From preview art we saw 5 figures (which looks to be the commanders) seeming doing a spell and/or ritual to a dragonstorm that birthed the dragons we see on the precons. My guess has been the clans somehow made these new dragons as allies to fight against the other dragon lord.
Also guessed from MoM that we will see dragon riders so I'm betting these will have parter with so you can have the rider and dragon as commanders.

I'm glad they did all five clans, because leaving one out of the precons feels wrong. But could someone explain to me what's happened with Tarkir. Last I'd heard, after Sarkhan's stunt they were no more and the plane was ruled by the allied colored dragons.

Neither Tasha nor xanathar wasn't in Gonti, Canny Acquisitor Precon
so people may want to get Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm while you can, since safe bet it won’t be a reprint.
