Many sets have an overcosted artifact that can destroy any nonland permanent for Limited. This one can't touch enchantments or planeswalkers (or battles that are no in this set), but for 1 more it will destroy up tp three different things instead.
This would have been silly in Brother's War with all those Powerstone tokens running around. Here, definitely worth it in Sealed and will probably make the cut in Draft as well, paying 6 to blow up a creature is acceptable, and the land is just icing on the cake. You're not guaranteed to hit an artifact and that's it.
