Saw this video from oldschoolmtg pop up in my recommended on YouTube. They opened one box in the video. I took screenshots from the video in case it gets taken down.
And one more card. There's also a few versions of Training Grounds in the video I forgot to screenshot because it was a reprint. A lot of concerning repeats of cards in the video.
The amount of duplicates amaze me (in a bad way) at least it seems we will get some training grounds in the market.
Deification with the Elspeth artwork let me think that maybe she will be the next Serra (like Serra was seen as God in different planes) or she will be the next white god in Theros? The special artwork from the card shows a straight up Elspeth in battle stance as star constellation not even a statue or something. The second effect is interesting too with Elspeth. All her version can make tokens.
And you missed: Plargg and Nassari 3RR

At the beginning of your upkeep, each player exiles cards from the top of their library until they exile a nonland card. An opponent chooses a nonland card exiled this way. You may cast up to two spells from among the other cards exiled this way without paying their mana costs.

With there only being 50 cards in the set, lots of repetition isn’t surprising. There are probably less than twenty uncommons that show up in 3-4 slots per pack
The combination of Convoke and Madness I quite enjoy. I liked it when they would mix keywords and mechanics, makes for far more interesting cards than them having a paragraph of text.

That is right... but duplicates in the same booster is really something... I am not complaining about the whole display. I think he opened up 2 Nissas in the same booster for example.
anyway training grounds reprint is huge. time for that card to leave its obnoxious $31 dollar price tag (im serious)
and tiro is gonna make a obnoxiously large comment of hype again because sparkless kiora is a even better sea monsters tribal legend than the one from jumpstart 2
Oh does “open the way” finally confirm we are correct on sparkless people being able to go to planes again? Or is that before nissa lost her spark.
i got a number crunch and I see some of the follows
16 (if mono black) or 41 (if rakdos/muticolored) should be Ob nixilis
26 could be ajani
36 or 37 should have nahiri
47-49 should have sigarda
50 should be karn (artifact creature)
Bonus: what is it with MOM anf also MAT being a christmas set for gishath, sun's avatar
MAT is giving the deck a Dimetrodon thats has naturalize and bojuka bog for a addtional GG atleast (and its a ETB so it could be just GG for the 2 most important ones if gishath hits it.)
I'm happy to hear Training Grounds is getting reprinted in a set with so few cards and even duplicates in the boosters. It it drops to an attainable price.

all i ahbe to say is what in the world took them this long to get this card reprinted. Any of the commander legends sets and master sets and especially battlebond could have reprinted this card

Notably there are a number of cards from Ixalan and Eldraine in the set which seems to be a plant for the future sets.
There is also a number of cards referencing Tarkir, Kaladesh and Ikoria which may give clues of where are we going next

My thoughts are the standard release schedule for 2024 will be centred around planes affected by the invasion before they start a new story arc, unless these post-invasion sets will start a new storyline all in and of itself.
But so many desparked 'walkers. Sarkhan? Kiora?
The artwork of Nissa and Chandra running into the grove hand-in-hand made me melt.

and that nissa/chandra art might be the final piece to the puzzle of the theory being correct of planar travel being possible for characters not planeswalkers like in the days before the mending (its likley nissa spark is lost in the picture)

Not that I complain that card was hella expensive
Also we already got 35/50 cards spoiled then.

It gave so much Legends of Korra's finale vibes...<3
