Before previews for Aetherdrift officially begin, I thought it would be fun to do another of my Duelist-style teasers where I give tiny hints of things to come. Note that I’m only giving you partial information.
First up, here are some things you can expect:

Next, here are some rules text that will be showing up on cards:

• “Whenever you draw a card, each opponent mills two cards.”
• “Other Dinosaurs you control get +1/+1.”
• “Whenever a player casts a spell they don’t own,”
• “{T}: Add {R} for each Goblin you control.”
• “During turns other than yours, this Vehicle is an artifact creature.”
• “Whenever you activate an exhaust ability, draw a card.”
• “Put any number of permanent cards from your hand onto the battlefield.”
• “Whenever you attack, if a Pirate and a Vehicle attacked this combat,”

Also, Truck Stop Breakfast, a food artifact that costs 1 to play but gives you a poison counter when it ETBs.
In seriousness though, I ended up enjoying Neon Dynasty so hopefully this will be a fun blip and we can all enjoy it for a couple of months before returning to more familiar tropes.
Likely a mechanical rift on the card Start Your Engines we saw in Kaladesh.

13/13 Vehicle with Crew 2 that costs one mana to cast
oh I know what this is it’s a reference to Consulate Dreadnought and not make the same mistake to last time with the accidental reference in the P/T
Mechanic called Start your engines!
I can't wait to see the pessimistic players on the web react to this mechanic, anyway it could be a mechanic that involves crewing several vehicles at once/animating them.
Three planeswalker native to one of the worlds visited, and one non-native, gets a desparked legendary creature version
we already know it’s Avishkar because of chandra
Cycle of vanilla legendary creatures
THEY ARE GONNA DO REFERENCES TO VANILLA MATTERS IN MURAGANDA!
Cat and Dog Mounts
There it is! Mounts was infact foreshadowed from thunder junction plus happy days for Rin and Seri, Inseparable
An old God returns and new Gods are introduced
Maro I have told so many times to not do this. “Do not do teasers of Stuff we Already know!”
Thats hazoret and the lion god (okerta's son) and the frog god and maybe two more just to fill the blanks for the cycle.
Now that we have seals, I wonder if they errata the selkies in Shadowmoor into Seal <class> or Seal Merfolk <class>. Especially since Lorwyn is coming up soon.
But I would like to see Solemn get updated to Construct Robot for everyone calling it Sad Robot.
still counts as becoming official for the first time since that’s technically a Un world (so outside silver/acorn border and Universe beyond)
with the “Robot” errata that would have happened ages ago but I suppose they could start digging now that we have a universe within robots now (again I thought it would be edge of eternities)
question is, is it bad news for “construct” type most likely no it’s likely not the same situation as “naga/snake”, “hound/dog” and “viashino/lizard”
• Three planeswalker native to one of the worlds visited, and one non-native, gets a desparked legendary creature version
Most terribly worded clue, because the stories so far indicate that we likely won't get three planeswalkers native to one of the worlds visited, but rather a planeswalker native to each world visited.
I would say those five are Muragandan, but it's a curious choice either way. Does the set lend itself to vanilla creatures? Are these more likely to crew/mount? With the insistence that "vanilla matters" is a bad theme (and I agree) this is unexpected. There is so far no indication that there is a mechanic that would help with "vanilla matters".
I don't expect anything not already mentioned in the PWG. Hazoret and the new Gods of Amonkhet. The use of the indefinite article makes it seem like the Bug-type gods will not reveive new cards. I'm looking forward to Sab-Sunen a little more than Ketramose.
• “Whenever you activate an exhaust ability, draw a card.”
I half expect exhaust to be a variant of exert that uses stun counters, but the way exert was worded you wouldn't call it an "exert ability", so maybe something else is going on.
• “Creatures you control have base power and toughness 6/6 and are Oozes in addition to their other types.”
Happy to see more Ooze. And nothing but Ooze.
• Creature – Seal Pirate
We get Seal in addition to Walrus? That kinda sucks. Now I want Cephalids back even more.
• Creature – Lizard Berserker
Viashino!
• Creature – Insect Archer
Natuko!
• Creature – Kor Pilot
Pilots will be good at crewing Vehicles, but will they be also good at mounting Mounts?
• Artifact Creature – Robot Turtle
Good to know Vehicle set has room for normal artifact creatures.
• Creature – Ape Druid
Known from PWG.
• Creature – Zombie Cat Knight
I... there were no Cat people on Amonkhet, right? Sounds like an embalmed person.
• Creature – Vedalken Ranger
Neat. Rangers might be to Mounts what Pilots are to Vehicles.
• Creature – Dinosaur Dragon Mount
Dinosaur and Dragon are kinda redundant unless you go hard on the Dinosaur angle... triceratops dragon!
• Legendary Creature – Aetherborn Rogue
Who could it be? Gonti meaningfully left for Thunder Junction, so just bringing them back here would be really de-value that, right? It's Gonti.
• Adrenaline Jockey
• Flood the Engine
• Gas Guzzler
• Maximum Overdrive
• Pedal to the Metal
• Road Rage
• Roadside Assistance
• The Speed Demon
• Spin Out
• Syphon Fuel
I want the name of the food-peddling construct. We already know there will be race car references.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.
[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
I think I've learned to treat Magic cards like baseball cards: keep 'em in a binder in numerical order, don't play with 'em, try to finish the set and just keep my head down.
• Three planeswalker native to one of the worlds visited, and one non-native, gets a desparked legendary creature version
Most terribly worded clue, because the stories so far indicate that we likely won't get three planeswalkers native to one of the worlds visited, but rather a planeswalker native to each world visited.
Actually, Maro's original wording is starting to make sense with a guess slew of Basri/Samut/...uh oh, I'm out of ideas.../Vraska. Arguably beats having no idea who the Muragandan planeswalker is and Saheeli needing great Omenpaths to travel to the Grand Prix!

