Alright, so with the announcement of SmallPox being revealed, I think it's time we decide how to change decks around and make room for a few cards.
For new discard cards, we have SmallPox which can totally hose ramp decks on T2 consistently. I already see it being pretty powerful and in our favor. Even in later use it will still be pretty good especially if we have a zombie making Grave Titan available for us.
*Smallpox
bb
Sorcery Uncommon
Each player loses 1 life, discards a card, sacrifices a creature, then sacrifices a land
Also have Distress which is another BB caster but discards ANY nonland card, which leaves us open with more options.
Not entirely sure how I feel about Sorin's Thirst.. deal 2 damage and gain 2 life, I see it good early on, but later it only keeps us alive a little more.
Sorin's Thirst
bb
Instant Common
Sorin's Thirst deals 2 damage to target creature and you gain 2 life.
But another more unique card that can be combo'd around SmallPox would be Vengeful Pharoah (Bloodghast is going to rotate soon whether people want it too or not.. lol)
Vengeful Pharaoh
2bbb
Creature - Zombie Rare
Deathtouch
Whenever combat damage is dealt to your or a planeswalker you control, if Vengeful Pharaoh is in your graveyard, destroy target attacking creature, then put Vengeful Pharaoh on top of your library.
So, at the moment these are the cards that stand out for those who are a fan of MBC. The question is, what do we replace, or are cards like VP even worth using right now. Let the discussion begin! =D

How is sorin's thirst really better than any of a number of good 2cc instant speed removal options the deck has now? It feels like the life gain is a pretty small bonus for a spell that can only kill 2 toughness creatures.

Yea, that's how I feel.. but sometimes people like that little extra life gain, you never know. It's practically just an extra option, not necessarily one I expect people to take on, but it was given to us. The biggest difference on it though is that it doesn't care if the creature's nonblack/nonartifact, but it only working on small creatures is the big downside.

My MBC deck hasn't had anything to add yet. Smallpox is better suited for a deck with cards like Bloodghast, which is not a card that MBS should be playing.
Sorin's thirst is kinda janky when you have Geth's Verdict.
I'd say Rune Scarred Demon should be in your list, however unless there is some serious acceleration for black, *coughcabalcoffersdarkritualcough*, it will be too expensive to see play.
I remembered I used it as tech back vs rebels when I played my MBC Wumpus deck. Unless T2 sees Rebels again, I can really see no point to use it.
Don't get me wrong, I do love the thirst. Vicious Hunger was probably one of my favorite funtime cards right behind Pestilence. However, a BB creature kill spell that probably won't kill what you need it to is not a great card.
Come on wizards! Give me arena and coffers. I want to make MBC with RSDemon!!!
you know we did get Simulacrum reprinted which is great for ramping into big spells, and with sphere we can t4 a grave titan or Sorin, then bring the pain with Sorin's Vengeance, MOST BANANAS SPELL EVER!
7 mana for 20 life swing? MBC is going big or going home.

Consume Spirit is a lot better then Vengeance in my opinion, sure it costs 2 more to do the same damage, but it's more versatile, and it's scaleable, so instead of bringing someone down to 2 life, you can just kill them instead.
i was implying you already used Sorin's -2 to bring them to 10, then play vengeance on turn 7 for the kill. Consumed Spirit is good though, I'm glad we have that back
