How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
The I briefly talked about tomb raider in orginal thread
Life breaks free: wow is wayward swordtooth a huge flavor fail of making it a herbivore plus I feel the spinosaurus and the Tyrannosaurua Rex reskin cards need to switch places
ian Malcom: ok there you go you get your wish meme people a shirtless malcom (honestly home run on making that art on a Tasigur, the Golden Fang since the OG fate reforged/bananas art is similar pose and shirtless as well.)
Time stoppers: I guarateed you you this will only thus lair Will only be bought for the Nexus of Fate (first reprint)
Mycosynth Lair: that’s the chase lair of this drop bar none Mycosynth Golem value is literally exactly the same as a lair and for a cherry on top it has Mycosynth Lattice as well
Wormhole: ok this is really disguised as the “all 5 forever staples in nearly every commander deck in existence.” Package the boots is really the only good one in it for the price.
Showcase: the flavor text are home runs on these
Paradise: the bob Ross lair almost got me this one could be the same level especially since snow lands are a little better.
Gift warp: …… boy… this art is stinky I can barely make out what’s happening in each if you get it just like with “time stoppers” your only getting it for particular cards for this cards giver of runes and homeward path
The art on the Malcolm SL is so bad. Why is every single art in MTG featuring real people look so sub par? The Tasigur version is especially not good.
i think the artists wotc hires are not experienced in drawing real people, especially in portrait depictions of real people. but this seems to be general "issue" with contemporary artists working on popular content - not a lot of them is working with realistic depictions these days.
i like the wormhole art style but i'm not going to buy it for cards that i already have multiples and are worth very little compared to what they ask.
Those snow-covered lands look great. Too bad you don't get a stack of each so you can actually use them.
20 for $30 would be a good deal, I think, either picking 20 of one basic or 4 of each. At least then you could blink out an EDH deck with one rather easily, unless you run strictly 37 basics.
I don't understand who buys the basic SLs, they are the worst deal and have been since SL's inception.

I suspect most people who order them must really love those particular arts, and/or simply have more money than they know what to do with.
Alas, the same could probably be said for the people who bling out their commander decks with Beta basics and Arabian Nights mountains purely for bragging rights.
It's unlikely we'll see drops with twenty basics (at an affordable price) anytime soon, but there have been a couple instances where you could get ten at once (Featuring: the Mountain Goats, and Happy Little Gathering).
Personally, I order approximately two thirds of all SLs (usually foil bundles for the discount), but I keep most drops sealed as eventual trade fodder.
The nicest basic land SLs in my opinion are:
Meditations on Nature
The Dracula Lands
The Godzilla Lands
I'm also quite fond of the Seb McKinnon swamps (He's also an incredibly nice guy in addition to being a very talented artist), and the Sidharth Chaturvedi islands (which I got a dozen of individually on the secondary market for very cheap when they were on sale at my lgs)
Arguably, the worst by far were the Full-Text Lands. Why anyone would want this gimmicky nonsense in any deck is beyond my comprehension, but each to their own.
As for this current Superdrop, I'm still on the fence and uncertain as to whether I'll get a bundle, just a few drops individually, or particular singles once they hit the secondary market. After all, money is tight these days and everything is so expensive now that essentials must take priority.
I'm trying to work up the effort to voice my displeasure on these but it doesn't even seem worth doing so. Welcome to Magic the Apathy.

Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)
STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
I feel like with the special basics you don't wanna just put a whole 20 or whatever lands in, you want one or two so that they're still special. That's just the vibe I get tho idk people do what they want.
I absolutely love how apathetic I am towards all of these.
The Jurassic Park dinosaurs are especially funny with Tyrannosaurus taking the place of an MTG creature that is literally a Spinosaurus and the Spinosaurus taking the place of a creature that that is literally a Tyrannosaur. LOL so goofy.
The basic lands are beautiful. I was actually one of the goons that bought the first round of snow land secret lairs and blinged out my favorite deck with them. A costly endeavor and I'm shamed that I supported the way they package the basic lands. There's no reason the basic lands shouldn't come with a stack of them. But, I am part of the problem unfortunately.
Yeah, I can't say I'm interested in any of these at all. The snow lands look nice, but they've come out with a lot of nice-looking basics, so they're nothing special anymore.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Those snow-covered lands look great. Too bad you don't get a stack of each so you can actually use them.
It occurs to me that they can make 5 extra secret lairs of 5 of one basic, ex 5 mountains, 5 islands, etc...
