I'm definitely going to be looking at UW for block constructed after seeing this card. Nice, nice card. Not sure about Standard, but this will be solid in block.

Good lord. At this point, is there any reason to run anything other than U/W? Glad I ordered a pair of Geist of Saint Traft already, because the best deck just got even better.
Of course, Drogskol himself doesn't have hexproof, and that's relevant, but this is still an A+ card which we'll be seeing a lot of in Standard.
Do you think it's really that viable in the deck? It's taking up a clunky 3 spot against swords / geist. I don't feel it's going to push that deck much further...
Momir Vig, Simic Visionary
Melek, Izzet Paragon
Oona, Queen of the Fae
Bruna, Light of Alabaster
Gisela, Blade of Goldnight
Rhys the Redeemed
Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord

With the spirits we have available it would most likely be all tokens it is helping out. Though the Niblis of the Urn seems like a good spirit as well. Otherwise Geist of Saint Traft, spectral rider, Shiekgeist and mindshrieker are the only other cheap spirits lying around with DKA in standard. Midnight haunting, geist honored monk and doomed traveler as the real efficient ways to poop out spirit tokens alongside the new lingering souls we got. Hmm...This just might be a deck considering the lord himself is flying and once you have two on the field at once....oh boy
The three mana spot is extremely crowded. The two big token producer spells, Midnight Haunting and Linger Souls cost 3; and the big dude Geist of Saint Traft costs 3 as well. I am not sure the lord is going to be good enough.

Oh absolutley. Moorland haunt was crazy when it was only making 1/1 fliers and now they get to be 2/2's with no fear of being killed when they go to equip. I'd probably run him as a 2-3 of. He's VERY powerful. Good time to be a U/W player.
EDIT: comepletely missed that he has flying! Really excited for this guy. Plus the art is amazing as well.
2 Geist, 2 Drogskol. Remember, you can have Geist and Drogskol on the board together and Geist gets pumped up. Two Drogskol, and they pump each other plus hexproof. Can't have two Geists, and Drogskol doesn't die to Phantasmal Image. Honestly, this guy might be better than the Geist, though I'm not sure I'd go that far. I wouldn't be surprised to see a list that cuts Geist outright for four of this guy because he's good in multiples.
This card is going to be ridiculous in the decks that want it. It makes Moorland Haunt insane, it's going to make Geist of Saint Traft a 3/3 (or more, depending on how many of these are in play). Geist was already really, really powerful. Now... Well...

Spirits have some of the best cards, but they aren't especially deep in creatures. Tribal decks like to swarm creatures early, so that is a bit of a strike against him. Still, in a UW deck that splashes black for Lingering Souls could be pretty powerful.

Tribal decks don't always like to swarm early, take Faeries for instance. Plus, they had a guy called Scion of Oona, who is reminiscent of this card. Scion and Faeries are clearly better, but still.
This card strikes me as good, but not that great. If you're playing this in UW delver/humans, you're paying for a 2/2 flier that likely isn't going to do a thing for a while. and by the time moorland haunt is online and you're ready to start getting value from it, your opponent has probably found an answer for it. This is much more interesting in limited, given all the spirits we've gotten in this set.
This guy is a beast. He needs to be removed immediately or his presence on the board is pretty disgusting. Follwing him up with a Phant Image is also a great play, esp on T5. All your spirits get +2/+2 and have hexproof, including the two lords? Ouch.

T4 Lingering/Honor of the Pure
T5 Drog Captain/Phant Image, attack with your 4 4/4 flying hexproof spirits.. ouch.
Take your monoblack deck, then set aside 14 swamps. Add 4 Creeping Tar Pits, 4 Darkslick Shores, 4 Drowned Catacombs, and 2 Jwar isle Refuge and add 4 Jace, the Mindsculptors. Your monoblack deck is instantly better. Better yet, drop those refuges, throw in some islands and some mana leaks, and lo and behold, you're now playing a real deck. Congratulations. Welcome to the world of competitive M:TG.

Other Spirit Creatures you control gain +1+1 and Hexproof
This card seems EXTREMELY good. All of the sudden Moorland Haunt is beyond good, along with the spirit token producing cards.

Agreed. If any deck needed a boost, it certainly wasn't in the colors of U/W...
