The Ravnica cards are sweet, though. Juri, Teysa and Judith most of all.
Yeah, obvious Alphonse Mucha influence there. Makes sense too, considering Ravnica's real world influence.

the most shocking on the list is Seizan, Perverter of Truth I had no idea that kami was still alive after the kami war
Oh, a lot of the old kami are absolutely still around. One of the reasons the Kami War was ultimately unwinnable for mortalkind was the fact that they operate on D&D summoned-creature rules: even if you destroy a kami's physical manifestation, it just pops back in the kakuriyo and someone will have to fight it again eventually. Possibly you.
Even if you're particularly violent and decisive about killing a kami with magic, it will STILL come back in a different form - Hidetsugu did just that to Keiga, on screen no less, and she eventually showed back up as Kairi.
Basically, they're sort of like Theros gods in that they represent ideas more than anything else.

I believe so. The sun will endure, and in time be associated with Heliod once more for example, or with a new sun god, and devotion to that entity will re-form a sun god in Nyx. It has happened before. I suspect Heliod specifically has the upper hand in his domain in this respect, because unlike in the past, the unique aspect of the present Theros pantheon is that they acquired awareness of both each other, and themselves. This stabilized the pantheon to the extent that marble statues, temples, and scriptures arose documenting this current pantheon, so it may be Heliod that re-appears as the sun god again.
I think I've learned to treat Magic cards like baseball cards: keep 'em in a binder in numerical order, don't play with 'em, try to finish the set and just keep my head down.

Thanks that also explains why jin-gitaxias was practicing on compleating walkers with kami in the first place.
WotC's blatant disdain for Lorwyn makes me sad. Am I correct in that it's the only visited plane that didn't get a special frame legendary?
Lorwyn isn't so much disdained as it has been giving Creative fits. There was one continuity mistake - involving Liliana, I think, and the time frame for when it shifts into Shadowmoor - and they had a constant row about it for 10+ years. I think it should be sorted out now, though, since Maro's actually been speaking about Lorwyn with hype instead of dread.

Shandalar, for all the history behind it, had no legends either. Kylem had none either. Xerex and Pyrulea are fine, they're Planechase planes each represented by their Invasion and some draft card.

They were scraping the bottom of the barrel already for recognizable legendaries. I could do the research and maybe find out that some core set legendaries were from Shandalar - but do they have enough backstory to even consider the unlikely pairings?
How interesting could the Kylem pairs even get when the plane by default already pairs Dragons and Knights as well as Angels and Dragons?
I feel they went for the best pairings and some planes just didn't provide. In fact, remove the "unlikely pairs" and the DFCs (Praetors and characters getting compleated) and you are lest with Glissa, Omnath, Quntorius and... Orthion.
Why does this set have Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink? Glissa had to get a nod somewhere in this arc, Quintorius gets to be a planeswalekr going forward and Omnath is the five-color Phyrexian commander now that Phyrexians are getting shelved and it's the last opportunity... but what exactly makes this set the place to print the card for Orthion "Ah, we have a critic." of Lavabrink?

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.
[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
Lorwyn gave us the game destroying concepts known as planeswalkers and hideously deformed kithkin. For those reasons alone it should be forgotten.
Planeswalkers seem to be pretty popular. And are the kithkin with eyes that make them look like Coraline's other mother really so bad? My only problem with Lorwyn has always been that they pushed the tribal theme too hard.
First off, our last mythics.
Then, the rares.
Finally, the ones you're most likely to see: the uncommons.
the most shocking on the list is Seizan, Perverter of Truth I had no idea that kami was still alive after the kami war
and also I had no clue Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma was from tarkir
Qal Sisma is indeed in Tarkir
as shown in Winds of Qal Sisma and Qal Sisma Behemoth

Spot-on. In fact, that's basically the flavor text of Planar Incision.

My 1570 card cube (no longer updated)
My 415 Peasant+ Artifact and Enchantment Cube
Ever-Expanding "Just throw it in" cube.
I think, those are the more popular version of Kithkin from Shadowmoor. Have another guess.

Interesting thought (as I am not in a position to research myself), what's the oldest reprint from this list?
he already got a reprint he was in double masters 2
It is Horobi, Death's Wail.
