have any pressure (barring Geist of hexproof) for turn 2 and 3, after which you have 4 mana and can supreme verdict their ass. At 4 mana, it's better to destroy their creatures in an uncounterable fashion, rather than keep tapping them.
If you want to go ahead and play this card, I won't stop you. But you're playing it for what? A 4 mana fog? One might argue that Feeling of dread is a 2 mana semi-fog. However, it has flashback and its mana cost is much better. If you're playing it in the hope of counterattacking and negating their block, Sleep will do it better, as it lasts 2 turns.
People need to freaking learn what "strictly better" means. I swear people drop the stupid phrase left and right and, to quote the words of Iningo Montolla, "I don't think that word means what you think it means"
Does it have a little more versatility? Yes. But is it better or just as good in every single instance? No.
*endrant*
Ok over all, this card is meh. Could be fun with tamiyo but all and all, I see this being played more in azorious and with Izzet.

Tap target creature you don't control.
Overload :3mana::symu:
Gotta say, this guy is just better than sleep. No doubt I'll be playing it in my UW control build.

EDIT: Oh, and it's good against control and aggro. Win win.

^This basically. That ability to swing twice will matter if delver has a build in RTR.
