Stuff like this should be limited to some Secret Lair variant. Modern and scifi stuff looks so wrong on Magic cards it's crazy. Can't tell you how much I dislike Dr. Who.

You just made cry Mirrodin/New Phyrexia
And Kaladesh
And Neo Kamigawa
And New Capenna
And old Thran Technology
And old Phyrexian Technology
And Brother's War Technology (that has same cyberpunk aesthetic of Warhammer 40k cards)
etc.
A large part of Magic is already and always been modern and scify, among traditional and fantasy stuff. Thats the whole point of having a multiverse and people exploring planes, literally everything is possibile somewhere. Seems you confused your personal preference of traditional fantasy as the only canon setting Magic could have (which, as just proved, is just doesn't hold water with facts)

We already went over this with kamigawa and the gangster plane I forget the name of. Magic is fantasy, not scifi/modern/futuristic.
The planes and tech you mention are still rooted in fantasy. The highest tech they reached before that was Kaladesh, which I thought was the limit because it was again still rooted in fantasy.
Brothers war tech does not look like 40k. I also thought it was really dumb to use 40k instead of Warhammer Fantasy or the ugly Age of Sigmar.
Magic is Fantasy.
I forget the name of. Magic is fantasy, not scifi/modern/futuristic.
Magic is ALSO fantasy, not ONLY fantasy. Never meant since the very inception of game to be exclusively traditional fantasy. Rocket Launcher seems straight of a cyberpunk fiction, and guess what, it's a magic card from 1994 of Antiquities, the second expansion of Magic. But I could make endless examples of modern aesthetic and weaponry in magic cards, way, way before neo kamigawa and capenna.
The planes and tech you mention are still rooted in fantasy.
Arguable. Portal 3 Kingdoms for example has 100% zero magic, it's a totally mundane set based on a chinese fiction on this real world. Also, do you think that making time or space travels with a phone box is somewhat believable or grounded with reality? "Magic is just science not yet explained" said somebody.
The highest tech they reached before that was Kaladesh
All Mirrodin blocks are extremely futuristic and cyberpunk much more than Kaladesh that is steampunk, and so, with an old 800' vibes, yours are just totally arbitrary distinctions just made up of personal tastes.
Magic can be potentially everything and you are simply ignorant of his history, his novels, his cards, worlds and countless different cultures, technologies and aesthetics. You literally don't know of what you're talking about and you are ignoring as "non-magic" simply the Magic stuff you don't like, nothing more, nothing less. Here you go an Alaborn Zealot so you can bleed your eyes of blood on more of Magic established use of weaponry and technology more or less based on modern and contemporary aesthetic.

For someone unable to remember something that was here only two years ago you surely have a strong and loud opinion, as usual...
And everything you said is entirely invalidated by something that came 20 years ago, in Mirrodin. Things like Pentavus, various myr, Grid Monitor etc. are just 100% robots.¨
So you do not like Doctor Who, we get it. But do not mix your very subjective personal tastes with unfounded axiomatic statements what Magic is and is not

Oh boy....more UB. I wonder what card(s) they push this time that warps formats. I've never understood the fervor around Dr. Who, seen some episodes and it seemed...fine, nothing more than that. WotC sure is bunting hard for me this past year, so many products I get to skip over.
It was spelled out on another version of the card. To time travel you put or remove a time counter from each suspend card you owe and each permanent that has a time counter on it.
Not shown here but they also have a variation of partner, Doctors Compion- You can have two commanders as long as the other is the doctor.

That'll be interesting to see how it works. I assume it's not just related to the creature types or it would be possible (and optimal) for changeling commanders to run one. Will the full rules just list all the cards?
Too much universes beyond all at once! I feel like next week is gonna be the reveal of the Clifford the Big Red Dog commander precons.
But if "time travel" is just messing with time counters, that's SO much less irritating than something like "the ring tempts you" or "the initiative" or even "the monarch".
I was never into universes beyond, but it feels like they're hitting that note way too hard all at once. I find myself not even reading new cards.
Apparently, there’s also been an image of the scene where Van Gogh is taken to a modern museum?
That one is something I feel odd about. With this and the upcoming Assassin’s creed, we might see some real-world historical figures appearing on cards, which Magic has not done for a VERY long time.
I have never watched Doctor Who, but when they first announced this product a few months back I watched a few clips on YT and read a few wiki pages. And you know what? It looked kind of fun! I could see why there's such a big fandom for it, and I even felt like I could've become a fan myself in a parallel universe where I grew up with it.
So it's not like I hate Doctor Who (or Warhammer, or LoTR, or any other franchises that have gotten UB cards) ... but I just can't bring myself to like the MtG crossover stuff. Yes, I know, Magic is very heterogenous. But searching on Scryfall and seeing that an interesting commander in the color combo I'm looking for is only available in the form of cross-promotion material for an outside IP, idk ... it just instantly kills all my interest in playing the game.
I watched a smidgeon of Dr. Who from the 80s, but outside of that I know nothing else of it. It does look rather cool and I like the exploration into other genres.
New Capenna reminded me so much of the Batman cartoon from the late-80s/early-90s. That style just...ahhhh I can't explain it. The aesthetic...*chef's kiss*

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

This is just never a good look on anyone. It's great that you are passionate about MTG, and about your MTG experience, and saying you are not into this product is actually awesome.
But the way you say it.. it's like saying that grocery stores shouldn't be allowed to sell mangos because yellow foods are wrong.

I don't think your grocery store example makes any sense here, but if it did, it'd be more like "who put these Steven Seagal dvd's in the the middle of the fruit and vegetable section? Who even stocked these movies in the first place?? we sell food here"
And lol, "it's not a good look on anyone" to say a game that has only featured fantasy settings for 30 years puts modern and scifi stuff in? I think it's perfectly reasonable to think that. Not a good look? lol come one man.

Oh sure, so now maybe you gonna try to convince me that stuff like Hulking Metamorph or Dredging Claw or Cradle Clearcutter won't fit on 40k aesthetic. You are just fooling yourself.

I have strong opinions on multiple word creature types - especially one that includes a word that used to be a creature type by itself.
I also have strong opinions on a creature type that is pretty much a character's name, but reads like a class.

I actually kinda liked that. Although the thought of Earth being part of the multiverse does feel weird and cringey.
