Some of these designs are simpler than expected, and I mean that as a compliment. There is a refreshingly low level of complexity on display here.
EDIT: The translator left out Cloud and Sephiroth.
Cloud is 3RW for a 4/4 Human Soldier Mercenary with "During your turn, when Cloud is equipped, he has double strike and indestructible" and "equips cost 2 less when targeting cloud"
Sephiroth is 4UW for a 4/4 Human Soldier Avatar with vigilance, -2/-2 to the board when it enters, and when an opponents creature dies put a +1/+1 counter on him.
Cloud and Sephiroth were already known. One card that was left from the translations is Treno, City That Never Sleeps (U/B city, similar to Rabanastre).
Also, there was a translation mistake with Laguna's Dream -- it's surveil, not scry.
OMG they went ahead and did it, you can suplex a mf'ing train. Too bad some of these cards may not appear in the main set, Ultimecia looks like a certified Limited bomb, same for Seymour Flux.
And the flavor text on Relm's Drawing is such a nice touch, it's the introduction text you see when she's first introduced in FFVI.
I have to say the way they implemented the job system is so elegant, they repurposed the Germ/For Mirrodin! mechanic and it feels like a perfect fit.
I definitely should take any job before the set releases, because I'm probably gonna spend more than expected on it, oh well, the Spider-Man set doesn't interest me at all so it will balance the spending out.
I gotta say I'm not a fan of Universes Beyond at all, I really think Wizards should be reinvesting in making their own IP awesome and top-tier. Give us 3 set blocks with coherent stories and abilities, and make it take a year to go on the journey. It was such a satisfying way to experience the game VS today's 1 set every month pace. That being said I'm a huge fan of the classic FF games, and I think they're knocking it out of the park with this set so far. I have a poster on my wall of Sabin suplexing the Ghost Train, I really hope that card has some kind of alternate frame treatment. The mountains are especially great here too, I love the holy mountain from FF4, very iconic setting with the back attack boss fight. The FF6 mountain is difficult to ascertain the specific setting, is it Daryl's Tomb? I'll happily snag up the set of Commander decks and possibly a few draft boxes.

I couldn't agree more with you, also, I'd say the FFVI mountain is either the mountain with the gate to the Esper world based on the shape, or maybe Mt. Koltz, Daryl's Tomb isn't located on a mountain, it sits fairly low to the ground.

Choose a Job is a nice callback to FF1 and the Job systems felt in 3,5 and beyond. Nice to see Sabin Suplexing a train getting its own card. That Ultima Weapon seems only okay hopefully the main set one will be more powerful. Ragnarok/Ultima Weapon is usually the strongest in the game. They could also do Adamant Armor like Darksteel Plate I guess.
