8-Umezawa's Jitte
2 and then 2 for equip is a low price for any decent equipment, and this thing is ridiculous. Each time the equipped creature deals damage, you can give it +4/+4 next time, -2/-2(!) something, or gain 4 life, or mix and match.
Hehe, now that you have seen the set in action I believe this could be registered as number 1 from now on

As cool as the jitte is I dont think it will make of a difference in standard. It only fits into the white weenie build. You rather drop a SPC or mabe 2 more flyers. The only good eqquipment for a WW deck is bonesplitter and thenewone that equipts for 0
Jitte all the way baby. It doesn't just fit into WW builds sir. White Weenie does also get to use Skirmisher now for it's double strikedness. I like Jitte in black because of Thosi himself. Swinging with the guy getting counters. Kill creatures get an instant back. Swing again.
Skirmisher says Vial out and equip the Jitte then the Lightning Greaves (so it can't be randomly killed) then swing for 2. Next turn swing for 5 the first time then 9 more on regular damage. Good stuff.
A lot of hype around this card, most of which makes no sense. It's obviously no Force of Will, but it is still a very good counter and one that can come in handy more often than you think. People get too caught up in the Force of Will argument to see that it's just a solid counter.
9. Crack the Earth
I also really like this card. First turn drop in a lot of decks it is really solid, especially against b/g, etc. If it finds the right kind of deck, I think it could be great for mono red.
8. God's Eye, Gate to the Reikai
This is one of my personal favorites, a land that permanently can turn into a creature. Makes great combos with Crucible of Worlds/Braids, Cabal Minion or Smokestack, and is also surprisingly good in Sligh decks, where sacrificing land drawbacks become 1/1 Spirit Tokens instead.
7. Matsu-Tribe Sniper
This card won't come anywhere near Standard play, but in Extended and Legacy it is surprisingly good. In Extended it can be used in Reanimator to shut down opposing Akromas and Rorixes, and in Legacy to take out Exalted Angels and Madness creatures with Wonder in the graveyard. A card that doesn't look like much, but is really good.
6. Sickening Shoal
Free removal is pretty good most of the time, and Sickening Shoal is going to be great in mono black decks, and also maybe even in b/g control. Just a solid card with a very good effect.
5. Terashi's Grasp
A surprisingly good Disenchant variant, for one additional colorless mana, you get to pick up a major life boost. Could be white weenie's answer to any artifacts in their way.
4. Isao, Enlightened Bushi
A great beater, Bushido and uncounterabiltiy makes him a house against a lot of decks. I consider Troll Ascetic better, but both are very good cheap creature beats for green.
3. Kira, Great Glass Spinner
I really like this card. A lot. It's great for blue flying decks to combat decks like sligh, for three mana it's a 2/2 flyer that basically makes all of your creatures untargetable. Great card for blue aggro decks.
2. Shining Shoal
A terrific card for white, the ability to redirect damage to any target you choose can be lethal, without a doubt the best of the shoals, if not the best card in the set.
1. Umezawa's Jitte
This card is ridonkulous. In Legacy and Type 2, where there's plenty of Weenie decks, this card is borderline insanity. The only thing that makes it not quite as good is the legendary status, but it is still a huge card, it can eliminate weenies, slow down aggro, or quickly kill control. Versatile, and solid, the best equipment card yet.
Squirrel - God's Eye/Crucible by itself can be a pretty nifty combo with some land searching/placing going on, possibly an Azusa, remember that Legendary x2 = destroyed.
Hell, might even with a little thought be worthwhile to look at for a real build...
God's Eyes, Crucible, Crack the Earth, Azusa, Zo-Zu some Goheis and other odds and ends seems like it could be the start of something fun....

Don't forget the Akki Blizzard Herder and Avalanchers sir.
Most of you seem to be missing Tendo's Ice Bridge. In my opinion, that is one of the best cards from Betrayers of Kamigawa.
I think the Ice Bridge is an awful card. It's good for all of one turn, then you're screwed with a crappy colorless land the whole time. If anyone uses it for mana fixing, they're an idiot, I consider it one of the worst non basic lands ever printed.
K. I guess here's as many Betrayers cards that I can remember. Once i am done with my Card by Card evaluation of them I'll have a better answer. So far these are the ones I love
Sickening Shoal
Goryo's Vengeance (Because it combos with a control based deck and the card below)
Slumbering Tora (it's no Chimeric Idol, but it could be!)
Final Judgment (no wrath. good still.)
Toshiro Umezawa (He's good. What can I say? The trick is to control your opponent's creatures going to the yard with splicable effects. if you have a NOSB on the board then you can splice easily with Forbidden Orchard killing your opponent with Glacial rays and Ire of Kaminari)
Umezawa's Jitte (Ah so. The most beautiful piece of equipment since Skullclamp. This puppy is broken. For now. I figure it will be good enough for a lot of decks but because it is legendary it won't be hard to disrupt it. There should also be spots in boards or mains for at least one set of Artifact/enchantment removal. It might not be 8 - 12 spots but 4 is still enough to counterbalance this guy. Perhaps he will be better in block than standard)
Fumiko the Lowblodd (She seems like she should use Jitte too since she can block do some damage and force all your opponent's creatures to be tapped on your turn. She is always at least bushido 1.)
Ye Olde Genju Cycle. I like the Red and Green ones. I also really like the blue one, but not for a control deck. More of a Flying blue deck.
1. Flames of the Blood hand - Pulse? NO! When has a red player ever been able to say NO? 2. Iwamori of the open fist - OMFG Broken 3. Kira, Great-Glass Spinner - too good, even without effecting your other creatures 4. Genju of the Falls - so freaking good in MonoU 5. Umezawa's Jitte - I had to mention this to show that I am sane 6. Isao, Enlightened Bushi - there's a new troll in town 7. Sickening Shoal - Creature kill for free?) 8. Yukoro, the Prisoner - As if Kokusho isn't good enough! 9. Goryo's Vengeance - Gifts Ungiven, Anyone? 10. Ogre Marauder - best 3-drop in limited in a while

Ogre Marauder seems sooooo good. He seems to work well with Ninjas and Demons and ... well any black deck that wants to wreck the opponent. Basically Ogre Marauder says when he attacks "I either bolt you OR Edict you and bolt a creature."
I like cards that affect board position while at the same time get you closer to the goal of reducing your opponent's life to 0
I have a new top 5 list:
1. Patron of the Moon: This card is so cool. I've even started collecting these things for no apparant reason. I currently have 5. =D
2. Frostling: Like Mogg Fanatic.
3. Kami of False Hope: A white Spore Frog.
4. Soratami Mindsweeper: I'm gonna find a way to break this card. Perhaps a Moonfolk Arcane deck with Dampen thought...
5. Genju of the Fens: Although I don't own any of these myself, I know someone who has a foil playset of them. And boy, are they annoying.
