Hey guys,
does any one have any idea if “hammer” holds any significance?
because you have Koth of the Hammer which means koth is something relating to the hammer, guardian maybe? and both Koth and Hammer are capitalised like pronouns.
also in the Goblin Gaveleer in his flavour it mentions the "hammer".
then on the rusted relic in the flavour there is the hammer tribe mentioned.
surely there is significance to the hammer.
Is the hammer tribe something assigned to protect the lands of an ancient artifact of power? Is koth the guardian that must be passed to get the hammer? Is the hammer the solution to many problems? e.g beating back pherixia or conquering mirrodin
Im just throwing possible ideas out. Whats your guys thoughts?
1) Vulshok tribe labelled so because their preferred weapon is a hammer
2) The Hammer is a new location on Mirrodin
3) They are worshipping Loxodon Warhammer or a functional reprint

I's a classic blacksmith tool. Hammer a piece of metal and it becomes stronger. This is called work hardening. (This works with anything done to a piece of metal, once you bend it, it's harder to bend back for example.)
The Hammer clan is either a clan of artificers who are either blacksmiths, or are trying to strengthen Mirrodin against the coming darkness.

4) It refers to a functional reprint of the Hammer of Bogardan that's actually worth playing?
I do believe it's just Koth's title as a Vulshok. His tribe, the Vulshoks, are well-known blacksmiths on the Oxidda Chain. The chain is a mountain range that is, of course close to the Great Furnace.

In this case, it is because I believe "The Hammer" is in the same line as "Knight Errant" or "The Seeker" or "The Mindsculptor."
