The official start of the Outlaws of Thunder Junction starts around a minute after this post goes up. As always, this thread will be updated as new cards are shown.
The aversion to guns and like the use of weird halo 2 looking energy sword plasma rifle contraptions in this is goofy looking as hell. I'm not talking about Kellan's "not a halo two sword" daggers but like the annie flash thing and the one on crack shot and some other art.
I'll say this once and be done with it. Wild West setting with no guns, but Halo energy swords is completely ******* ridiculous. Come the **** on wizards.
Couple of interesting cards though. Mostly excited to see the Gonti deck.
Of note: This isn't a change to the 1 planeswalker per set design. The Jace card was originally made for the Epilogue mini-set for Outlaws that was planned and was cut and they decided it would fit best in the main set vs on the BIG bonus sheet.
“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
Between the big score and the vault of whatever and the special guests, it's a bit confusing where these reprints are coming from and where they're going.
Plot seems like a fine mechanic, but it doesn't seem that useful on the card they revealed it on. Makes more sense on stuff like Jace. Digging the Serra Avenger drawback. But they didn't put reminder text on him. Thanks for another card with a random ass keyword that'll never come back and doesn't say what it does. Guess I'll never use that card. Jace is half Ashiok now? Well that can't be anything but an improvement.
Saddle seems lame, and crime seems like something that didn't need a mechanic based around it. EDIT: I forgot Spree, and it seems like a really cool mechanic.
The cowboy hats on everyone is silly and annoying, just like the dumb hats in Murders at Karlov Manor (Agency Outfitter being probably the most absurd). But aside from certain fashion choices, I kinda dig the high-fantasy wild-west thing they've got going on. I've never seen an interpretation quite so high-fantasy.
And as many have commented, the mishmash of random legends feels odd and forced. Gonti is aetherborn, so shouldn't they be dead by now? Don't they live like a year tops or something?
Not sure what is the point of a hasty creature with a plot cost the same as its mana cost. The only point, I guess, is to load up on plotted creatures, wrath the board and then fill it?
Spree looks /very/ good. It fixes all the problems of modal, kicker, fuse, entwine... because each mode cost can be tweaked.
That UR commander can copy indefinitely a twiddle when cast 3rd or more. Just target her with the copy and copy again. Definitely goes into my copy spells commander.

Gonti has an artificial heart Saheeli had to fix at one point. Some other Aetherborn can suck out life essence from others and extend their lives by hours at a time. (A lot of those Aetherborn vampires still want to die once their maybe-4-years lifespan is up, such as Yahenni, who eventually kicked the bucket on their own terms.)

Jace has been disguising himself as Ashiok since the Wilds of Eldraine epilogue.

He’s alive because of Gonti's Aether Heart it extends his life. Saheeli repaired it once.

The big score gave us another Gishath, Sun's avatar forever staple

Love the cactus folks.

Thanks, I figured there was something.

I think he's one of the more "extend my life at any cost" inclined aetherborn
