Man, after all that time avoiding the 1 mana ramp creatures, the 4 mana no downside wraths and the 4 mana no downside reanimators, one set brings them all back and for 5 years no less.

While I may like individual cards, I seem to dislike everything Foundations means on a conceptual level.
This might very well a consequence of their shift towards "designing for eternal".

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.
[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
This koma is actually better than cosmos koma, it has protection from the start and trample, also it create 2x the token basically and not to mention the stats

You're probably right but its a direct consequence of realizing how few people play Standard and, to a degree, Pioneer. People want commander cards and eternal format cards because most people just play kitchen table now.
I know on Arena Standard is by far the most played format but in paper it doesn't seem to go that way at all.
There's also the fact they both combo well together since they make the same tokens. I wish I could say I'll buy one for my leviathan deck, but I expect it to be expensive, at least initially. Maybe in 2-3 months this will go down.
One thing that has not been mentioned related to this foundation set: once the next new set is out, foundation boxes won't be opened much: no more seal or FNM draft, so what about card availability? Sure you can buy booster at any time, but I expect few people will crack much packs after 6 months, let alone, say 3 years. This will be, IMO, the problem and possible downfall of foundation. There is a reason why core set went out each year: that way there was a period each year where they were actively being opened at FNM. Not so with foundation. We will see.

I don't see how it would be a downfall, they're not gonna stop printing them and if prices for the cards are high enough and price for the boxes low enough stores will crack them to sell those singles. If they get rare their price jumps and stores open more boxes. If they're abundant their price drops and stores open less boxes.
I think the original is slightly better because of its versatility, but this is still a powerhouse card. At least they'll be reprinting its token, which is a nightmare to obtain
If they get rare their price jumps and stores open more boxes.
In my experience, local stores don't open much product after the product has been out for a while. Every set has some staple, but the rest ends up being bulk, meaning cracking boxes to fill up on the staples might not be profitable unless their prices are sky-high. If most rares end-up dollar-or-less (which they always do) and are thus already still available as singles (so opening more in boxes is useless for stores) then the dozen of staples will carry the entire price of the box, plus necessary profits for the store.
We will see, but in 3 years, it will be awkward. It will be even more awkward when a new set spikes one particular staple, 3 years down the road. Will store crack boxes for that single card?

I mean the supply of singles will constantly diminish as people buy singles and they're gonna be in standard for five years so you're not gonna have the huge dropoff in sales if they rotated. Supply down price up, keeps the whole thing buoyed.

ward 4, uncounterable, makes 12/12 worth of bodies when it gets, and before you say it has to get threw……… it’s a 8/12 with trample
Simic does simic things
now Not as bad as Og Koma but we still have a cherry on top with reanimate/cheat effects in standard.
(Ps really huge missed opportunity to do compleated koma as the 2.0)

I thought that was the OG Koma until I saw your comment. I doubt it will take over Standard, but it is a beefy control creature.
