Oh, you know what I just realized? They're doing secret lair original cards with the time lord creature type, so they will be printing in universe versions and therefore creating the first equivalent creature type.

not sure how they do "Time lord" in the mtg universe but thanks to MKM with the "Detective" type becoming official in magic I can see "Doctor", "Scientist" and "Inquisitor" possible now.
and "Alien" the space set coming in 2025 is inevitable of making "Alien" type official in magic the gathering.

Time Lord doesn't exactly need an exact MTG creature type. They could easily make 15 as a starfish or gremlin as the Time Lord lords will not be getting UW versions. If WotC changes their mind on this, which won't be any time soon as this new UB Reserved List will mean more money later, they can worry about what the Time Lord type will translate to when that happens.

I was thinking a while back about how Lord is a creature type again, and how Time Elemental could join the group of creatures who have the same creature type and name
The Fifteenth Doctor really should've been RGWU instead of UR for those who are wanting to build Doctor Who decks in EDH / Commander with three or more colors. His abilities could've even triggered off of colored spells similar to Aragorn, the Uniter. HUGE missed opportunity on Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro's part. The Meep has some interesting card design and makes for some aggro shenanigans even though other colors specialize in that much more.

Time Lord is two words but a single creature type

well it’s actually almost has to be the same scenario as the “Tyranid” and “Astartes” creature types getting equivalents in the mtg universe
because believe it or not “Time lord” has a copyright on it.
heck the space set in 2025 might have a type ready for all three so the universe within might be so many they may need to do a “March of the machine aftermath”/“beyond boosters” type of thing.
and as for doctor 15 that’s pretty much a Christmas card for Saheeli, the Gifted decks
Romana II

Meep seems fun, throw it in reanimator to recycle your large reanimated creatures.
