So Wizards decided to just roll with it and officially reveal some of the leaks... and toss in a few we haven't seen yet. This thread exists mostly so I can point to somewhere official and also so you can see CLEAR IMAGES and art treatments. Officially previews start May 21, but we're getting some snippets alongside some Eldrazi stories starting May 13.

cthonian nightmare — Alright!!! We get a loophole to unban [card][recurring nightmare/card] now you need the correct amount of E to get the creature back
Ugin's labyrinth — WOW THATS AWESOME! you imprint a giant eldrazi it’s basically Ancient Tomb with no draw back and when its job is done (don’t need the two anymore) you can bring back that card at any time.
Urza's Cave — serious? A three mana Crop rotation on a sac and fetch land?
Wright of the Reliquary — wait is this for real? You can sac creatures to get any land you want?
Spawn gang commander — Omg a red Brood Monitor but better… luckiley made it cast if it was ETB we would have gotten a second way to do the eldrazi displacer dance.
Pheila — oh a corgi legendary I might nickname mine Thor since I have a friend who named their corgi Thor (they marvel fans) any way it’s basically a attack trigger version of Flickerwisp
Heirgast — OH SWEET Emerge is also returning with Devoid (so more of Emrakuls eldritch horror are coming) and this one is just back breaking it gives everybody emerge so this could be immensely powerful in the eldrazi precon. And as for that draw three… easy do when heirgast is the last card in hand (0 cards)
Judo — I cannot say “Kudos” to wizards making this Ayula is still the better bear tribal legend but absolutely perfect 99 for Duskana, the Rage Mother
Orim's Chant — FINALLLY!!! They reprinted this card first offical reprint not the list. I hope the set has a better orim than Orim, Samite Healer
Winter moon oh….noooooooo i am not looking forward to seeing this on EDH tables weaker winter orb it this will still be beyond nasty (and the owner can be evil and make nearly all the lands in their decks basics)

lieutenant — oh that mechanics back and we get it on a slightly worse Siege-Gang Commander
Final act — we did go over this one it just the name now “Final act” not to bad of a name it does fit the farewell naming
March of the Veils veil — whaaaa… you can turn all your lands into a creature? I want to see the looks on players faces when they see me target a creature with “Annihilator” like Flayer of Loyalties
Planar nexus — HEY! That’s very very close to a eternal legal Nearby Planet
Scepter-Chant, Necrodominance, Chthonian Nightmare...Wizards seems determined to turn Modern into Extended of ages past since Pioneer has quite a lot of Modern's old niche as a large Neo format. And I love it.

The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

The first one threw me because it's so obviously a devoid Siege-Gange Commander. I worried until I saw that you do know the card when you referenced it later. Made me laugh.

So how do the commander cards work, are they legal in modern too? If not, why are they released with a modern set?
Those Commander cards are not legal in Modern. MH3 smells an awful lot like a new Standard set, with Commander decks not legal in Standard, Special Guests equivalents, and all.
Hoping we'll be able to complete the Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth land cycle but this time with all lands becoming Islands in addition to its other land types to help facilitate a new Merfolk strategy with Harbinger of the Seas turning all nonbasic lands into Islands which would also work amazing with Stormtide Leviathan and Carpet of Flowers because why not? Too bad there's no functional version of Retreat to Coralhelm outside of Blue that would've been amazing for an Abzan strategy I've been working on for EDH / Commander. I really hate that Wright of the Reliquary only works in Sultai and maybe Golgari? Abzan seems to get the short end of the stick for now unfortunately.

Not where my mind went first. Maybe I'm too literal. Or just tolerate Eldrazi. But the obvious Goblin reference is where my mind went first.
I mean yeah, that's where my mind went first as well. It's obvious low-hanging fruit. The top of Spawn-Gang Commander had been seen in the Equip-0 leaks, and I could immediately tell just from the name and mana cost that it would make three Spawns and probably also throw them for damage, lol. But if Ryperior's mindset was "Eldrazi that makes three tokens," I would have figured that he'd just go for the preexisting 5-drop Eldrazi in red that makes three tokens.

It’s already smells like a fissure like shift in all formats is gonna happen again (in other words 3/3 of warping every format)

were Not at 11 new cards in the eldrazi deck it might be 12

I feel the Article did one card per precon and March from Velis veil is clearly in the simic deck
and the nexus land is a 5-color land with the filter ability and a C for colorless mana pimp spells
Not to mention that the precon might have the Tron lands in it (just like the Commander Masters precon had), which this interacts nicely with.
