I know they've been throwing Collector's Boosters in most of the Commander Decks lately, but why on Earth are there Collector Boosters for the Doctor Who Commander Deck Only Product.

People have asked before for a way to get precon exclusives in boosters. Here, it's done with showcase art.
I don't know why I wasn't expecting this to have a Planechase component given how much sense it makes if you think about it. And speaking of things I didn't expect, shadow counters?

Thou shalt not have others of the same Legendary before me Thou shalt not frame images with the modern card face Thou shalt not change rules in vain Remember the Reserved List to keep it holy Honor thy Slivers and the symmetry of their abilities Thou shalt not kill mana burn Thou shalt not sacrifice depth for accessibility Thou shalt not steal combat damage from the stack Thou shalt tell a story through thy cards All must be one
New Planechase cards are nice, I guess. I don't know a lot about Doctor Who but if some of the cards are creative like some of the Warhammer cards then I am here for it.

Oh, they will be, they'll likely push the cards, the number of cards, and decks just like they did for 40k to make sure they sell.

Just saw this myself. Planar Magic makes a lot of sense. I begin to like the full-scale UB products. It's the dozens of promo versions and uncertainty about what card is available where that is more problematic.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

For the love of God Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro PLEASE DO NOT make 'The Timeless Child' a Saga card which retroactively retconned 60 years of established Doctor Who Canon. The problem with this is that it completely takes away the mystery of the Doctor as a character within the franchise. The mystery is the whole selling point of Doctor Who but when we get all the answers to the questions we've had since the beginning of the series then where's the fun in that? This is something that I don't think Chris Chibnall really understood as a former Showrunner of Doctor Who. Sure we got subtle hints of the Doctor's past but that's just part of the allure of the character we've grown to love.
With Russell T. Davies now back at the helm of Doctor Who they only brought David Tennant back as a bait and switch to try to bring back the viewers they lost from the horrible retcon of "The Timeless Children" to introduce the 14th Doctor. The BBC is now realizing that they need to go back to the series roots about why it was a fun franchise to begin with instead of viewers being lectured throughout each episode. Given the recent backlash Doctor Who has been getting recently I don't really see how that's going to translate into sales for the upcoming Magic: The Gathering crossover. Sure the Who fandom is still somewhat strong today but it's not the same franchise it once was before Chibnall took the helm.
It's unfortunate because this franchise deserves much better:
Jesus Christ, Who Is God Revealed In The Flesh, Bless America.
"Restriction breeds creativity." - Sheldon Menery on EDH / Commander in Magic: The Gathering
"God never gave me what I wanted, but He always gave me what I needed." - Anonymous
"Most men and women will grow up to love their servitude and will never dream of revolution." - Aldous Huxley, Brave New World
"Every life decision is always a risk / reward proposition." - Sanjay Gupta
