Ok wow Temur dinosaur tribal with Owen and blue but in the form of Kathril, Aspect Warper is awesome
hunting velociraptors…. My gosh why?!?! Wizards why on earth would you make the prowl cost that low dinosaurs have a truck load of trample and Gishath, sun's avatar, all 3 ghaltas usually hit. (Ps why not a legend it’s a safe bet this is suppose to be “the big one”)
UB getting one of the best dinosaur cost reduction cards is frustrating.
UB frustrates me often this way, like when 40k had the first good demon lord or many other effects you'd think would be put in a Commander deck for a normal set or in the set(s) themselves. It's so strange why they seem to favor UB this way.
With that said the art for actors/real people continues to be bad. Why is Owen's face look that way and lit that way? None of the UB art for real people look good, and I don't get why.
I wonder if there's some legal thing where they don't have rights to some or all of the actors' likenesses, so they can't make them look too similar.
Also, while the color identities make sense for the characters, it's super sad that you can't use Indominus Rex, Alpha in an Owen + Blue Commander deck, because their abilities synergize beautifully. Imagine T3 Owen, T4 Blue, T5 Indo coming in with Haste and Trample or Menace, and drawing you two cards, on top of whatever you get from the discard ability. (Yeah, you can put them all in a 4 or 5 color deck, but it's harder to assemble the combo without part of it easily accessible in the command zone).
Finally, I'm mildly annoyed at the art for Hunting Velociraptor showing two dinos-- there's three raptors on the island, and at the point depicted, one is in the jungle acting as bait for Muldoon and another is waiting in the maintenance shed to ambush Ellie after she turns on the power. The Clever Girl herself is the only one who could've been behind Muldoon as depicted. (I'll allow that having two dinos better conveys the intended flavor, though.
Also, note that Hunting Velociraptor not being a Legendary "The Big One" (or "Clever Girl," which would have been my choice) means it can be freely reprinted in a non-UB set with zero issues. Same deal with Ravenous Tyrannosaurus.

We also have this DFC Mountain, showing the before and after of the dinos being released.

Ha ha, once again I'm tripped up by UB (universes beyond) vs. UB (Dimir)
Hopefully this will get a universes within version at some point.
