I'm still so shell-shocked (yaaaas puns) that I have yet to even properly respond to this actually. I freakling ADORE this constellation Arixmethes. He deserves to be represented in Nyx!
It's easily the best constellation art we have.
plus now we see what arixmethes looks like as well
We've always known Arixmethes's appearance, although this is indeed our first chance to see his full unobscured form. This is a simplified depiction though, as the constellation artworks tend to be. I love it though.
I asked my friends to use this as a Simic Growth Chamber so I can play both this and the original in the same deck (original as Arixmethes himself)

that’s all I meant we see the part we didn't see in the orginal art
I really like the Ikoria treatment. It's one of the ones just made for this set, right? They didn't use it before on the Godzilla cards or something else I managed to forget, did they?
Pretty sure this is supposed to be the 'comic book' style frames from Ikoria. e.g.
OH, yes, I recognize that. I'm referring to the frame though with the Ikoria-typical crystals. Should have stated that better. IIRC the original 'comic book' style cards didn't have those.
The major planes now all have special local frames in addition to art styles. While many frames are returning some places didn't have booster fun yet - or at least not the full palette of treatments.
I'm all for it, but they are still working out some kinks in the system. They are using more and more weird frame tech for gameplay (colored artifacts, split cards (including aftermath variants), miracle frames, adventurers, levelers, different types of DFCs, mutate, prototype, Sagas, enchantment creature frames, ...) and these treatments used to be very specialized in what the can support (just remember the atrocity that was old-style frame planeswalkers).

|| UW Jace, Vyn's Prodigy UW || UG Kenessos, Priest of Thassa (feat. Arixmethes) UG ||
Cards I still want to see created:
|| Olantin, Lost City || Pavios and Thanasis || Choryu ||

Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."