We have already seen Daretti months ago, we aren't getting Vraska.

"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
Likewise. It's unrecognizable to me. And unappealing.
In your case I totally get it and I sincerely hope that the Oceans of Muraganda host a giant squid or crab that sparks some joy for you. Or maybe the seals will bring a smile
Hopefully we will return to Theros at some point and give you lots of yummy things to enjoy.
Based on interpretations of the planeswalker clue, I'm wondering if the Aetherspark is one of those planeswalkers (and is treated as a native of Avishkar).
Likewise. It's unrecognizable to me. And unappealing.
Detective world (everyone has a fedora!), western world (cowboy hat!), and now race world (everything is a car pun!) is just really taking a lot out of me. It feels like three Capennas in a year.
And I appreciate returns to two cool worlds and and an intro to another, but mashing them all into one set basically ensures that none will get enough attention and I imagine the overall flavor of the set will be muddled as a result - only tied together by “everything is a car/race joke” which is lame.
I expect the exhaust mechanic to simply be an activated ability that puts a stun counter as part of its activation cost. OTOH, this would be a very poor mechanic since it would take your creature out of commission for an entire extra turn, so the effect would need to be overly pushed to be worth it... meaning it would have the potential of being broken. So, I guess, I hope I'm wrong?

oh hohoho I always get goose bumps for new lotus's my favorites is lotus field and timeless lotus
please do not be mono U so this can’t be in Bruvac the Grandiloquent
aaaaaaaaaaand Gishath, Sun's Avatar and Pantlaza, Sun-Favored are infact gonna get new toys from Muraganda part of the plane
theres a gonti 3.0 coming and both times before were theft related
hold on! Hold on! There can easily be a immense draw back or be a 12 value or higher
let’s see if pirate kindred likes this or not since it will easily be within grixis colors
It’s from the muraganda side if this is a legendary let’s see if we get are ooze kindred legend
THATS ANOTHER CREATURE TYPE FOR CHANGELINGS!!! We got seals now
OH HO!!! Robot's are canon in the magic universe now!
Based on Bonehoard Dracosaur this is probably gonna be Quetzalcoatlus
Again… Gonti 3.0
To be accurate, robots were technically canon from Unfinity with the likes of Ticketomaton, Non-Human Cannonball and Celebr-8000
But I would like to see Solemn get updated to Construct Robot for everyone calling it Sad Robot.
It's a Green Artifact Creature - Goblin Vehicle that can crew itself.

You cant see it, but I'm giving you a standing ovation for this comment.
Outstanding work.
Phyrexian Dreadnought reference? "As an additional cost to cast this spell, sacrifice creatures and/or Vehicles with total power 13"
Start your Engines

There is a lot of lotus imagery for Amonkhet, so this is kinda expected. I hope, it's a Lotus Emeya.
Expected from the PWG art.
Could it be? A Vehicle with eternalize?
So far we had 5/5s with crew 3 named Zeppelin. Plenty of other options.
And it will have 0 power.
This ability triggers only every other turn.
I'm gonna place my bet on this being on a sapient Dinosaur.
About time.
Priest of Titania
Plus prohibitively high crew cost.
I half expect exhaust to be a variant of exert that uses stun counters, but the way exert was worded you wouldn't call it an "exert ability", so maybe something else is going on.
At least this time you don't cast them without paying their mana cost!
Kari Zev, Skyship Raider's new card.
Happy to see more Ooze. And nothing but Ooze.

Ketramose WB

it Saids “player” instead of “you”
so this card is gonna have a effect similar to Ian Malcolm, Chaotician
